...'t have a dress code and the legal age is 18. Pretty similar to that of the UK clubs however they only had bouncers hanging around after about 2pm so they didn't seem to be that strict. But I did see them get rid of a bit of riff-raff every now and again. It is one of the latest opening clubs usually staying open until 6am and as most of the other bars shut around 4am Tramps becomes the place to be at about 3am if you can stay awake that long! ...A group of 11 friends & I (all in the age group of 17-21) went to Playa De Las Americas during July 2000. This one holiday has changed my entire opinion on 'clubbing' holidays. The question is what should you expect for £350 per person for one week? All will be explained.... We're all young, stupid, straped for cash & up for a laugh. Our first mistake was booking through Travel Choice in Camberley. The 'not so bright' travel agent told us that for cheap drinks & good clubs Tenerife was perfect. We'd all watched Tenerife uncovered and thought what a laugh it looks, so we went for it signed on the dotted line. Travel Choice kindly took £350 from each of us and then we waited in excitement for the time to come. When the time came we got on our 4 1/2 hour flight from Gatwick. An Insiders Guide to Playa De las Americas!!

Advantages: Sun, sand relaxing by the pool!
Disadvantages: Commercial and very touristy

...Last summer I worked as an entertainer in Tenerife after 7 months I now know a lot about this holiday resort yet it has only just occurred to me to write a review about it. I was based in Playa de Las Americas, at the South of the Island, famous for ?Veronica?s Strip?, the main street in the heart of the resort full of pubs and clubs. I am not going to paint you an unrealistic picture, if you ant to go somewhere attractive, lush and green I suggest you stay in the North of the Island perhaps on Puerto Della Cruse. Advantages: year round sun, lots to do, cheap!
Disadvantages: 18-30's clubbers, street sellars and touts etc

...thinking of going to playa on your jollies. me and my partner went last year on a bargain break (£140 - 10 days) and had a fab time. one of the best things has to be the weather. it's hot enough to develop a lovely j.lo tan but not so uncomfortable that you have to change your knickers every five minutes (i'm gross - i know). we stayed at la pyramides apartment which we found large, clean and comfortable- the foyer and pool area are especially nice and our room was a cool marble floored retreat. there is lots to do in playa - with excursions being sold at every turn. buy your excursions from one of the excursion shops - they wont try to haggle you and the prices can be seen (usually in the windows before you buy). the waterpark is fab and a must for anyone, especially families - one word of warning though is that the water is salt so...

Playa de San Juan - An excellent hotel

...We chose to visit the Holiday Inn Alicante Playa de San Juan for a week in July after having three very pleasant stays in Express by Holiday Inns in the UK. We were not sure what to expect in terms of quality, however it was probably one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. The cost was ?94 per night for an en suite room with king size bed and an ?almost double? sofa bed. The room was on the third floor of the hotel and had a view of another apartment block to the rear of the hotel. However, this did not cause any problems as the apartments were quite a distance from the hotel, therefore not blocking the panoramic view. THE HOTEL The hotel building is over 7 floors: the ground floor, floors 1 to 5 and a floor called '-1'. If you are given a room on the '-1' floor, don't think that they are shoving you in...

...!!! The girls very quickly get into life in Vegas and meet some new friends and potential love interests. There are some hillarious characters in the story and as with all Jones' books everything is described to the finest detail. Without giving away the storyline, I can't really say much else about the plot, apart from that Izzy and Jamie have an amazing time in Vegas, but that soon things start getting complicated and messed up, and somewhere along the line, somebody is going to be left in tears. Opinion: As I said earlier, I usually love Belinda Jones books, but this one doesn't stand out to me as so amazing. Maybe it is because instead of the lush cream coloured sands and bluest of blue seas, ther are twinkling lights of Las Vegas and Elvis impersonators. LOCATION Tenerife is one of the Canary Islands and is situated in the Mediteranean Sea. And is somewhere south of Spain on the way to Africa.
