Canon PowerShot G10 review

Advantages: autofocus, big screen, face detection, 14,7 megapixel, image processor, image stabilisation
Disadvantages: chunky, not very stylish, not as portable as other cameras

...I recently bought one of these at an expensive price. I shall explain some features and my feedback to this item below. The 14.7-megapixel G10 replaces the PowerShot G9 at the top end of the clever compact space. It's a chunky beast of a camera, as you'll see in your pictures, but still smaller than a dSLR with comparable power and flexibity. The G-series are designed to be the back-up cameras you can keep in your pocket if you don't want to bust out the dSLR, and the G10 certainly packs a lot into its relatively compact frame. The G10 includes all the whistles, bells and accordions you'd expect: optical image stabilisation, face detection and various scene and colour modes. Power of a Woman

Advantages: Great tracks, harmonies

...Eternal - Power of a Woman One of my favourite girl bands from old were Eternal (this is probably showing my age a bit but oh well). They were popular before The Spice Girls, Girls Aloud etc and I think one of the reasons why they were successful was because they could actually sing and had some lovely harmonies, with beautiful voices that all worked well together. They were also all very pretty as well so I'm sure this added to their success. Eternal were formed in 1992 and eventually ceased as a band around the year 2000. The Power of 3 compells you!

Advantages: Works the whole body, fun, well instructed,
Disadvantages: Only if you don't like Davina, legs section is HARD!

...In my recent quest to lose weight and get fitter I've become something of a workout DVD addict! I've now worked my way through all of Davina's output, sampled Charlie Brooks and now moving onto Nell McAndrew (only for the brave!) But Davina's are so far my favourite, with her Super Body Workout topping my list, but the Power of 3 coming a close second. The Power of 3 was Davina's first DVD and is just over an hour long, moving through 3 different sections - legs, arms, and abs. It uses interval training to get the heart rate up before performing different exercises intended to tone up the muscles and lose the flab. If you've used the Super Sculpt on Super Body you'll be familiar with interval training and for me, this is a great way to work out as I hate being too out of breath. Advantages: Smooth,sexy, husky vocals whisper breathing new life into old classics.Has a live concert feel.
Disadvantages: I hate cover albums but I LOVE this one.Reserve your judgement.

...If anyone can breath new life and cool into covering songs its Chan Marshall of Cat Power! Jukebox, released in 2008 came with a sigh of relief from fans who had been waiting 8 years for the artist to re-immerge with something else to add to the collections. I dont think they were dissapointed. As a rule I dislike cover albums but this one is just as good as her old The Covers Record (2000) and really shows off her maturity and experience in the field. I like her ode to memphis blues The Greatist but this really gives us something fresh to tackle and in terms of listenability it is much fatter and more diverse making it 10 times more playable than The Greatest. Raw Power

Advantages: Rock, Roll and Revel in Cat Power's stunning vocals

...Cat Power, or more correctly: Chan Mashall, harkens from Atlanta Georgia and it doesn?t take more than the very first moments of Myra Lee to recognise that she could come from no where else other than one of the southern states of the USofA. The album sounds pretty lo-fi, not tinny or flat but it appears that it was recorded almost entirely in a rehearsal space in New York. No fancy recording studio. The effect works to the benefit of the listener. The opening track, Enough, slowly builds in volume and you feel like you could easily be in some subterranean venue, listening to some late night rock and roll. ...Canon PowerShot A550 I have had my digital camera for about three months now, it was bought as a present for me and costs around £100 - £80 depending on where you buy it, on Amazon you can pay £74 now, so the prices vary.
