...I love online poker. Have been playing since I turned 18. Was playing before hand but not online. Online is very different to live poker because you cannot see the people you are playing. People think that this will decrease the chance of winning but technically it wont, because everyone is in the same boat. The main rules of 'Texas hold em' is to make the best possible hand out of the 2 hole cards you are dealt and the 5 community cards in the middle. Advantages: Fun, mulitiplayer game, cheap to buy
Disadvantages: can lead to high risk games, but generally no disadvantages

...I don’t know about you but Poker just seems to have rocketed in popularity in the last year and months. I’m not sure if it is to do with the rise of online gaming or if poker has always been so popular, but it seems to everywhere at the moment. I guess this isn’t the 70’s, 80’s or 90’s but the naughty's and many things sort off taboo are now more widely acceptable. Advantages: Easy to play- you only need a pack of cards; good fun; a bit different from usual.
Disadvantages: Can be serious & complicated; doubts over effect of gambling on society; doesn't really raise your blood pressure.
