PocketLOOX - Pocket Heaven
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX 600 by
chriscookson
Advantages: Easy To use, Quick
Disadvantages: Expensive
...This is the thrid PDA i have had the pleasure of using and probably the best.
The PDA is extremely easy to use out of the box and combines ease of use with speed. The Windows CE operating system makes the PDA very easy to use, like most Pocket PC's, and Fujitsu have done a great job making their Pocket PC stand out from the rest.
The feature that made me purchase this product was its Bluetooth capability, which means that most electronic products in my house are now connected to my Desktop via bluetooth, heck you could even switch the kettle on from your computer.
The Pocket PC is able to play music with incredable sound quality and play video files with ease. It is advised to purchase a memory card though as the pocket PC uses about 64mb for both running and storage.
The processor is one of the fastest you can get for a pocket PC...

Great design for great tool
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX 600 by
Righar
Advantages: Size, Battery life
Disadvantages: Screen a bit dark
...I used to own an Ipaq 3630. I had so many problems with it that I took it back to the shop, and instead got myself a pocket loox.
Now that's impressive. The pocket loox is really thin and actually DOES fit in your pocket. Not that I recommend to use your "wallet pockets" it's useful to be able to leave it in your coat, and forget about it until you need it.
The screen's great as long as you don't have to use it outside. The screen is still readable but tends to be too reflective. Y'know as soon as you get a couple of finger marks on the screen you can't read it. I suppose they are plastic films you can put on the screen for that. It bothered me only a couple of times, I don't feel that it's a big issue, just be aware of it.
The pocket Loox uses the pocket pc 2002 operating system, which means : faster, better.
It's only very...

berlitz Pocket Guide
Review of Berlitz Pocket Guides - Berlitz by
belinda9
Advantages: Small but informative
Disadvantages: None
...Everytime Iam going on holiday and it's a destination I have never been to , I buy the Berlitz Pocket Guide.
Yes it really does fit into your pocket.
I have got a book on Las Vegas, California, Disneyland, Florida, Menorca/Majorca, France, Greece, the Algarve etc etc.
I found these little books very informative. They always have a detailed map on the inside cover. The first few pages are usually on the history of the destination.
There are recommends for Hotels, Restaurants, Shopping, places of interests.
On one of the pages there are handy hints for your holiday. Like for example ;
Where the airport is situated.
Bicycle Rental.
Campsites
Car Hire
Climate
Complaints
Crime and Safety
Customs and Entry Formalities
Right up to Tourist Info Offices
Youth Hostels.
Keep up the good work Berlitz.
The cost of these guides are only £4...

My World is in My Pocket
Review of HP iPAQ Pocket PC H1910 by
4ciaopaul
Advantages: Slim, compact and ease of synchronisation
Disadvantages: Lack of suitable case/sleeve
...This PDA (Pocket PC) does exactly what I wanted and does it simply.
At work my world revolves around MS Outlook, and in particular, hundreds of contact details, lots of e-mails daily, appointments and task lists.
I wanted something that would enable me to have all my appointments, contacts etc. in my pocket so that wherever and whenever, I knew what I had coming up, and had up to date contact information and access to e-mail that I had't had chance to read properly during the day.
I shopped around and the HP IPAQ Pocket PC 1910 seemed a compact, reasonably priced PDA that would give me what I wanted.
The item itself comes with a removeable / re-chargeable battery, USB synchronisation Cable (this bit makes it all easy for me!), AC adapter, stereo earpiece, charger adapter (connected to the AC Adapter). A CD is provided that contains...

Overpriced flimsy palmtop
Review of Casio Cassiopeia BE-300 Pocket Manager by
Fitz
Advantages: Pocket sized organiser
Disadvantages: UI Problems, no keyboard, no USB
...The Cassiopeia PocketPC is basically a re-hash of their old WinCE2.0 palmtop. It costs £500 from Dixons, although you are probably best getting it mail order from jungle.com or wherever.
The casing is *extremely* flimsy, and the compact flash cover is quite frankly a joke - I estimate the life span of the CF cover to be 5 minutes after somebody opens it.
The device itself looks like it would smash if dropped from 6 inches, so if you have one - get insurance!
The PocketPC interface I was not impressed with. A lot of WinCE software relies on you being able to see the 'desktop' of the machine - PocketPC hides this from the user sadly and so functionality is affected.
Synchronisation is extremely slow due to the lack of USB connection. The device connects using the ergular serial port.
Very soon Casio are going to be releasing a new...

