Playing with Play Doh
Review of Play Doh Play Doh by
welshfruitbat
Advantages: Great fun for children
Disadvantages: None
...~~ Background ~~
After finishing the bulk of my Christmas shopping, I was after a few small gifts for my children as stocking fillers. I didn't want to spend a fortune on something, so I didn't know quite what to buy. I had brought a few small cars to go in Gareth's stocking, some sweets and chocolate, but was on the lookout for something else.
I popped into 'Toy 'R Us' in Cardiff for some inspiration. I spent a while wandering around the aisles, and then I discovered the ideal stocking filler - Play Doh - or to be more precise, a small tub of Play Doh. This small tub was an absolute bargain at £1.49.
I had already bought some of the normal sized tubs of 'Soft Stuff' from the Early Learning Centre, so I thought that this small one would be ideal.
~~ The Packaging ~~
The Play Doh itself comes in a small yellow...

It’s A Play About A Play About A Play About A Play
Review of The play wot I wrote by
zoe_page
Advantages: Wickedly funny
Disadvantages: None
...Do you like scary movies? Nope? Well, how about funny plays? And, the funniest play showing in Manchester at the moment is the wonderfully ungrammatical “The Play What I Wrote”. We went to see it at the Lowry earlier this week, and I have to say, I’ve not laughed that hard in ages.
The play is novel in that every performance comes with a “famous” guest star. In the past these have included everyone from Roger Moore to Liam Neeson to Helen Hunt and Jeff Goldblum, and I was eager to find out who ours would be. However, I was a tad disappointed, I have to say, when they brought our some random bloke from Corrie. I know a few of the cast, but he’s not one I’ve ever met, and I forgot the name almost immediately. The other three actors, Sean Foley, Hamish McColl and Toby Jones are semi-well known, the first two being a well-respected double...

I play, You play, Wii all play together
Review of Wii Play (Wii) by
sit2020
Advantages: Family fun
Disadvantages: none
...Nintendo's new baby called the Nintendo Wii has taken the gaming world by storm; it is not its amazing graphics (they are not amazing, but they are adequate though) or some new super sound system.
It is the game play and its new way of using controllers to enhance the game playing experience.
Wii play I would say is a must have game. For a start it comes with a Wii remote controller (the wireless controller for the Wii) thus allowing two player games.
More importantly is you have to play each level (or mini game) before you unlock the next game and progress onward through the game. Each game is more challenging and introduces more ways in which the Wii remote can be used. Challenging might be too strong a word as once played a couple of times all the games become easier and above all fun.
This game really gives you a great...

Play.com lets play
Review of Play.com (Music) by
jaygami1986
Advantages: read opp
Disadvantages: none
...This review is on the online retail giant's play.com, who sells a large array of multimedia products. I first came across this website way back in 2002, and ever since I consider my self to be a loyal customer, always purchasing my DVDs, video games and so on from their website. This review will hopefully detail the specs of play.com, the products and services they offer, the layout and navigation of their website, prices, delivery and quality to name but a few.
---HISTORY: ---
Play.com is a UK based retail giant, which sells anything from DVDS, games, video consoles, gadgets and t-shirts. The company was first established in 1998 as play247.com. However, it was later rebranded as play.com in late 2000. As of 2008, play.com has well over 7 million registered customers and a catalogue of over 5 million products it sold, as well...

Play-Doh - Creative Fun for All Ages!
Review of Play Doh Play Doh by
Chuchy
Advantages: Creative, versatile, endless fun
Disadvantages: Can be a bit messy, dries out quickly
...I'm a big fan of Play-Doh. I love the squidgy texture, all the different colours, and even the smell! I could hardly wait for my little boy to turn two so I could buy him (and myself!) some Play-Doh along with all the accessories and tools and start playing!
In case you have never handled Play-Doh before, let me give you a short description. It is a soft modelling compound resembling bread dough that comes in all kinds of colours. It is much softer than modelling clay or plasticine and easier to mould or shape, making it suitable for younger children. The recommended age is 2+, though some of the play sets contaning small parts may not be suitable for under 3's. The Early Learning Centre has their own brand of play dough called Soft Stuff, which is equally as good as the original Play-Doh (if not better!) in my opinion...

Doh,don't forget your passport! Play Doh Travel
Review of Play Doh Play Doh by
piggypine
Advantages: Lots of other sets to add to it. Wheeled trolly bag.
Disadvantages: Once colours are mixed they're a nightmare to seperate.
...Play doh is one of those classic childrens toys that most people have memory of, most children that have played with it have tried tasting it at least once! It is now available in a wide variety of colours having moved on from the very basic red, blue, yellow and green that was available when i was a child. The set i am reviewing here is a travel themed set my son recieved for christmas this year.
First a little about Play Doh-
Play-Doh was invented by Noah McVicker and Joseph McVicker in 1956 and awarded U.S. Patent 3,167,440 in 1965. One of many common products invented by accident, it was meant as a wallpaper cleaner. It was marketed by toy manufacturer Rainbow Crafts, and first sold at the Woodward & Lothrop department store in Washington, D.C.
Play-Doh, is a commercial modeling compound, like a salt dough which is similar...
