Polaroid PoGo - instant photography for the 21st Century?
Advantages: portable, good print quality, works well with most modern phones/cameras
Disadvantages: Zink paper hard to find on High Street, sticky-backed paper has poor adhesion on some surfaces
...I have two PoGo printers - black ones, purchased from Misco online in September 2009 for £20 each. The printers work well with Sony Ericsson K800i/K750i mobile phones and modern Canon and Panasonic digital cameras via Bluetooth/USB, as appropriate for each device. PoGo's print quality is very acceptable, though obviously not as good as prints from an inkjet printer. Then again, with PoGo you don't have to worry about replacing cartridges. And PoGo is very portable.
However, the special PoGo ZINK paper is hard to find. It's unlikely you'll see it on the High Street. As I did, you'll probably have to buy online. Also - paper pricing is very variable. Shop around for the best deals. The cheapest price per print I've achieved is around 18p. In addition, the paper is not good at sticking to some hard surfaces. It tends to peel after a while...

Polaroid PDC 3030 Digital Camera
Advantages: Cheap, Good specifications
Disadvantages: Not Readily Available
...understand, but simply because the English version is difficult to find. The instructions are just one large sheet which is printed on both sides and because they're quite in depth, there's a lot of writing, and in numerous languages. Even the diagrams are multi lingual, although to be fair to Polaroid, English is the first language used.
When you find the English version they are comprehensive and cover things like how to insert the batteries, the smart card, how to scroll through the various menus, how to connect to the computer including how to load the software and of course how to use the camera. NOTE: The instructions do not make it clear which USB system the camera is compatible with. For those that don't know there are two USB systems in use now. The older USB 1.1 is being phased out by the newer, faster USB 2.2. USB 2.2 will operate...

GOOD POLAROID PICTURES - BUT WHERE'S THE CAMERA?
Advantages: Good clear picture; very large screen; easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with a faulty screen
...stylish and very large Polaroid Definia 37" model. I must admit that I had never, up to that point, been aware that Polaroid manufactured televisions, and to this day, I have still not found the slot underneath where the photo comes out!
***Setting Up***
=
Before setting the television up, we had to contemplate getting it out of the car. This is a big baby; a VERY BIG baby! However, once we had managed to manoeuvre it into the house and remove all the packaging, setting it up was extremely easy.
Firstly, all the obvious procedures need to be carried out such as attaching the power cord, aerial, scart leads where appropriate, satellite cables etc. to the set. Before going any further, remember to plug it in! In order to set it up completely, you need to remember to put the two AAA batteries into the remote control...

Old Camera, Instant High Quality Print-Outs
Advantages: Instant high-quality print-outs, No charging of camera
Disadvantages: Will get blurry results with slight movements, out-of-date/fashion
...the picture frame. The flash is only seen as a disadvantage if you have to stand further away than the recommended flash light limit when taking a photo. The only possible solution to this would be to take photos of a number of people in the day time rather than at night.
With pictures being produced instantly, Polaroid cameras require different film to all other types of camera. The Polaroid 1200I gets its name from the size and type of film it uses. The type of film it uses is known as spectra and comes in a size of 3.6 x 2.9 inches, which in millimeters (mm) is 900 x 725. The film consists of tiny crystals, which are produced by a range of chemicals. The crystals are aligned in rows with electromagnetic fields, making them dichroic. Dichroic is simply the term given to the aligned crystals, and refers to the polarization of each crystal...

Go with Polaroid PoGO
Advantages: Mostly
Disadvantages: Printing time
...at the technology. The technology of PoGo for instance doesn?t differ much to that used in the original Polaroid instant cameras only that the printer is a separate entity plus no shaking is required to the output for the image to appear. It doest the job of printing using Zink, an inkless technology:
WHAT IS ZINK:
Edwin Land was an American physicist and an inventor. He revolutionized photography or more specifically photo printing by single step process for developing and printing photographs-what he called instant photography. Before Zink technology there was succeful efforts if instant print but mostly it was a low quality, black and white app.
But with Zink Technology it?s possible to do a full-color single pass direct thermal printing. But this process in a sense uses 1) the invention of special dye crystals 2) the physics of controlling time...

