We were in Tesco and noticed this product for only £15, so I took a closer look. ...I have been debating whether to splash out on an mp3 player for quite some time now but always seemed to have something else to spend the money on so had not purchased one until now. While picking up some essentials I spotted the Technika MP-906 mp3 player which Tesco are currently retailing for £4.97 and so decided that at under £5 what the hell. I have to say it is probably the best £5 I have ever spent. For this price you don't expect much and so I was expecting a lightweight flimsy feeling piece of kit, but I couldn't have been more wrong. MP3 Player MP-906, Cheap and Cheerful

Advantages: Cheap! small, user friendly, no-one will ever want to steal it and you can replace cheaply if it breaks!
Disadvantages: No locking device, non standard headphones, obviously not hi-tech!

...Napa 256 Mb MP3 Player. This portable MP3 player seems to be only available from Currys and Dixons, or at least it was at Christmas when I bought mine. For anyone who doesn't know, an Mp3 player can be used to store digital music tracks, and then can be used to payback whenever you wish. Basically it's a new age digital personal stereo. It is really quite small for what it is. Its size is : 85mm x 35mm x 20mm. This is roughly the same size as your index and middle finger combined. Its weight is 40 grams. You need to be able to connect your Mp3 player to your PC, which is achieved by using the USB cable which is supplied in the box. A CD which has the driver for your Mp3 player is also included, but if you are running a reasonably up to date operating system such as Windows ME or higher then the driver is unnecessary...

...Ok, to start this review off as you can see by the pic it is a small usb pen mp3 player in black and silver with an LCD screen. On the front it has a play button that acts as play/pause and on/off, on the sides it has the mode button, volume control, earphones, hold button, a mic and a metal keychain attachment. The deivce is nice and light and uses 1 x AAA battery. Although the instructions do not say, if you use a 700mah battery you should get around 5hrs of play out of it. The package comes in a small card board box with a plastic interior and the parts are wrapped in a plastic bag. In the box itself you should get, the mp3 player, 1 battery, earphones, usb cable, user manual and a cd-rom for Windows98. I listen to lots of audio programs from Nightingale Connant Corporation, courses on Marketing, business and self help etc., and I like to take them out with me so that I'm not tied to the arm chair. ...Whenever I?ve had to choose a CD player like this, for me or for a present, the first thing I look at is the battery time. This is what first led me to this player, it advertises 30+ hours of CD playback and 48 hours of mp3 playback (these are for non-stop playback, with no skipping. Using the skip a lot will reduce battery time and giving it resting time between playbacks increases battery time.) Those numbers seemed pretty amazing to me from just 2AA batteries. So I bought it.... The round shape looks great and I can?t see how a CD player could get much smaller. It feels very well built, and it takes very big bumps (unusually big) to get it to skip. The remote control is useful for whenever you are carrying it around in your pocket or a bag and don?t want to have to reach into your pocket and fumble around for the buttons...

Review of Panasonic CD / MP3 player

The Godfather of all MP3 players

Advantages: Great sound quality, and amazing battery life. Not bad price either.
Disadvantages: Nothing really.

...I've had this iPod for about 6 months now as my old ipod mini broke after having it for at least 3 years. I think this iPod is the best so far. The sound quality is amazng and the battery life is much longer than ever before, i may sound a little bias, but i really do love this iPod! The battery will last for up to a week and thats with me listening to it for at least 3 hours a day, plus watching the occasional movie. The memory is also huuuuge on this one. Not as big as its boss, the 160Gb one, but still extremely large. I have over 20 movies on it and over 5,000 songs. For me, its the best MP3 player on the market by a country mile. Not at a bad price either, even though it is a lot higher than other MP3 players on the market, but this is probably because it is the best one out there! The price is a lot better than the nano...
