GOOD POLAROID PICTURES - BUT WHERE'S THE CAMERA?

Advantages: Good clear picture; very large screen; easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with a faulty screen

I must admit that I had never, up to that point, been aware that Polaroid manufactured televisions, and to this day, I have still not found the slot underneath where the photo comes out! ***Setting Up*** = Before setting the television up, we had to contemplate getting it out of the car. This is a big baby; a VERY BIG baby! However, once we had managed to manoeuvre it into the house and remove all the packaging, setting it up was extremely easy. Firstly, all the obvious procedures need to be carried out such as attaching the power cord, aerial, scart leads where appropriate, satellite cables etc. to the set. Before going any further, remember to plug it in! In order to set it up completely, you need to remember to put the two AAA batteries into the remote control...

A poor poor offering from Polaroid

Advantages: Easy snaps
Disadvantages: Poor images, poor battery life, poor screen size

...I know Digital cameras have moved on quite a bit and to say I have had a few might be an understatement but as well as telling you about the good, I also feel I should tell you about the bad. So Im going to turn the clocks back to 4 years ago to mention the cheap and not so cheerful offering from Polaroid. The PDC 4350. REASONS I PURCHASED I bought the camera (or rather my mum did) because I needed a camera that could do the following: Store images on SD cards to fit in the card reader in my laptop at the time. Have at least 4 Megapixels (as anything less looked very grainy) An optical zoom lense. A colour preview screen. So after scouring the various high street shops and other outlets, I found Argos offering this camera at nearly half price. £169.99 to £89.99 With this bargain in mind and seeing that it met my minimum...

  Polaroid PDC 3035.......My First Digi Experience!

Advantages: A good first camera, good sound quality, average photo quality.
Disadvantages: Flash isn't great, not great for darker photos, colours not true.

I received this camera as a present from my then partner for my Christmas all the way back in 2003. I know that he paid around £100 for it, and this was a reasonable price back then. He bought mine from the now extinct Index catalogue store, but on doing some research I've found it difficult to see any brand new cameras for sale in UK, There are however still a few for sale on Amazon and Ebay, but bear in mind these will be second hand usually. The cheapest I've seen is on Amazon second hand for £25.Which is not bad if it is in good condition...

Polaroid... As good as the cameras

...The Polaroid FLU-3232 is a fantastic purchase. I was looking for a top quality HD 32" flat screen television for around £300 and I stumbled across this. In my opinion, it is a fantastic buy. As I mainly use my televisions for gaming I wanted a good quality television to astound my friends. And this is great for doing so. It isn't the best looking television in the world for a 32" HD ready LCD TV but it certainly does the job when it comes to it. Polaroid PDC 3035

Advantages: Really light, fairly good image quality.
Disadvantages: Not so good for shooting indoors, and quite a big camera.

...This is the Polaroid PDC 3035 digital camera, its a basic point and shoot digital camera with a built in flash and a 3.2 mega pixel image resolution. Also has video recording with sound and 1.5 inch LCD screen on the back and has a SM memory card slot, also with a USB cable to plug it up to your PC and is powered by 4 x AA batteries. This camera has quite a fair image quality when shooting outside but shooting indoors, the image comes out sometimes very dark or completely black. The other thing that i didnt like about this camera is that it is quite a big camera but very light. Even though this camera has its bad points I have to say that I took alot of good pictures with it and had alot of fun while doing it....

...days), will be aware that one of the benefits is that you can continue watching one channel, whilst browsing the program listings for other channels so you dont have to flick up, channel by channel to see whats on. This TV doesnt have that BASIC feature - if you want to know whats on other channels, the only way to find out is to actually flick from between them. Its VERY slow and anoying. The Polaroid TLU-01941 CU also seems to have poor receptive qualities. Ive never any reception problems at all in my home - strong signals for every channel, even channel 5! This TV struggles though - it took almost half an hour of messing around to even get ITV and Channel 4, and even then they were constantly breaking up. Yet another drawback is that whenever you turn the TV off for a few hours, then turn it back on, it has crashed. The only way...

polaroid 600 how fun!?

Advantages: the photos are of a good size and quailty and are instant!
Disadvantages: you cant take very close up photos, and you do look kind of silly holding it!

...i think that polaroid cameras are really fun to use, okay, they may be huge and you may look slightly strange pulling it out of you bag to snap a pic, but its so much fun taking them that you just dont care. -hey they aren't big they are just retro!!- i recently took my polaroid camera with me on holiday with all my friends and we had such a fun time taking photos as you can use the camera almost any where!Its really great at partys aswel because you can take embarrasing pictures of people and pin them up for every one to see! I was really suprised at the good quality of the pictures produced and it is so easy to use, that almost anyone can snap a pic! The films may be slightly expensive but to take on holiday it is ideal especially abroud as you dont need to wait weeks for the developing and you get the photos instantly to share...

Advantages: Big and chunky(good for children) and instant pictures

...The polaroid P camera, I thought was pretty fun, although it was a bit big and chunky, this could be an advantage, say if you were buying it for a child. I liked the fact that it gives instant pictures. The main problem with this camera is not the price of the actual camera. The price is fairly resonable, but the price of the film however is not. The film can cost up £12 for 10 photos, working out at £1.20 a photo. You know those pictures you take where the person moves, blinks or doesn't smile?? It's all very well having the odd one of these on a normal camera, but on a polaroid you would be losing a lot of money!...

Polaroid FLU-2632 26" LCD

Advantages: Cheap, Easy To use, great picture quality
Disadvantages: Sound not as good as some others

...It has taken me some time to move up to a HD LCD TV, and did a considerable amount of research on the subject. The one thing that sold me on the Polaroid was seeing it side by side with a 26" Samsung LCD in Currys. I made the sales person show me the same picture on both displays from a variety of sources, HD DVD, Digital TV and Analogue TV. I was really hard pushed to tell any difference, and the only thing I liked about the samsung was the frame, which hardly justified spending an extra £200... All in all, it has a great selection of inputs, an easy to use remote, fantastic picture quality (I have Sky+ plugged into it via scart, a games console, DVD player and Media Centre PC) and its not a bad looking piece of furniture. Polaroid - Polarubbish or a decent camera

Advantages: serial xconnection for older computers, good battery life

Another downside is that images are saved as BMP files (probably because Jpegs would have been unuseable with the lost detail) and ahgain if you're too lazy to re-save them as Jpegs your hard drive will bloat up, as an 800x600 pixel jpeg image will top out at no more than 200 kb in size, whereas these babies average around 320 kb each. Download times are not too ba for serial transfer, but as there's no usb todays users will find it slow. The drver software is an integrated browser and worked faultlessly. You need the driver to delete as I mentioned earlier as you can't delete on cam. Really, this is the easiest Ddigicam you'll ever use, but its an old model, so its really only suited to those with older win 95 pc's.
