Pokemon Pearl

Advantages: Loads of things to do, Lots of Multiplayer Features, Wi-Fi
Disadvantages: You cant possibly catch them all,

...From game to game the pokemon series has continued to be the same story again and again except slightly different, but the strange thing it, the more games you play, the more engrossed you become in the game. Although there doesn't seem to be anything much new for the players that have played the old pokemon games, for people that haven't played them before though there is a lot to do and to discover. The overall theme of this game is to find and capture over 150 different types of battling monsters and then fight against other trainers until you become the champion of the region. But this is just scratching the surface, with over 150 before you complete the main story and over 450 after you complete it there is little chance that you will complete it no matter how much of your time you dedicate to it. Pokemon Platinum - Platinum Quality

Advantages: Great graphics and longevity. Online capabilities are excelent. A very fun game.
Disadvantages: Battling gets monotonous after a while; Not worth getting if you have Diamond/Pearl already

...For any fan of the pokemon series, Pokemon Platinum is an amazing and brilliant game to own. This game is the third installment to the games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl and has many more features. The storyline is similar to the other two games and to every other pokemon game which is to fight through a building filled with trainers from an evil organisation. The battles here are monotonous and not very difficult to win. This aside, the game is brilliant in terms of gameplay with many pokemon to catch and a lot of legendary pokemon to keep you busy trying to get them. Even after the game is beaten there is a lot to do, train pokemon, catch them all, battle with friends, it could never end. The graphics of this game are stunning. Does anyone understand Pokemon.

Advantages: None, as a parent, but ask a child the same question!
Disadvantages: Everything about Pokemon.

...Am I getting old, or does anyone else not understand Pokemon? What is the fascination about Pokemon and why does everyone else seem to understand this phenomena, except me! Pokemon Trading Card Game League

Advantages: Loads of fun for Pokemon/Nintendo fans

...It is no use denying it, Love them or hate them, Pokemon Trading cards are big! They have played a big part in our life this year, we have been to no less than six Trading Card League events. I have to praise these events because for Pokemon fans they are a real treat. The events are free to enter and the first thing you get is a bag of goodies just for going in. This bag contains a collectable card which is not readily available elsewhere. Once inside the kids can play card games with other players winning points on a card. Once they have enough points they get to play one of the more expert gym leaders and earn their badges. Pokemon - excellent

Advantages: Great storyline - very addictive

...I think at this stage everybody who's anybody has played Pokemon on some systems or other. But lets be honest if you have played any of them on the nintendo ds - the combination of the touch screen and gameplay is just simply fantastic. I was playing pokemon emerald gba on my ds for a while and I loved it even though I didnt have the joy of using the touch screen. But my fantastic boyfriend bought me this one as a xmas surprise and it hasnt been out of my sight since. This has different levels, new pokemon and great mini games to mess around with making this one a true diamond. GAMEPLAY The fights between pokemon are still a little annoying as the pokemon still dont move much when they are fighting. ...For anyone playing / training Pokemon on a competative level then this is the game for you. It allows you to play with your Pokemon from Diamond / Pearl / Platinum and use them online against other players around the world. Its great for training and testing out your new Pokemon that yu may of already trained up.
