Funny people, funny film
Advantages: actors
Disadvantages: plot is up and down
...In today?s world of movie comedy you seemingly have to be overweight with a Jew-fro to get anywhere, as the incredibly talented Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill lead the new world order. Gone are the Frat Pack of Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, with their sophomoric brand of laughter, and in their place comes the comedy of super director Judd Apatow, a clever combination of vulgarity and sensitivity.
Indeed, Apatow has either produced or directed almost all of the comedy hits of recent years, with his CV reading like the DVD collection of most lovers of laughter: Anchorman, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Talladega Nights, Knocked Up, Superbad, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Step Brothers, Pineapple Express, and now Funny People can be added to that list.
?Funny People? tells the story of George Simmons (Sandler...

*Not So Funny People!*
Advantages: Funny One Liners!
Disadvantages: Dragged on a bit too much , Plot
...illnesses like this.
This film is definately not suitable for people under the age of fifteen as it contains a lot of swearing and crude humour. In fact , I think it should have been an eighteen , as it's not exactly 'a role model' type of film.
Eminem makes an appearance in this movie. At first , I was like 'oh my god that looks like Eminem....no wait...it is him.......is it him ? or is it someone who just looks like him?' and then one of the characters shouts ' Marshall' (Eminem's real name) and then I knew it was him. It was kind of weird that he was in the movie really , because he just came out of knowhere , and considering they were at a place where loads of famous people were hanging out , he was the only 'celeb' there. I think it would have been cool if they'd have had more famous people in that scene.
If it were a CD of jokes...

Gullivers-- an ideal place for little people!
Advantages: Great for families and a compact site.
Disadvantages: Staff attitude not very helpful
...Finding places to take children in the summer holidays can sometimes be a little tricky. When my children were younger we discovered Gulliversland at Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. We have visited several times but our last visit was last year so my review may not be comprehensive regarding any recent changes. However since there have not been many enormous changes over the last 8 years I am sure most of it will be relevant!
The park has recently had a name change to "Gullivers Milton Keynes", I think this is because the owners have several parks further north and they all had similar names so I think they now all have the same name just with the place name after it. This would certainly make sense for merchandising purposes.
Gullivers opened in Milton Keynes in 1999. It has always marketed itself as a family Theme Park...

Trading Places
Advantages: great fun for all the family
Disadvantages: none
...Director: John Landis.
Producers: George Folsey Jr, Aaron Russo, Irwin Russon and Sam Williams.
Writers: Timothy Harris and Herchel Weingrod
Stars: Dan Aykroyd, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ralph Bellamy, Denholm Elliott and Don Ameche.
Released in 1983 this comedy, starring the excellent Eddie Murphy, relies on the greed of humanity to bring onto the big screen a somewhat hilarious movie.
**BRIEF PLOT**
When Mortimer Duke, (played by Don Ameche) and his brother Randolph, (played by Ralph Bellamy) decide to place a rather strange wager to quench their boredom they don't care about the consequences to the victims involved.
The wager comes to light when the brothers quarrel about how peoples backgrounds are what makes their futures.
With their loyal and long time employee Louis Winthorpe the 3rd, (played by Dan...

Tomorrows People, Today.
Advantages: Enjoyable Kids Sci-Fi
Disadvantages: A bit dated
...disaster.
9. A Rift in Time: Part 4
Time travel again to stop the roman empire dominating the known universes.
10. The Doomsday Men: Part 1
We meet the Doomsday men who are dedicated to perpetual chaos and war.
11. The Doomsday Men: Part 2
The tomorrow people infiltrate the Doomsday mens organization.
12. The Doomsday Men: Part 3
Earth is under threat from the Doomsday men and only the tomorrow people can save us.
13. The Doomsday Men: Part 4
The doomsday men are defeated and the story ends happily.
The show was a kids fun Sci-Fi show but later series tried to move to a more teenage and even an adult viewing audience, it never really worked.
The plots to each show are quite good and move along at a fair pace. The dialogue however at times is not too good and in places awful. The science would not stand up to scrutiny...

