...I purchased my Carrera Banshee from Halfords on-line, the bike was priced at WAS £579.99 but being a bike coming to be replaced you can save £145.00. When I ordered mine there was a further 10% of online orders so I ended up with a brilliant bike worth £579.99 for £365.00. Although I was sent a 19 inch bike instead of the 20 inch I ordered apparently this is a mistake on the website. So if you order there is no actual difference being a suspension bike. ...I have had two 944s over the past few years. This little review is to forewarn any prospective 944 buyers as to what they might be getting into. I loved these cars. They are fun to drive and somewhat entertaining to work on. If you don't know anything about auto repair or don't want to learn you better have a very good paying job or a sugar daddy. These cars are not cheap to maintain. If you plan on letting a Porsche Shop take care of your maintenance you better just buy a new car. Labor rates on these cars are extremely high and Porsche OEM parts are out of sight. If you are thinking of buying a 944 you definitely want some documented maintenance history on the car. These models have rubber timing belts and have Zero valve clearance. This means if you break a timing belt the pistons crash into the valves virtually destroying...

Carrera Gryphon - good value for money road bike

Advantages: Value for money, light

...I purchased a Carrera gryphon through a Cycle to Work scheme and as such it ended up as very good value for money. From a ticket price of £399 there was already 20% off this model so with the Tax benefits of the C2W scheme this bike cost me c. £180. After some initial niggles with the bike primarily due to set up at the shop I have been very pleased with this bike - it makes my 12.5 mile ride to work seem relatively effortless. It has a good ratio of gears, 18 in total, split 2 front gears / 9 rear gears and the gear shifts are pretty good although occasionally the front gear doesn't change up as smoothly as I would like. The disc brakes work very well in all weathers adn the bike is extremely light which certainly helps with the commute. The one thing that I would recommend changing on the bike is the pedals - the bike comes...

Carrera Vulacn '07 Mountain Bike

...I bought my Carrera Vulcan after many weeks of extensive research on mountain bikes.My model was bought back in december 2007,so a late '07 model. Firstly it looks stunning.sparkling red frame followed by matte black wheels,set off with front and back disc brakes. Featuring fully adjustable nad also very imposng front suspension,SRAM trigger flick gears and luxurious leather racing seta which is actually very comfortable on long rides I have owned my Carrera now for a year and a half and the only reparations have been for natural wear and tear such as tyres and innertubes etc. I have been extremely impressed with my carrera and hope to still be impressed by it in a few years time! I highly recommend buying any Carrera mountain bike!...

VW & Audi approached Porsche to design them a sports car - porsche duely did so and VW / Audi decided they couldnt afford to build it and sold the manufacturing rights back to Porsche who developed it into the 924. The car has many VW/Audi bits on it but this is no bad thing - an example being that porsche electric window switch is around £90 and a VW part is around £15. These costs make quite a bit of difference...

The Turbo Rides again

...Of the 3 Porsches I have driven, this has to be the most mad. The reason being that it is not only quick, but it has that extra power under your right foot when you give it a little squirt. When a acar has a turbo on board, it makes such a difference at mid range speed, as the Turbo cuts in. The problem is its not initially quick because of Turbo lag. This is basically non existent in the Porsche. Its just pure power from the outset. This is because its a twin turbo with varying rates of cut in. This beast really throws you in your seat. The Body is a standard Porsche body with a "Whale Tail" spoiler on the back that ensures the rear wheels stay where they should under speeds.
