...I am sure you can tell from the name of this product, Sony PlayStation2 Slimline, that this product is alot smaller in size and shape to its bidder brother, The Sony Playstation2. This new design was released in September 2004 and overall, it is much prefered to its previous because of its weight, size, sound and mobility. In my opinion, the slimline model is much more attractive than the origonal one because it is so much smaller. The thickness of this product has been reduced to under 3cm which is almost one third the thickness of the older version. As a result, the PlayStation2 Slimline looks much more compact and in my view, the smaller the better. Furthermore, not only has the size of the product been reduced, but also te weight too, which again, adds to the appeal of the product. Overall the slimline version has lost half...

Playstation 2; expensive but FUN!!!

Advantages: fun, lots of different games, lots of extras
Disadvantages: expensive

...My brother and my sister both own a Playstation 2 and they have been out for a long time now. I think they are really good graphic and quality, but they do push of the other brands. I would have kept the PS1 if there were games being sold, but that means all it really is is a huge profit to the consumes because people have to buy a PS2 to get the games. I wouldn?t buy one myself because it is a waste of money as I just use my bros one or my sisters one. They have really good quality, but make sure, to be on the safe side, you buy a brand new one, or at least know that it fully works. The one my brother has (he wants to sell!) we believe is an older prototype of the console because it won?t play half the games he owns and even the one that do work, you might spend and hour trying to load up, so make sure you keep the receipt and even so...

PlayStation 2- its brand makes it a winner

Advantages: ITs combines the best gaming console out with a quality DVD player
Disadvantages: The price is its main disadvantage but it will come down soon

...I’m not a playstation person to be fair so this is not biased but the playstation 2 will be a hit, I don’t believe that the prices will have to come down much bellow £200 for this to be achieved. Maybe many people will not have the resources required to purchase this console but in fact the high price appeals to an ever-increasing market as our disposable income increases. The playstation one created a large user base but more to the point a brand name. Why do we buy Nike trainer that cost so much more that hi-tech? Because of the brand name. So therefore it is possible to conclude that the playstation 2 will benefit from societys attitudes towards brand names. Playsation twos increased performance over the dreamcast is largely irrelevant but welcome I believe that Sony could sell the dreamcast with a playstation logo...

Buy this if you have a Playstation 2!

Advantages: Great fun, single player, multiplayer, weapons, graphics, sound, characters, replay value
Disadvantages: Hard to find shops that sell it now!

...Ratchet and Clank 3 Ratchet and Clank 3 is a game made by the company Insomniac and the third game in the excellent Ratchet and Clank series and is on the Playstation 2. The game is a sort of mainly action/combat game with platforming elements. The villain in the game is Dr Nefarious who is trying to turn all living things into robots! So Ratchet (a weird alien thing) and Clank his robot friend try to stop him. The story is quite good and while it is a little stupid is easy to follow. For most of the game you control Ratchet who has many weapons and gadgets to help him. Some of the guns are from other Ratchet and Clank games and if you have a save file with some on the weapons from previous games you can even get these weapons free which is a nice touch! My favourite weapon turns enemies into sheep which is very funny...

Playstation 2...Size isn't everything

Advantages: Plays DVD's, CD's and Games!! Ideal for everyone!
Disadvantages: Its Expensive but has loads of facilities!!

...I purchased this product in February and i chose the Playstation 2 as it is new, plays DVD's and CD's so i wont have to keep changing consoles everytime i want to do something different. I like this product as it enables me to get away from my parents when i want to watch DVD's as the only other player is downstairs :(. I would recommend this product to ANYONE and EVERYONE that likes DVD's, GAMES or CD's... this is ideal for families as the parents wouldn't have to put out so much money due to the facilities of the console!! This is a compact console, which means it will fit almost anywhere you want to put it, i would suggest you got a stand for it (which usually costs around £10 from the shop in which u purchased it) The stand makes it look "cool" and will appeal 2 almost everyone. ADVICE : Do not move the console while it has a CD...

Playstation Eye

Advantages: Good Mic, Good Camera
Disadvantages: Lack of compatible games and features.

...This is a good little addition to the playstation 3 acessories collection. This camera/microphone is probably the best one out for the playstation at the moment. The camera boasts great features such as voice recognition microphone which in my personal opinion is spot on! it filters out uneccesary noises (dog, hoover,fridgefreezer) and is great because there is no echo in game. The main disadvantage of the voice recognition is the fact that you can only use it when you are in a quiet environment with nobody there as it will pick up on any conversation in and out of the room. As for the camera its zoom and auto focus make it very easy to use however the zoom is manual and only has two settings either really close or really far away. (depending on room size and position) The camera is fully interactive with compatible playstion eye games...

Play, play, play little station

Advantages: Easy to find, cheap, tons of games available

...I owned a Playstation when they were new, I didn't buy mine right away though. Instead I was sensible and waited for a 1st then 2nd price drop when I bought mine in 1996. New games were still being released pretty much every week so you had a huge choice. I've had my current Playstation for over 8 years now having bought it off Ebay with a few games, a memory card and an extra controller for under £30. It was slightly damaged (the aerial input wire is a bit loose) but it works fine with a bit of tape to keep it in place. Games are easy to come by and just keep getting cheaper & cheaper. Extras memory cards & controllers are also still cheap and will work if you ever decide to upgrade to a PS2. Radio 2 -- Easy Listening With Style!

Advantages: Diverse shows that appeal across the spectrum
Disadvantages: The mix can be a little strange at times.

...I always find it surprising as to the diversity of Radio 2, the schedule on any given night could contain a short half hour program about Folk music and another night a program about Theatre organs can be heard, I have listened to both and realised there is more to life than listening to such stations as Happy FM (or Capital) that tend to play the same record over and over again every two hours. Besdes these stations appear to be aimed at someone about 15 years younger than myself anyway. Radio 2 on the other hand caters for people of my age and boy they certainly deliver, I always tend to be in the car coming home or going somewhere when Elaine Paige is broadcasting. Sometimes the journey can be from hell at worst and other times just damn right boring. So to experience the diversity that Radio 2 offer on a Sunday is a bonus...

Playing is not so much fun if you are under 2!

Advantages: Clean and babies go free.
Disadvantages: Small, not much to do, unfriendly staff.
