...I am a huge Harry Potter I watched the first film and from there I liked it so much I read the books. As much as I love the film I think you miss out on so much if you do not read the books as there is so much more detail in them that I think the film is lacking. J K Rowling is a great author and deserves all the glowing reports that she gets she has really captures this well. Harry Potter and the Prisoner is the adaptation of the third book Harry Potter. ...Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, this is the first installment of the Harry Potter films of the great series by J K Rowling, I had watched this film and then decided to read the book, I then read the rest of the books before the films and I cannot believe the bits that are missed out there is so much more description in the books than the films. But I do realize that the film would last a long time if they put all the details I, but as a film it was great, if you are not comparing it to the book. Harry Potter is played by Daniel Radcliffe a boy who lives with his aunt, uncle and cousin as his parents died when he was young and they have brought him up every since. Advantages: A nice story, interesting

...I recently signed up to one of these sites where you can get DVD's sent to you in the post. Perfect as now I don't even need to leave the home to get new DVD's to watch! This time I got send Miss Potter. I had put this on my list as I was a fan of her books as a child. My sister had the whole little box set and I loved the stories. She also lived in later life in Windermere in the Lake District, which I have spent some time at as a child as my family lives very near the Lake District. This provided some more interest for me. The film was released in 2006 and has been available on DVD for a while now. The story of Miss Potter is based around Beatrix Potter herself who is played by Renee Zellweger. ...Harry potter thinks he is just an average 11 year old boy celebrating his 11th birthday, but all changes when a giant man named Hagrid and tells harry important stuff about him, he is a wizard. His life gets more intense as he travels to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry to learn how to be a wizard. He meets his new found best friends named Ron weasley, a character who is not very brave and Hermione the intellectual friend, but all is not what it seems at Hogwarts as someone is planning to steal the precious Philosophers stone. ...FILM ONLY REVIEW. As a massive fan of the whole Harry Potter franchise, I was eagerly awaiting the release of this movie in the Summer of 2007. For several reasons, we never made it to the cinema to see this one, so had to wait for its DVD release in November. ...I would assume that most people are familiar with the name Beatrix Potter, the best selling writer of children's books, and the creator of such timeless characters as Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck, but I wonder just how people knew much about the life of the woman behind these stories before the release of this film, Miss Potter in 2006. Miss Potter was never a film that I ever had any intentions of seeing. I do recall its run at the cinema but it was never anything that I heard any feedback about and it certainly never aroused any interest in me to want to go and see it. I have however now watched the film on DVD and I was actually very surprised to find that I enjoyed it. The film begins in 1905 when Beatrix is 32 years old.