Whiskas Chicken & Cheese Pockets
Review of Whiskas Pockets by
Arls0308
Advantages: Cats Love Them!
Disadvantages: You can easliy get carried away
...My two cats LOVE these treats, the cleverer of the two will actually hunt out the purple packet and claw it open to get to the crunchy, cheesy-ness.
The treats themselves are about 1cm long, rectangular and slightly puffed in the middle (where the cheese is). I’m not sure how many you get in a 50 gram bag, but at a stab I’d guess about 25-35, a bag costs about 70 pence, so it works out quite reasonable. The bags have a zip-lock to keep the pockets fresh, although this can sometimes refuse to close.
The pockets are chicken and cheese flavoured with vitamin B and yeast enriched to help keep their coat in a healthy shiny condition.
Although my cats love these I do have to be strong and only give them to them when they’ve been good, or not had any for a while as they are quite high in fat (15%) and my cats are on the large side. Also, my...

It's okay, I guess
Review of Nintendo Gameboy Colour by
Mortuus2k
Advantages: Nice colours, plays Game Boy games
Disadvantages: Not too comfortable, small
...Nintendo's Game Boy is the best thing ever, the Game Boy Color is the latest version. And I found it somewhat disappointing. I love the Game Boy and all its games, no doubt about it, but I prefer the Game Boy Pocket to the Game Boy Color. The Game Boy Color screen is smaller and harder to see than the Game Boy Pocket screen, although the colours are pretty good. I also found the Game Boy Pocket to be more comfortable to use and smaller. However, the Game Boy Color is a necessity to play the latest games and because it's a Game Boy, it's still great. You should buy it because it plays the latest games, but I think I'll wait for the Game Boy Advanced and use my sister's Game Boy Color until then....

HP iPAQ PC Rx3715 review
Review of HP iPAQ Pocket PC Rx3715 Mobile Media Companion by
Scottishstealth
Advantages: Lightweight, small, comfortable, good sized screen, long battery life.
Disadvantages: Sometimes the screen can lose where the pointer is, but not often.
...This is the 1st pocket pc, i've went and bought for myself, but i have used alot of others through work before. I found the set -up stage and indeed the day to day use of this model to be really easy and precise. I use it mostly as a in-car navigator , used in conjuntion with tomtom navigation software and an in-car cradle.
It has 152mb of storage built in, but this can be supplimented by use of an MMC storage card. Headphone jack, perfect for listening to mp3 or watching small films on the train. A good deal of software is also included within the package, such as:
Microsoft Pocket Word
Microsoft Pocket Excel
Microsoft Outlook
Windows Media Player
MSN Messenger
Pocket MSN
HP Photosmart
Internet Explorer
Calculator
Calendar
Solitaire
Jawbreaker
Pocket TV Pro
Aslo on the conectivity side of things, there is a great deal u can do...

Beautiful
Review of Rome in general by
bim
Advantages: Buildings, Cheap food, Friendly locals, more cheap food!
Disadvantages: pick-pockets
...This summer I went Inter-Railing around Europe, and Rome was probably my favourite place that I visited. Rome is a large capital city, and it has all the things you expect from one: History, nightlife, traffic, and pick-pockets! If you ask me the pick-pocket problem is not an issue, as all large cities have pick-pockets, and Rome wasn't as bad as other places I visited, such as Paris. The architectural history of Rome is fabulous, and I especially loved the Pantheon. I recomend that you go and see this beautiful ancient building. The nightlife is also great. The Italians don't really do nightclubs, they just go for a meal, and then go on to bars. Anyway, go to Rome, you'll have a great time!...

A Phone worth having
Review of Nokia 5210 by
pinionated
Advantages: small and light yet quite robust
Disadvantages: genuine covers are expensive. Flip piece on bottom easily broken
...I bought a second hand 5210 back in October last year. And I have not regretted it in any way!
It's a robust phone - small enough to fit in your pocket yet not so small as you may have trouble using text features.
The menu is straight forward - just like all Nokias - if you can use one, you can work any of their phones.
I like the easy change covers though the flip on the bottom which protects the charge area is prone to coming off.
A great little phone - useful for those with outdoor jobs - they are splash proof - mine has been in my pocket on many a rainy day - with no problems! Dar I say, it's small enough to tuck inside your waistband without discomfort - if you dont have a pocket handy!
Well recommended by me!...
