Reasonable Premier Inn but right under the flight path!
Advantages: Location if you're flying from Manchester; comfortable beds, good 'pub grub'
Disadvantages: Location because of the noise
...We've stayed in lots of Premier Inns and the Manchester ones have either been for visits to the football at Old Trafford or as an overnight when flying from Manchester airport. On this occasion we were collecting two 20 year olds, very early in the morning from the aiport so decided to go over the day before, do a bit of shopping at the Trafford Centre and then get an early night before...

Cheap handy hotel
Advantages: cheap hotel
Disadvantages: food served across the carpark
...the Wilton before we didn't actually know where the Premier Inn part was but we parked the car, got out and saw the small sign pointing to the reception. I went to book in with my youngest whilst my hubby and eldest got some things out of the car. The reception area was small but so is the hotel with about 50 rooms. Booking in was easy, well; if my 3 year old hadn't been running round saying she was so...

It may be classed as a budget hotel but .............
Advantages: Location, Premier Inns - you know what you'll get
Disadvantages: Prices on match days at Old Trafford!
...We've stayed in quite a number of Premier Inns and 5 of these have been in the Manchester area - usually when we're at a football match at Old Trafford. It's rare that we can get into the two closest to the ground and even when we can, prices are so high on match days that we don't use them.
