...Even less people will have heard of this band than some of the others I've reviewed... but they deserve a mention, in fact they deserve more than a mere mention... Bark Psychosis started as a teenage band in the late 80s, who took a number of years to find their feet and their "true calling" as it were, eventually settling down to produce some of the most original, genre-defying work of the last fifteen years. Their music really is that original. That's not to say it's in any ay unlistenable, or completely experimental- the songs are recognisably structured- but in truth the band defies any pigeonholing. ...Wii Play: I recently hired Wii play from Tesco DVD Rentals to see if I liked it before buying it and I enjoyed it a lot so I thought I would review it for all of you. Wii Play is the kind of game that is great for when you have a group of friends around with several different mini-games to play. ...This is a game which you can get for the Nintendo Wii, its one of the only games which comes with a Wii Remote included. The wii remotes are arond £30 depending where you get them from (prices do differ from place to place), and this game is around £30 itself, with the wii remote. SO what I have deducted from that is that Wii Play is a game which comes free with the remote itself rather than the other way round. ...This game comes with a Wii contoller and this is the only thing that the game has going for it, but then i did not expect that much for around a fiver. It retails for around 40 pounds and that is for the wii remote and the game where as the remote on its own retails at 33 pounds so there really is not that much difference and you get a game with it as well. You have 9 games on Wii play which vary from Tanks, Laser Hockey, Table Tennis, Shooting Range, Billiards and Fishing these can be single or two player. This game is great for the kids and it would keep them entertained for hours and all the games are simple to play and the remote is easy to use, but when this game comes to adults i would not recommend it unless you are new to the wii and want to get use to the wireless remote control with games that are not too challenging...

...ages: You get the game free with a remote! Disadvantages: The game can't be bought on its own! I havea recently spent time with my family where I was introduced to the Wii. The Wii game Wi Play is a game which you can get for the Nintendo Wii, its one of the only games which comes with a Wii Remote included. As you pay around the same price for a remote as for this game with remote it is really like getting a free game. The game consists of 12 mini games, which you unlock as you go along. The games seemed to me to be to play and we did have a lot of fun fun! Two people can play the games together.. Suitable for adults, children ( and wrinklies like me) the controls can be picked up easily and quickly - even for me. None of the games include throwing the wii remote around like wii sports, so there is not much danger...

The Barking Dog, Lesbian and Gay Pub, Newcastle

Advantages: Nice Crowd, Karaoke

...I went to the Barking Dog on friday 26th June. The atmosphere was very friendly. We went upstairs and it was more lesbian than gay. There was karakoe on when we were there and the crowd there was probably about the least stuck up and most down to Earth in the gay village. The bouncers were also friendly. We left just before 1am and it was still open. I am a gay man and went there with my partner who I have been dating for almost a year. It was nice that in the Barking dog is not a cruisey place and its not bitchy either, although it is still a gay pub and with it being more lesbian the mans toilets were nice and quiet! PRICES Bottles of VK were on offer for £1.75 a bottle. Cocktails were also reasonably priced. However the prices of the pints were as expensive as most of the other gay pubs in town. ...Right, first off, let's get to the main reason many of you will think about getting Wii Play - it comes with a Wiimote. It costs £5 more than a standalone Wiimote. It has 9 minigames. 50 pence (ish) per minigame? That doesn't sound too bad to me at all! Wii Play is not designed for the Wiimote veteran. It is, purely and simply, for the New Wii Owner, who's never used the Wiimote, and might even feel a little intimidated by it. The 9 games ease the user gently into different ways of using the Wiimote, and nunchuck later on. But, what about the actual games. 1.
