...I was looking for a simple, cheap digital camera for both home and business use. I'm self employed and on occasion I need to take a client's photograph to insert in a document. After much deliberating, enter the Polaroid PDC 3030 digital camera. How Much And From Where? ++++++++++++++++++++++ I bought the camera, 64 MB smart card and a leather carrying case for £99.97 from Argos where the camera alone is £79.99. All in all this deal saved me £20. I searched the internet today and couldn't find this model at any other suppliers. ...*Found you!* I had been looking for a good digital camera for ages, and then i saw the polaroid pdc 3030. It was cheap, small and good quality, so i decided to buy it from argos. Argos was doing a great deal: The camera, a small pouch for the camera, and a 64mb memory card for just under £100. So overall it saved me quite alot. *When it arrived!* I opened the box it had came in, and looked to see that it come with 4 AAA batteries, a pad of instructions, a software cd, a wrist strap and a USB cable. GOOD POLAROID PICTURES - BUT WHERE'S THE CAMERA?

I must admit that I had never, up to that point, been aware that Polaroid manufactured televisions, and to this day, I have still not found the slot underneath where the photo comes out! ***Setting Up*** = Before setting the television up, we had to contemplate getting it out of the car. This is a big baby; a VERY BIG baby! However, once we had managed to manoeuvre it into the house and remove all the packaging, setting it up was extremely easy. Firstly, all the obvious procedures need to be carried out such as attaching the power cord, aerial, scart leads where appropriate, satellite cables etc. to the set. Before going any further, remember to plug it in! In order to set it up completely, you need to remember to put the two AAA batteries into the remote control...

Canon IXUS 95 IS: The best amateur digital camera on the market

Advantages: Very high quality pictures for both print and web work.
Disadvantages: The bundled software that comes with it has a very Fisherprice feel about it.

...After reading many reviews on Amazon and amateur camera sites about the different types of hobbyist level digital cameras, I decided to buy one of these. The camera itself has a metal casing and so has a sleek feel and look to it. It's very light weight and compact making it very easy to carry around in a handbag or while, (and most importantly) taking pictures! I found that it took only 5 - 10 minutes to get the camera working from out of the box. It was so simple, I didn't take that much notice of the manual. When starting up the camera, it isn't slow like they digital cameras of yesteryear. Its ability to capture anything in an instant is one of it's many advantages. ...I bought this camera from marks and spencers for £279.99. This camera is great due to all the features that it has. It has a great 12x optical zoom, which even at 9x or 10x zoom, the pictures look quite clear and well taken photos. It has a good image stabilisation feature which allows you to take photos even if the object of person is moving very fast. Its battery life is quite good compared to most ordinary cameras which allows you to take 250 photos on average. It is a 10.1 megapixel camera which has a very high number of pixels for each picture, and I can say this is definitely so when I upload my pictures onto my laptop as the pictures are VERY clear and they still look good when zoomed in by half the size of the picture....

POLAROID PDC3030

Advantages: Small and compact, cheap
Disadvantages: dating doesn't always work!

...I bought this back in March/April 2004 and got good value, as I bought it for £80.00 plus I paid an extra £20.00 and got the case and memory card. It takes very good pictures compared to the compact digital camera I used to have, and considering it is only 3.2 megapixels. I have recently been experimenting with flash and different sized images and am impressed, but just want problem just lately it has been sticking at the incorrect date for some reason, I'm sure it's easy to rectify just by changing the date each time but other than that no problems. On a few occasions I have used it as a mini video camera for my daughters' school plays/harvest festivals, etc and the quality is very good for a small camera. I would recommend it as a starter camera, but the image quality can suffer a little bit when taking bigger images...

It is also very easy to link up to your stereo or surround sound system with all the necessary ports included at the back of the product. The television itself takes a while to brighten up when it is first switched on just as any other LCD TV, and when it has been on a while, the colour is still as good as before. The only bad point about the television in my opinion is the sound. The television has a built in equaliser which is handy, but doesn't make a difference on its own; Best to hook it up to a set of stereo speakers or surround sound system. Polaroid - Polarubbish or a decent camera

Advantages: serial xconnection for older computers, good battery life
Disadvantages: no flash, bad picture quality, cheaply made,

...usb then take a trip to Max Spielmann's and pick up a Jam cam 3.0 with both serial and usb connectors and leads (great if you upgrade computers later and you get a proper full usb lead you can use with printers or scanners), flash and a n easy to use menu which takes up to 640 x 48 pixels, for only £30.00. As a footnote, Polaroid digital cameras in the U Karen't made for or distributed by by Polaroid, but by a World Wide Licenses, the company who makes Cool I cam. So the Polaroid 320 is a total beginners camera. Treat it as that and you'll be happy, I think. Expect more and you'll be dissapointed. And yes, once yiou've (and very soon I may add as you'll get the bug for digital cos you'll never develop again, but will want something beter)the kids will have a new toy to play with....
