Diamond, the best Pokemon game yet?

Advantages: Hours of playability
Disadvantages: A lot of the the storylines have been done before

...stream of zubats and magikarps at times which is quite boring! There are only 150 pokemon which you will see up until you have defeated the Elite Four. Once you have seen all of these and defeated the Elite Four, over 400 different pokemon will become available! Previously, I have played other Pokemon games. The ones I've played are Red, Blue and Silver. Although there is a lot more depth to Diamond, I actually prefer the earlier games in some ways, in terms of the storylines and the range of pokemon you are able to capture from the start. You are able to build a better 'squad' right from the beginning whereas in this game it seems to take time. A lot of the storylines seem reused in this game, although you can't really change the format of the game a lot as it wouldn't really be Pokemon then. There is a lot of new stuff in the Diamond...

Pokémon Platinum Shines Better Than Diamond

Advantages: Longevity, fun, depth, better than previous installments and Diamond and Pearl
Disadvantages: I can't put it down, maybe not for those already with Diamond or Pearl

...on the newer games such as Pokémon Diamond, you can carry on playing, doing extra challenges. The last thing I'll say about Pokémon is the Pokémon Gyms. Altogether there are 8 Pokémon Gyms. The Pokémon Gyms are situated in a different town. In the Pokémon Gyms you must defeat the Gym Leader who has a reputation of being a great Pokémon trainer. In each Pokémon Gym, the Gym Leader will own and specialise one certain different type of Pokémon. After defeating the Gym Leader you will receive a Gym Badge. This lets you use a "HM" which is a move for your Pokémon but also a special power that can be used outside of battle. After you have each Gym Badge, you can battle the Elite 4 and Pokémon Champion. Pokemon meet the DS!

Advantages: Its fun and highly addictive. Also its equipped with the amazing pokemon soundtrack
Disadvantages: Some parts of the game are harder than the previous pokemon games.

...When i bought my ds all i wanted was the new pokemon. I didnt really know how good the game would be until a played it for the first time. The first point to take into consideration is the new pokemon. There are roughly 106 new pokemon in this game this includes new elvolved form of pokemon from the older games. Now onto the touch screen at the begining of the game outside of battle your touchscreen does virtually nothing in battle you can use your touchscreen to choose your pokemons attack. The one amazing feature of this game is that you can collect every pokemon that exists so far by migrating it from and old game straight to diamond. Pokemon - excellent

Advantages: Great storyline - very addictive
Disadvantages: Sometimes repetitive

...I think at this stage everybody who's anybody has played Pokemon on some systems or other. But lets be honest if you have played any of them on the nintendo ds - the combination of the touch screen and gameplay is just simply fantastic. I was playing pokemon emerald gba on my ds for a while and I loved it even though I didnt have the joy of using the touch screen. But my fantastic boyfriend bought me this one as a xmas surprise and it hasnt been out of my sight since. This has different levels, new pokemon and great mini games to mess around with making this one a true diamond. GAMEPLAY The fights between pokemon are still a little annoying as the pokemon still dont move much when they are fighting. Advantages: Keeps the best parts from the old games
Disadvantages: Too many unfamiliar Pokemon

...As a kid i did the lot, i watched the TV show, collected the cards and played Pokemon Blue on the Gameboy Colour. Now, at the age of 21, i picked up Pokemon Diamond purely out of curiosity, would it be as good as the Blue and Red games? The answer was a resounding YES! Sure there are bad things about it, but there were also bad things about the old Gameboy Colour ones. My main dislike of the new game is the fact that it is full of unfamiliar pokemon from the new TV series, but i suppose that is my fault for being out of touch. Yet that makes it all the more satisfying when you find a familiar pokemon and manage to catch it. In terms of game play everything pretty much remains the same, i suppose the phrase "if its not broke don't fix it" comes to mind. The one exception is of course the touch screen on the DS, however even so...

...I bought pokemon diamond a month ago, as an American import as it is already released there. I'll make it clear that American versions of the game are COMPLETELY compatible with the European DS consoles, including the Wi-Fi modes. The first thing that struck me when I started up the game was the difference in graphics. This game is beautiful. The view also seems to be different, but that?s hard to explain you'll have to see it for yourself. Obviously, as this game is on a completely different platform- from GBA to DS there are a lot of changes in the general game play/controls. It was the new Tamagotchi, the new light-up trainers, the yo-yo of the video game world. Over ten years, nearly a dozen movies, hundreds of TV shows, a hit trading card game, thousands of spin-off products and several generations of games later we arrive at the DS.
