There is a very wide range of games you can play on the PSP, and these mainly consist of previous PlayStation 2 games such as Grand Theft Auto Vice City and other classic games. ...The PSP was brought as a birthday present, I?m not an Avid gamer and didn?t really intend to become one, So it was without much enthusiasm I opened the box. I was soon gripped though on playing with the buttons and the games that came with it, Pretty soon the PSP never left my hands, I found it easy to use and all the functions were simple, even for someone as simple as me. The battery life on my PSP was fantastic and it kept me entertained for many hours on long journeys, I found the DVD Quality to be good although the DVDs themselves can be slightly pricey. I owned the PSP For 2 weeks before I found any problems with it, I was in the middle of a standard game, and it stopped working, It came up with an error saying the Disc could not be read. Nothing worked to fix it, It hadn?t been dropped or anything - I was mighty disappointed...

Brilliant portable DVD player

I happily chose the Shinco 1731A portable DVD player for the following reasons 1) The seven inch model was small, easily portable but the colour ActiveMatrix TFT screen didn't seem too small when watching films on the train. When watching a UMD video on the PSP the quality is excellent and plays just as if it is on TV so it is well worth getting if you dont play games and you just want a small screen to watch your favourite films on, just like a portable DVD player. ...The Sony PSP was revolutionary when it was first released, it holds music, videos, images and allows internet access whereever a valid internet connection is available. The screen is a good size for handheld games console (4.3 inches) and has a processor speed of 333 MHz.. It was released in 2005 and therefore has dramatically decreased in price since then (consoles always depreciate in value due to the improvements and advancements in technology) and can now be bought for as cheap as £35. ...I love my PSP, but I'm still playing games I bought 2 or 3 years ago for my original PSP-1000. For a new user, especially, the lack of new games is enough to make anyone worry about investing in one. The 4.3-inch LCD wide screen remains, and it's been tweaked. Sony says the new screen now delivers better color reproduction, reduced glare, and reduced "ghosting" on high-motion scenes. When compared with the 2000, the PSP 3000 does, indeed, deliver better color vibrancy (you can toggle between "wide" and "standard" color in the options to see the difference). As for glare reduction: we didn't find there to be a huge difference. Don't expect to play in direct sunlight, for instance. But you might have better luck with fewer distractions from indoor light sources....

...the older one had as well, so you can increase the memory on it which you really need to do anyway for saving game data or if you want to download anything onto it like music as they only come with a 32mb memory card. My son uses a 512mb sd card which i think is enough for now, i actually used an old memory card from an old sony ericsson phone i had, so saved a bit of cash there. The games available for it are good and there is a wide choice availale for the kids as well as adults for when dad wants a shot!, so are the movies. The picture and sound quality of it really are quite good for such a small console, it can almost double as a small portable dvd player, although it obviously doesn't play dvd's, the films available for it as umd are quite reasonable priced and average about £5- £8.
