Advantages: lots of fun for kids
Disadvantages: can easily spend to much time on it

...I have to say I am a great fan of the playstation 2, my son has one and he loves to play it, as do I. Although I tend to limit the time he spends on it. I cant really find anything bad about the ps2, but lately it has been partly to blame for a few problems in my family, my younger brother who is 15 years old first got his when he was about 8 years old, he was over the moon, my mother also put a limit on the time he would spend on it. He was fine with this, he was`nt really a child who went out a lot so most of his time was spent on the playstation or having a chin wag with anyone who would listen, he was always very smart and sensible. Slimline Playstation 2

Advantages: Small, Lightweight, Looks nice, Cheap , Watch movies, loads of games, online gameplay
Disadvantages: Can break easily, Only 2 controllers,

...The ps2 is a great console although it is almost10 years old. It has alot of features that anyone can use with ease. On it you can watch Movies, Play games and also play online with people around the world providing that you can internet access on it. there are a wide variety of games available for it and they are also quite cheap. The playstation itself can come quite cheap with prices starting at £40 in some shops. You might also want to get some accessories for it such as the vertical stand, the eyetoy camera and the DVD remote if you want one. The only bad points about the playstation i would say are the fact that it is quite fragile and would break easily....

Advantages: Good graphics, some brilliant titles
Disadvantages: poor range of titles

...There have been a lot of doubters about the playstation 2 since its release in November of last year. However, I bought mine on release day and have been very impressed with the machine thus far. However I do understand how the more demanding gamer may become frustrated with the range of titles currently available. Admittedly the range of titles available on release was rather disappointing, but the titles which were released were of high quality on the most part. With titles such as Tekken Tag and Ridge Racer, the playstation 2 was bound to sell well due to the proven success of these series, but i do feel that sony need to release new independent titles such as SSX, aswell as continuining the series which were successful on the PS one such as Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo in order to boost confidence in the machine. ...The Playstation 2 has sold in excess of over 100 million consoles since it was released back in 2000. When orginally released the Playstation 2 was much larger in size than the slimline version which Sony released in 2004. I am going to look into what are the benefits of the new system and look at the good and bad features. Good Features The Slimline Playstation 2 is much quieter than the original console because it simply looks much better, the slim design is better on the eye and also it is less noisy as the console does not have a fan. Instead it uses air vents to keep the console cool. It does the job to be honest because I owned the console for over 2 years and it has never crashed or overheated. ...I have heard a lot about Play Station 2 also being a DVD Player. People have however told me that this will only play Sony DVD's and will not be a normaL DVD Player. I keep reading publication on the subject but I an not getting any clearer information. Originally when the publicity info was launched is said it was also a DVD now I am unsure. Playstation 2 - Still worth a look

Advantages: Big choice of games, can be stored flat or on its side, is a DVD player
Disadvantages: Disc read error problems do happen after alot of heavy use

...in circulation in the world! there's something for everyone from shooting games to adventure games and strategy games to kids cartoon games (though I think there are more 'adult' games like GTA and shoot 'em ups than there are kids games at a guess and I would recommend Nintendo as a better make for purely young kids games)) at a reasonable price and want something thats quick and easy to install, to keep the kids quiet or to keep you and/or some friends quiet (lol) then this is for you. Slim Shady Playstation 2

...After having purchased a standard sized playstation 2 console in 2001, I decided to sell my console on ebay towards the end of 2005 when the slimline playstation 2 console was unveilled to the world. Why did I chose to sell the console that had worked for the last 4 years, for a siver slimline playstation 2? The new slimline playstation two has been reduced in size from the previous version by 75%., the weight has been halved and the and thickness trimmed down to 2.8 cm, from 7.8 cm. Equipped with an integrated Ethernet port for network gaming, the new PlayStation 2 sets new standards in the fusion of design and functionality. The slimline playstation 2 has a new flip lid instead of the motorised draw. The flid lid is a little flimsy but I suppose there was no room for a motorised draw on the slimline version.
