Pokemon Pearl

Advantages: Loads of things to do, Lots of Multiplayer Features, Wi-Fi
Disadvantages: You cant possibly catch them all,

...from getting to your flag but not useful when you want your base to look good. Your flag is your bases prize possession, sat next to your computer (how you got a computer underground and got electricity to under the ground I'll never know) your flag can be captured by other people and taken back to their base where it will be recorded on their computer. When you have enough flag captures your flag receives an upgrade and some of the annoying rocks can be deleted and when you reach the highest flag you also gain a star on your trainer case. Fossils are the main reason for coming underground though and while you are digging for treasure with either your Pickaxe or your Hammer, sometimes you will come across one. Once it has been dug up then it can be taken to one of the cities and resurrected so you get a free pokemon without having to battle...

Diamond, the best Pokemon game yet?

Disadvantages: A lot of the the storylines have been done before

...Pokemon is a massive franchise which is popular all over the world, consisting of a tv series, series of films, collectible trading cards, collectible figurines and toys and a series of computer games. Pokemon Platinum - Platinum Quality

Advantages: Great graphics and longevity. Online capabilities are excelent. A very fun game.
Disadvantages: Battling gets monotonous after a while; Not worth getting if you have Diamond/Pearl already

...For any fan of the pokemon series, Pokemon Platinum is an amazing and brilliant game to own. This game is the third installment to the games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl and has many more features. The storyline is similar to the other two games and to every other pokemon game which is to fight through a building filled with trainers from an evil organisation. The battles here are monotonous and not very difficult to win. This aside, the game is brilliant in terms of gameplay with many pokemon to catch and a lot of legendary pokemon to keep you busy trying to get them. Even after the game is beaten there is a lot to do, train pokemon, catch them all, battle with friends, it could never end. The graphics of this game are stunning. Pokémon Platinum Shines Better Than Diamond

Advantages: None, as a parent, but ask a child the same question!

Pokemon Trading Card Game League

Advantages: Loads of fun for Pokemon/Nintendo fans
Disadvantages: Can be boring for parents

...It is no use denying it, Love them or hate them, Pokemon Trading cards are big! They have played a big part in our life this year, we have been to no less than six Trading Card League events. I have to praise these events because for Pokemon fans they are a real treat. The events are free to enter and the first thing you get is a bag of goodies just for going in. This bag contains a collectable card which is not readily available elsewhere. Once inside the kids can play card games with other players winning points on a card. Once they have enough points they get to play one of the more expert gym leaders and earn their badges. If they get fed up of playing cards then they can play on many of the nintendo systems set up, usually featuring brand new games. Pokemon - excellent

...I think at this stage everybody who's anybody has played Pokemon on some systems or other. But lets be honest if you have played any of them on the nintendo ds - the combination of the touch screen and gameplay is just simply fantastic. I was playing pokemon emerald gba on my ds for a while and I loved it even though I didnt have the joy of using the touch screen. But my fantastic boyfriend bought me this one as a xmas surprise and it hasnt been out of my sight since. This has different levels, new pokemon and great mini games to mess around with making this one a true diamond. GAMEPLAY The fights between pokemon are still a little annoying as the pokemon still dont move much when they are fighting.
