...The Plug is located above a block of offices right in the heart of the city centre and since opening its doors a few years ago it has established itself as one of the most popular venues in the city. It is a large club split into three different rooms; cleverly called Live, Earth and Neutral. Live is the room where most of the live bands play and there is a stage and a room large enough to accommodate around 500 people standing. The other two rooms are usually used to play different styles of music but the design of the place means that it is possible to remove the false walls and create one large room with a capacity of around 1200. I seen a few live acts here including Jarvis Cocker and Glasvegas and on both of these occasions it was just one large room rather than the three smaller ones. Gives your holes a damn good plugging.

Advantages: Eliminate most noise, comfortable.
Disadvantages: Do not eliminate Irish mothers.

Snore Calm Foam Ear Plugs

Advantages: Can be reused making them good value for money. They are comfy and work well.
Disadvantages: Do not eliminate loud noise.

A good safety product

Advantages: cheap, easy to use
Disadvantages: erm... not sure!

...The betterware socket guard is very simple to use and a very good way to keep your children's prying fingers safe for a very little price! It's different to other products on the market as instead of just slotting into the actual plug, this slots onto the entire socket so it will cover up both the plugs and the plugs inside are still usable so it's not taking up the plug space! It just comes in one standard size- the size of a general double plug socket which is 15x9 cm and is 3xcm wide so large enough to accomdate the plugs within. It is available in white, I haven't seen it in any stores or online stores in any other colour. I presume this is because the majority of sockets are white. You don't need any tools to put it onto the socket either, it's really simplea nd straight forward to clip on. I think it's a great product...

Help keep your child safe from the dangers of electricity.

Advantages: Cheap, 12 in a pack, blend in with my sisters plug sockets.

...Baby & child safety should always be the main priority in any household and this is no exception in my sister's house with 4 children under the age of 14. 12 white socket covers are available from Mothercare for £4.99 and these are available online or in store. The covers are just white plastic covers which go in to 13 amp plug sockets and help to prevent little fingers from inserting their fingers in to a plug socket and giving themselves a potentially fatal electric shock. They are very easy to use and you little just plug them in, in the same way that you would a standard plug and to remove them may take a minute or two and you simply put your finger under the left or right edge and pull them out (make sure the plug socket is turned off first). This may be a little frustrating if you are in a hurry or just an impatient person...

Keep them Safe!

...and so you should have no difficulty in placing the cover into the plug. To take them out is not difficult but sometimes it takes a while. All you have to do in theory is pull it out but because it fits so well this can sometimes be a little difficult. It certainly helps if you have nails and you can get a firm grip to pull the cover out. However, patience will help and it's not that hard. Getting them out is not difficult it just may take more than one attempt, I'm sure every parent is willing to spend that extra 5 seconds for the safety of their child. We never found a child who could get the socket covers out so they work well. When they are not in use they should be placed out of your child's reach to ensure the socket covers themselves do not become dangerous from your child putting them in their mouths. Disadvantages: none for you - but the electricity suppliers are not lining their pockets with your money

...having the clock on the microwave on uses more power a day than cooking a full meal in it. The Sky plus system get switched off but only onto standby, so it still records when you want it to. So use the standby button on your remote to turn the green light on your box to red. Even though it is on standby it is still not using as much power as when the green light is on. The electrical shower was on standby all day every day. Just pull your shower cord on or off before and after every use, it can be a pain to remember but once you get in the habit it becomes routine. If any thing has a light on it all day even when your not using it, it is wasting power and costing you money. Also if a plug feels warm it is using a lot of power. Switch your computer off at the plug after use, so your printer and screen are not left on. It does...

They are shaped just like a normal plug but they are plastic. It doesn?t do the plastic sockets any harm if the switched is turned on by accident, however when you notice this switch it off.
