This way people who don't know what this is will have a better understanding of what's helping supply power to there devices in there PC. Advantages: Easy to use, decent speed
Disadvantages: Not particularly reliable

...This cable comes with your iPod. It's the only way provided free with the iPod for you to recharge it. You plug it into a desktop or laptop computer and your iPod will charge via the power provided to the computer. It seemed adequate enough when I was first using it, as long as the cable works and it's not too slow there aren't many complaints you can have unless it breaks. Clearly my luck isn't too good. The cable broke after 2-3yrs, it didn't snap so initially I wasn't sure why my iPod wouldn't recharge but which is cheaper, replacing the iPod battery or buying a new cable? I wasn't too pleased to find out the price of a new cable so I decided to go with a cheap import from Hong Kong (not an iPod brand cable) which cost me only £2-3 and I've had no problems with it as of yet. I certainly wouldn't pay the £13-16 the iPod cable...

Power to the people!

Advantages: Same cable used for data transfer
Disadvantages: A little bulky

...Well you can't get very far without the power adaptor, so thought it deserved a review... The good thing about this, is it uses the same cable that connects to your PC (the firewire cable...like a standard USB cable, but much quicker) and you just plug it into the top of the adaptor, and the adaptor goes straight into the mains. Viola! It takes approx 4 hours to fully charge the iPod, however, a quick 1 hour charge will fill approx 80% of the iPods battery (100% charge = approx 8 hours playtime). Unfortunately, the cable doesn't come with the power supply, but you are supplied with one when you first purchase the iPod, but they can easily be picked up from any Apple supplier. The two prongs on the front fold away into the adaptor, so all your left with is a nice neat "box" measuring approx 1" x 2" x 2" ...and of course...

...Eternal - Power of a Woman One of my favourite girl bands from old were Eternal (this is probably showing my age a bit but oh well). They were popular before The Spice Girls, Girls Aloud etc and I think one of the reasons why they were successful was because they could actually sing and had some lovely harmonies, with beautiful voices that all worked well together. ...In my recent quest to lose weight and get fitter I've become something of a workout DVD addict! I've now worked my way through all of Davina's output, sampled Charlie Brooks and now moving onto Nell McAndrew (only for the brave!) But Davina's are so far my favourite, with her Super Body Workout topping my list, but the Power of 3 coming a close second. The Power of 3 was Davina's first DVD and is just over an hour long, moving through 3 different sections - legs, arms, and abs. It uses interval training to get the heart rate up before performing different exercises intended to tone up the muscles and lose the flab. If you've used the Super Sculpt on Super Body you'll be familiar with interval training and for me, this is a great way to work out as I hate being too out of breath. Jukebox, released in 2008 came with a sigh of relief from fans who had been waiting 8 years for the artist to re-immerge with something else to add to the collections. I dont think they were dissapointed. As a rule I dislike cover albums but this one is just as good as her old The Covers Record (2000) and really shows off her maturity and experience in the field. I like her ode to memphis blues The Greatist but this really gives us something fresh to tackle and in terms of listenability it is much fatter and more diverse making it 10 times more playable than The Greatest.