Digital Camera - Polaroid PDC 3030
Advantages: small and compact, good quality pictures
Disadvantages: bleeping
...*Found you!*
I had been looking for a good digital camera for ages, and then i saw the polaroid pdc 3030. It was cheap, small and good quality, so i decided to buy it from argos.
Argos was doing a great deal:
The camera, a small pouch for the camera, and a 64mb memory card for just under £100. So overall it saved me quite alot.
*When it arrived!*
I opened the box it had came in, and looked to see that it come with 4 AAA batteries, a pad of instructions, a software cd, a wrist strap and a USB cable.
I then followed the instructions, and attached the wrist strap to the camera, and installed the software on my computer (windoes 98).
The USB socket was covered by some rubber, that protected it.
Near the microphone on the camera, there is a small socket. When you open it up, there is a small picture that shows which way round to...

Polaroid... As good as the cameras
Advantages: Great crisp picture; easy set up and go
Disadvantages: Sound could be better; Problems in later use
...The Polaroid FLU-3232 is a fantastic purchase. I was looking for a top quality HD 32" flat screen television for around £300 and I stumbled across this. In my opinion, it is a fantastic buy. As I mainly use my televisions for gaming I wanted a good quality television to astound my friends. And this is great for doing so. It isn't the best looking television in the world for a 32" HD ready LCD TV but it certainly does the job when it comes to it.
It was fairly easy to set up and get going, as all I needed was a mate of mine to help me screw the stand into the actual television. I managed to tune the television fairly quickly and name each of the channels with ease. I purchased a component cable to get the full best look potential out of my Wii which really made the games come to life.
The Television has 2 HDMI ports and a "Computer...

Polaroid - Polarubbish or a decent camera
Advantages: serial xconnection for older computers, good battery life
Disadvantages: no flash, bad picture quality, cheaply made,
...usb then take a trip to Max Spielmann's and pick up a Jam cam 3.0 with both serial and usb connectors and leads (great if you upgrade computers later and you get a proper full usb lead you can use with printers or scanners), flash and a n easy to use menu which takes up to 640 x 48 pixels, for only £30.00.
As a footnote, Polaroid digital cameras in the U Karen't made for or distributed by by Polaroid,
but by a World Wide Licenses, the company who makes Cool I cam.
So the Polaroid 320 is a total beginners camera. Treat it as that and you'll be happy, I think. Expect more and you'll be dissapointed. And yes, once yiou've (and very soon I may add as you'll get the bug for digital cos you'll never develop again, but will want something beter)the kids will have a new toy to play with....

**polaroid 600 camera, easy to use fun camera!!**
Advantages: takes clear photos at a push of a button!
Disadvantages: It's not very attractive...
...no way uncomfortable, it's bulk makes it nostalgic.
It is very basic and very easy to use. It's the sort we use for family picnics were, we are all running around taking snaps of everything. These snaps are great because they are different from your average pictures, they have a white rim, and look great in a scrap book.
One of the other drawbacks is the fact that you can't take pictures closer than 2 feet (like all polaroid cameras). The lens of the camera also makes objects closer to the camera larger in proportion to objects farther from the cameraon the prints but it's not incredibly noticable. Overall, I enjoy it very much and would happily recommend it for anyone. It does take decent quality fun photos....

A poor poor offering from Polaroid
Advantages: Easy snaps
Disadvantages: Poor images, poor battery life, poor screen size
...I know Digital cameras have moved on quite a bit and to say I have had a few might be an understatement but as well as telling you about the good, I also feel I should tell you about the bad.
So Im going to turn the clocks back to 4 years ago to mention the cheap and not so cheerful offering from Polaroid. The PDC 4350.
REASONS I PURCHASED
I bought the camera (or rather my mum did) because I needed a camera that could do the following:
Store images on SD cards to fit in the card reader in my laptop at the time.
Have at least 4 Megapixels (as anything less looked very grainy)
An optical zoom lense.
A colour preview screen.
So after scouring the various high street shops and other outlets, I found Argos offering this camera at nearly half price. £169.99 to £89.99
With this bargain in mind and seeing that it met my minimum...