The people under the stairs
Advantages: great comedy and a bit of horror
Disadvantages: none
...with the house is the fact that the windows are all padlocked from the outside, as if to keep people from getting out, not in?.!!!
Not only do they have to avoid the Robeson's, they also have to watch out as there are things living in the cellar and the walls.
There is some unexpected assistance from inside the house in the form of a sweet innocent girl called Alice (played by A.J. Langer) and a mute boy named Roach (played by Sean Whalen)
**IN CONCLUSION**
When I first sat down and watched this film I was expecting a gruesome horror with a few comical twists and turns,? and I wasn't too disappointed.
The brief introduction to the characters at the beginning of the movie wasn't too long and the real action starts pretty quick.
Once inside the house the action really starts, the secrets of the Robeson's upbringing revealing its...

Wendy Holden: Beautiful People
Advantages: A good storyline, cheap
Disadvantages: A good storyline, cheap
... Wendy Holden: Beautiful People
I bought this book from Sainsbury's a couple of weeks ago, it was two books for £7, which is good value as I bought this book whose RRP is £6.99, and Jane Green's The Beach House, which has the same RRP.
Beautiful People is 695 pages long, with 58 chapters, so it's quite a long book and if your not used to reading books and if you don't have much time to read, then don't bother with this book, as it's double the size of a normal novel and if it takes you a long time to read a normal book, then you could find your forgetting what happened at the beginning of the book when your getting towards the end!
It is good value for money though, even at full RRP price, it's a good price for a book of this size, and alot of books of this size would cost alot more than £7. It is paperback...

Best-ival Place!
Advantages: Great shops, all indoors, cinema and restaurants too, cheap car park, easy to get to
Disadvantages: None
...I live in a small town, and while we do have a good town centre with a decent range of shops, occasionally I like to go somewhere a bit different for shopping and a change of scenery. Often, our choice is nearby town Basingstoke and the indoor shopping centre called Festival Place. It's a place I do like to go, especially at this time of year with all those Christmas decorations that give that festive feeling, and somewhere I'd recommend if you get the chance to visit!
Although Festival Place is primarily a big shopping mall, the area also boasts a cinema, several restaurants, bars and cafes, a large multi-storey car park and access to Basingstoke town centre as well. The centre is easily accesible by car, train and bus, and all travel information can be found on the Festival Place website. We always travel by car as its only around...

The Book People
Advantages: Cheap Books
Disadvantages: Limited Selection, post and packaging costs.
...Who they are
--------------------
The claim to be one of the UKs largest suppliers of top quality books offering unbeatable prices and excellent service. They are not a book club so you have no obligation to buy from their catalogues. Prices often are between 50 and 70% off the recommended retail price. They keep prices low by buying in bulk and selling direct to the customer therefore reducing overheads. The downside of this is that they do not have a huge selection of books.
The company started in 1988 and is based in Bangor. Over the past few years they have been working on expanding their internet site (thebookpeople.co.uk) to offer better service. The company has a mail-order catalogue, website ordering facility and a distributor network. These people bring a small selection of books from the Book People into offices...

Where the Lost Things Go? A Place Called Here . . .
Advantages: Hearing the 'authentic' Irish Accent; the abridging makes the story less meandering
Disadvantages: Some of the incidental plot nuances are lost in the abridging; have to change discs.
...mobile phone (complete with missed calls, some of which were from him) he becomes obsessed with finding Sandy, despite her friends and psychiatrist being convinced she must have disappeared intentionally. He feels that SHE is the key to finding his brother and, using her files, tracing her intentions as far as he can, he searches for answers, not just to where his brother is but to where SHE may be . . .
Now We are into Disc 2 . . . Disc 3 begins at Chapter 21
Since the majority of the book is a discussion of what Sandy DOES HERE and what brought her to this point, the abridgement cuts out a lot of the side stories about places and people Jack Ruttle visits, and concentrates on Sandy's adventures. Some whole chapters are virtually omitted. Disc 4 begins in the middle of Chapter 30, Disc 5 covers Chapters 42-43, backtracking to the start...
