The Harbour holds 5 main islands the largest Brownsea Island, home of red squirrels and the Birthplace of the first ever scout camp founded by Baden Powell way back in 1907. Coolest Pool

Advantages: Great graphics and gameplay, Internet rooms for online gaming

...II wouldn't classify myself as a game freak, but I do occasionally like to play online games. One of which is Cool Pool. This game is published by Sierra and can without doubt boast to be the best Pool game. There are many game variations available through the menu system and most are playable online too. Installation is very easy once the file is downloaded ( see later ). On initial boot up this game has a rather catchy tile page. ...I have been to Center Parcs several times but hadn't been for a while and since my last visit it has altered a little but still just as much fun as I remembered it to be. I thought I should review it as people who have never been are always asking me what it's like and whether it's worth it. The basic idea of Center Parcs is to have an active holiday where you try things you may never usually get round to doing without having to go far. All of the attractions are very close together so you don't have to spend all day travelling from one to the next and so you can really soak up the family fun atmosphere. Center parcs

Advantages: Great holiday parcs for all the family
Disadvantages: Reliancy on the british weather!

...around £400 and to be honest I was panicing that the holiday would not be worth it - well it was brilliant...we then were told that if you book a second holiday starting anytime within the year, but book within 7 days of the first holiday ending you might be entitled to a discount - also it is worth checking the center parcs website for last minute discounts (oasis winfell often offers 50% off). This year we have saved over £180 off the brochure price which is fantastic! When your at the parc there is really no need to book loads of activities, the pool is fabulous, so its upto you how much you spend....

There are four sites in GB Elvedon Sherwood Forest Longleat and Oasis in the Lake District. There are also villages in France Holland and Belgium. Elvedon is the village that we return to again and again having visited twice a year for the last eight years. Elvedon village is set in 400 acres of Thetford forest near Brandon in Suffolk.   Center Parcs - Family Fun in the Forest!

Advantages: Great family holiday, perfect for kids, lovely natural setting, plenty to do
Disadvantages: Lodges can be shabby, you will wear yourself out with all the activity!

...on a Monday or Friday for this reason, although the ones that are do offer a discount, so check the brochures you are sent carefully before you go. Many people go swimming on a Monday whilst waiting for check-in to open, and as this is a free activity and very popular the pool can get quite busy. I would say that eating out on a Monday is probably not the best idea because a lot of people are looking around getting their bearings and are too tired to cook and for this reason the restaurants can get busy. Although there are various 'Time-out' clubs with activities to keep the kids organised, we never found time to use these, although I noted queues early in the morning to get in, so they are obviously quite popular. If you fancy taking your kids riding, Whinfell Forest is the only Center Parcs where you can do this. We planned on going...

...Center Parcs - Longleat Taking a young family on holiday is a tricky business with a completely different set of requirements than when going away as a couple. Not least among these is the amount of baby paraphernalia that you need to take. When our youngest was about ten months we took her to New England and managed to get everything into a couple of suitcases and carry on luggage plus a pushchair but now we have two the amount of extra baggage seems to have more than just doubled and unless the destination is particularly child friendly the need for travel cots, gates etc makes the holiday load a bit much for airline travel. Center Parcs - 2 adults and 2 new tracksuits!

Advantages: lots of fun, encourages you to be active and try new things

Pool hits the Nintendo DS - Actua Pool

Advantages: Fun to play for a while
Disadvantages: Limited options, not enough variety

...This review is for the Nintendo DS game, Actua Pool, developed by Zoo Digital Publishing and published by Atari. As the title suggests, Actual Pool is a product based on the sport of the same name, giving you the opportunity as they say to be "the King of the Cue". Although you can play one-off matches, the best way to start this game is by chosing a character to play from (although these all appear to be the same with no obvious difference in their attributes) and then by working through the championships. In each of the championships you play just one frame in each match, and there are only a few matches in each tournament. As you win each of the tournaments you obtain prize money, which you can then use to enter other tournaments. However, this is a rather disappointing feature, as you may as well just remove this prize money...
