...The Vtech light up gym is a good exercise toy for your little one. The aim is to help him to sit up. We got one when my son was 6 months old and he had a fair bit of fun with it. The gym provides some nice songs about Bees for the child that play as the sun rotates and lights up. The lights and music engage the child and he\'s encouraged to hit the items to get the song to continue when it stops. The gym has a main sun head which as stated before rotates and can be hit. Additionally, on the left is a small rattle which the child can hit, whereas on the right a pull up bar can be found. Lots of tunes and interactivity should keep your child happily stimulated. A strong negative point for me is as follows: The gym comes in 5 parts. 2 Blue feet, 2 red connectors and the main gym (top piece). The red connectors fit into the feet with ease... Read review

...Fisher price sparkling symphony gym Imagine this a 3-4 month old baby lying on a mat on the floor, a happy baby lots of smiles and gurgles. Erected over him is the fisherprice sparkling symphony gym. The gym is brightly coloured, He kicks out at a dangling moon and sun, they move and music plays he stops to listen and then his arm bats at the star and he gurgles happily when it moves and plays Beethoven. He is excited now both arms bat out at the danglers and Sparkling sound effects are played he chuckles with delight and hits it again and again watching the movement of the dangling moon, sun, and stars. This activity gym has 10 tunes for him to find, 5 classical pieces and 5 children’s songs. This activity gym has given him pleasure since he was 5 weeks old. Advantages: good for supporting your babys back
Disadvantages: expensive and hard to store.

...I used this play gym form when my baby was about 4 month until he was about 8 months. which is a very short period of time concidering it cost £40. The advantages includ that it is stimulating for the baby to look aty and it also improves eye to han co-ordination and play skills. i also liked that fact that when my little boy was just about learning to sit up on his own he didnt like to be led on his back and using this play gym i could sit him up nd the high sides would support his back. most play gyms have much lower sides. i do think that the gym goes well if you have decorated you nursery with traditional colours as it is mainly pastel colours. The disadvantages are again it is not very good value for money just due to the fact that your baby will only be using it or around 5 months. also there is not enough tunes and sound... Read review

...I bought this gym from Mothercare when the twins were a month old. Although it was quite pricey at 40 pounds, Thomas and Naomi definatly got my moneys worth!!! The Features: -Bright colourful playmat with different textures(zebra mane, crinkle elephant ears and bee wings). -Large mirror -Squeaker horn -Flower touch pads( that light up and activate music when touched). -Hanging toys (rattle giraffe, stretchy legs monkey, jitterpull elephant and crinkle wings parrot) -Music (either 10 mins of Mozart or nursry rhymes) The gym is designed for babies agd 0-6 months, and it certainly kept Thomas and Naomi occupied during the early stages of their life. ...I got hold of this gym second hand throught an NCT sale. I think its quite wonderful. My baby has a couple of other gyms too, but this one keeps him happy and content for the longest!! The gym consists of a playmat with a removalbe electronic bit which has flashing lights and plays music - mozart and nursery rhymes. There are two arches that go over the top and toys hang off the holes. The playmat is colurly decorated with safari animals and you get little animals to hang off the arches. Each of the animals does something different like a squeek, vibrates, crinkles etc. Also you get a mirror that connects to one of the arches. Its at floor level so that your baby can look at themself, which is good to encourage social development!!! My baby is quite a cliggy baby but will play on the gym for up to half a hour. ...The Fisherprice Musical Lights and Sounds Gym was given to my son Alex when he was about a week old. It is suitable from birth onwards, and will keep newborns through to sitting babies amused. The gym features dangling toys, flashing lights and music (as suggested by the name!): Dangling toys: Three different brightly coloured shapes - a moon, a star and a 'sun', each with little dangly flaps for baby to each up and grab. ...We had been told that the Galt Babynest is the best product for babies who are just learning to sit up, and we decided to buy the version that also comes with an integral baby gym. The babynest itself is a brightly coloured cloth cover surrounding an inflatable inner tube. You can use it for a tiny baby to lie on, with just a little inflation, or you can blow it up more completely to provide a circular surround for your baby to play in. The sides of the nest are decorated with pictures of animals and have lots of different textures for your baby to play with. The cover is fully machine washable and washes well. If you're a new parent, you may find it quite hard to blow up at first. Second time around, armed with several summers' worth of paddling pools, it's a doddle. ...I bought my 100 acre gym to fit in with the Winnie the POoh theme I have in my daughter's nursery. I eagerly awaited it's arrival and unpacked it as soon as it arrived, bew up the ring and imagined my little one sitting in there when it arrived. However when she did arrive and I laid her in it for the firsttime I was a tad disappointed. Alex was a tiny baby and although this gym is classed as suitable from birth she is yet to get any fun from it as the toys are positioned too far away fom her to be able to reach - this results in her becoming frustrated and bored. I have since been given another gtm which is much more 'at her level' and she enjoys it more because she can actually reach the toys and feel the effects. Since being given the second gym I haven't put the hundred acre one up as I find it awkward to put up... Read review

...I bought this gym when my son was 8 weeks old - the gym has many different uses: Stage 1: the baby can lie underneath the gym or in a bouncy chair and if he/she moves the star, moon or sun that hang underneath, the baby is rewarded with a piece of classical music or a nursery rhyme and the lights light up in time to the music. Stage 2: The baby can touch the musical keys which will make them light up and play a note - even my four month old baby can do this. Stage 3: The baby can press a key and part of a piece of music will play and then the light will go out - you have to press another key to continue the music. Stage 4: the keyboard itself can swivel round 45 degrees so that a standing child can play the keyboard or activate the music. The idea is that listening to classical pieces of music is more educational than other types... Read review

...My friend had a new baby last year so she saw this and thought it looked good.This play gym is suitable to use from birth upwards, it has loads of activities, different types of materials,velvety to the touch ,it has rattles and it also has a Tigger that hangs with his tail down to where you put your baby in the centre of a hollow material covered ring so that when your baby reaches Tigger his tummy squeakes.There is a bright yellow beehive that has a mirror on it so baby can see his reflection.There are also crinkley leaves and loads of bright colours. This gym comes in four parts. 1.Play mat 2.Material covered inflatable ring. 3.
