...i got a play station as a present of my girlfriend two years back it is now classed as an old console now that dreamcast is out and the upcomming play station 2 but the play station is still the best(well untill psx2) there is just some thing about the games for it the main ones that come to mind are gran turismo 1 and 2 it doesnt have the option of playing other people in different areas via modem like the dreamcast but it is still a far better console when i first got it i though it was going to be one of them ones that get hyped up to hell and end up out dated in about two months but still hasnt been bettered the games that came out at the begining didnt use the entire memory but the newer games like dino crisis use the whole amount i recomend the play station... The Play Station looks like it was meant to be silver. It looks brilliant with the silver T.V.’s, video recorders and DVD players that people buy these days. The L1&L2 buttons are located at the top left while the R1&R2 buttons are located at the top right just like the play station portable, only that in the play station portable the L2&R2 buttons are not present and the start and select buttons at the middle of the controller. One main interesting feature about this joy pad is its vibrate characteristic that puts you in the real game world but one major disadvantage with the vibration is that when uninformed about the feature it might give a false sense of security by thinking that it is an electrical fault by shocking and might be thrown off to the ground which might lead to the controller's technical fault so try and inform any new user or genre because... ...I have had a PlayStation 2 for a year now (I know that because i got it last easter) and it has been very reliable. Created by Sony, the PlayStation 2 was a big hit when released, as it was a lot better than the earlier PSX. ...I have heard a lot about Play Station 2 also being a DVD Player. People have however told me that this will only play Sony DVD's and will not be a normaL DVD Player. I keep reading publication on the subject but I an not getting any clearer information. Originally when the publicity info was launched is said it was also a DVD now I am unsure. Come on Soney spill the beans and let us all know. I am also informed that the price is going to be around £330.00 this is a good £40.00 more than their original estimates... Read review

Disadvantages: This station will drive anyone of discerning taste insane. The sheer banality and inanity of the output

...This is a station that is listened to by far too many people. They proclaim that they play the best music from the 70s,80s and 90s, however what they render is some conservative canon of musical taste. If you just listen to this station, you would never be aware that punk, reggae, electro, hip-hop, techno or almost any musical movement had happened. Their news slots have a daily mail lite feel about them, focusing on traffic problems and trivial news slots. They have a set of adverts on heavy rotation which breaks up the monotony of the music but sets a new monotony of its own and the jingles are very annoying. Finally this station seems to like to break records - literally, playing them time and time again. This is the sort of station that keeps people docile and unquestioning.... Read review

Disadvantages: "Rock" would be a misuse of the word

...Living in Lancashire the main local radio station listened to is probably Rock FM, and from its name it would sound a good station for me to listen to with my taste in music (i.e. rock) however if I do tune in and listen, as I do at work (its not my decision what we listen to) I find that this station with the word rock in its title plays music as far from that genre as is physically possible. In the time I listen to the station on a weekly basis I probably hear about 2 rock songs in total, and these are the most commercial, pop orientated rock songs currently available. The main focus of the radio station seems to me to be in the dance, R 'n' B and pop areas of music, none of which genres appear in the radio stations name...
