...and effective with a GUI leading the user through the whole process and online driver updates are easy to find on the GeForce site with prompts and questions to define exactly what one you need. The card comes with a few adapters (DVI-VGA and a S-Video Cable) which are useful I would reccomend this card but ast the same time, there are better ones out there and faster ones for a little more money so take it into consideration....

Gaming on a budget

Advantages: Good Price, Passive cooling
Disadvantages: Struggles on some of the latest games

...PNY GeForce 6200 256MB AGP I have been running this card in my PC for the past year without a problem, I brought it initially because it was a reasonable price and was 2 generations ahead of the card I had been running a GE Force4 4200 ti 128mb, and also had twice the amount of RAM 256mb. A lot of potential buyers would dismiss this card out of hand as it would be considered a budget card and of little use to those who enjoy gaming. I would contradict them as I do enjoy gaming but can't afford a £150 - £300 graphics card in order to play the latest games with all the knobs and whistles turned on; I have however used this card to play most of the latest games, maybe not at the top in game settings but at reduced resolutions and frame rates. The rest of my rig would also not be the fasted on the market I have a 2000XP Athlon...

Transform your ageing PC

Advantages: Transforms the PCs performance, smooth running, good looking games
Disadvantages: Took a while to install, required spec on packaging doesn't match website

...on the lowest of the low settings. Unfortunately my version of Trigems' Imperial motherboard doesn't have an AGP slot so my hunt for a good quality PCI graphics card started. After a bit of Googling and a quick read of the e4allupgraders forum I came to the conclusion that PNY and NVIDIA were names to look out for. I was surprised by the lack of choice in PCI graphics cards on Dabs and Ebuyer so bought my card from an eBay shop for just over £50 delivered which was at the time the cheapest I could find. In the package was the card itself, a driver CD, a case sticker, an S-Video cable, a DVI-VGA adapter should you need one, and a very basic and universal install guide. The only strange thing about the packaging was a sticker on the outside of the box stating the minimum required specs were a 400W PSU and a P4 Prescott CPU which didn't match...

With 128MB VRAM you can go and enjoy the full range of graphic based tasks that vindows vista home premium has to offer, including the world famous windows aero. Despite being least powerful out of the PNY/Nvidia geforce GPUs the geforce 6200 has an excellent collections of APIs including: Direct X 9.0C, OpenGL2.0 and Pixal shader V3.0. These are better then the original geforce 6 graphic card. I have not decided to use the graphics card for vista. Insteed I have used it to upgrade my system to play Elder scrolls IV. ...costing £189.99 from PC World, although I am sure you could probably knock a few pounds off shopping online for it at any of the numerous retailers. The card itself is a mighty looking thing, and comes in typical GeForce packaging, displaying the name of the product, a fantasy character, and the PNY logo. Once I got my purchase home, I opened it up and found a rather basic instruction and installation guide, which just about did the job, although I was lucky as I knew what I was doing without it. The first thing to do is delete the old graphics drivers, and with the CD-ROM provided, install the new drivers. Once these are installed, then you need to open up your PC and place the card in. The card itself is an AGP 8x, so before purchase, ensure that your PC has a free AGP slot, and I would advise that you have nothing in the next PCi slot...
