A Great DIGITAL Pregnancy Test!

...I started out buying just the standard Clearblue Pregnancy Test. I brought this one initially as it was cheaper than some of the others (£10 for 2 test sticks). Anyway I was 7 days late but suspected before this that I may be pregnant but wasn't too sure how long you are supposed to wait before you can do the test. When I read the box I found out I could of actually done the test on the first day my period was due, so I didn't actually need to wait this long at all. I had never taken a pregnancy test before but was very pleased to find that there were very clear instructions on the reverse of the packaging. The clear instructions were in 3 steps. Boots pregnancy test - very quick & accurate

...These modern tests are done in exactly the same way as it would be if you'd had gone to your doctors - except now you can do it in the privacy of your own home and you don't have to wait weeks to find out the result! Perfect! I've never done a test until 11 weeks ago and I was so very nervous about doing a test for the first time. Especially as we'd planned a baby... just not this soon! The boots pregnancy test gave me an accurate result in just a few seconds. I actually took a second one just to be on the safe side. It too was positive, it couldn't be wrong! ...My hubby is a technology person, so finding a digital pregnancy test seemed perfect to appeal to him. It also felt more professional to me. We bought this test for the added accuracy. It also had the added bonus of being a renowned brand. The test can be bought in single, twin or triple packs. They work out much cheaper the more you buy. A second test is always necessary in case something goes wrong or you cannot believe your results. Each pack comes with a digital reader and test sticks (1, 2 or 3 depending on pack purchased). It also has a leaflet with easy to follow instructions. However, as anyone doing a test, being eager to see the results you skim through the leaflet. With this test don't. It may invalidate your test. The tests are fiddly. You have to put in the test strip, then wait for it to light up, then start...

...most pregnancy tests available on the market these days do exactly the same as each other it is just that you pay a lot more for testers that tell you in words that you are pregnant or tell you that you are so many days pregnant, this in my opinion is a total waste of money when they all do the same job which is basically testing for an increase in a hormone in your urine, after all why pay £15 for a stick you are going to piddle on and throw away when you can get a very similar stick from your chemist for around £1 for a pack of two or 3 and are the exact same ones used by the nurse at your doctors surgery. Clearblue not always so clear

Advantages: Can buy box of 2 at reasonable price, quick & easy to use
Disadvantages: Not always a clear result

There are two ways to take the test: Take the cap off the stick & pee on it (the stick) for about 5 seconds, the end of the test should turn a pink colour. or pee into a clean container of some sort & dip the stick in it (for same time) Once you have done either of these, just put the stick to one side & wait for the result. Result If there is a + in the largest window then you are pregnant if there is a - sign, then you are not, although the first test I did was a + but one of the lines was very faint so I did the second test the next day to be sure. I hear quite a few people saying this about this testing kit & some even purchase the more expensive digital test just to make sure, although you can get a test done at you GP for free if you are really unsure. Well I've been trying to get pregnant a few months, so in that time I've used the odd pregnancy test. Oh OK, I'll be honest, I've used a LOT of tests, five minutes late and I'm testing. Now the test I choose is the ClearBlue. ~~~~ The Kit ~~~~ When you buy a test you get a wrapped up testing "stick" and some instructions. You can buy twin packs which work out cheaper than single ones. Believe me you will want to test twice if you are positive (so I'm told). If the test is negative you have one left over for next time.
