PNY and nVidia do it again!

Advantages: AMAZING GRAPHICS, loads of other features like Shadow and Lighting 'add-ons'
Disadvantages: None that I have noticed!

...I bought this card for around £120 after my ATi Radeon cooked itsefl, i was expecting this card to do the same as my ATi as it was the nVidia equivalent, but boy did it surprise me!! I pluged it into my mobo (a.k.a. motherboard - for you non-sad people out there!), installed the drivers, and it worked like a dream, no problems whatsoever, all i have had to do is update the drivers. As well as being a breeze to install and set up, it is also very durable (unusual area to comment on about a graphics card!), but when my PSU (power supply) went wrong, and surged power into my system, the graphics card survived, and the CPU, mobo and RAM didnt! PNY Quadro FX 3000Good

Advantages: veyr fast, good processor speeds, beats any card on the market, 256 MB RAM

Feel the power of the GeForce

Advantages: Quality performance without breaking the bank

...Well recently my trusty old (and I do mean old) NVIDIA GeForce 5 card gave up the ghost. TO be honest it wasn't a total disaster, as I had been waiting for it to fail to give me an excuse to replace it. The graphics card was the last thing on my PC to update, and so I started the process of reading reviews, and magazines to try and find a quality replacement without breaking the bank. My search led me to the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS card. I believe that the NVIDIA cards are the market leader when it comes to graphics, and so I have always been brand loyal to them. I had the choice of 32Mb with the MX extras or a 64Mb version without. As my existing card had a paltry 8Mb (don't laugh) the 32Mb looked good enough for me and the MX features would partly replace what the Matrox could do (it had video sampling with the MX doesn't have). It's an AGP card but then again all are these days so it's nothing to get excited about. I'll be honest, my existing Matrox card was a delight but a total nightmare to install (just ask anyone who's ever tried) so the first task was to get Windows back to using the standard VGA drivers. Feel The GeForces...

Advantages: No Hardware Conflicts, Runs newish games perfectly
Disadvantages: None at the moment

...and effective with a GUI leading the user through the whole process and online driver updates are easy to find on the GeForce site with prompts and questions to define exactly what one you need. The card comes with a few adapters (DVI-VGA and a S-Video Cable) which are useful I would reccomend this card but ast the same time, there are better ones out there and faster ones for a little more money so take it into consideration....
