Travel Inn for a premier Night's Sleep
Advantages: Easily navigatable website - great rooms
Disadvantages: None
...Premier Travel Inns are great if you are wanting a stop for one or two nights and we use them quite a lot.
I used this paticular Travel Inn when I was going to a family party and didn't want to travel the 60 miles back home afterwards.
PREMIER TRAVEL INNS
There have been Premier Travel Inns in this country now for over twenty years and there are now 500 hotels across Britain to choose from.
One of the advertising statements from Premier is "A good night guaranteed"
The company are so confidant in this pledge that they offer your money back if you don't enjoy a good night's sleep; we have never had to take them up on this offer!!
PRICING
It is too difficult to be precise about the cost of the rooms as they vary from Inn to Inn and depending on the days you require them.
The rates at this paticular Travel...

Not so Premier Travel Inn
Advantages: Bang in the center of Brighton, just seconds to the Lanes.
Disadvantages: It is on one of the busiest main roads in the city centre.
...Hello there. I though for my 19th review that I would diversify into something else instead of the plethora of secret agent DVD's that I've reviewed up to now, so here goes of a review into new territory?.. mobile switched off please.
For my 32nd birthday I managed to persuade my friends to come down to Brighton for the weekend to celebrate, so I booked 8 rooms for 16 of us at the Premier Travel Inn in the City Centre for two nights, at a total cost of £1040.00.
So here are some more details about the place and my personal experience of staying there for two nights.
---Location---
The Premier Travel Inn is situated on North Street; and is an office block conversion; North Street is notorious as being one of the busiest roads in Brighton as it is the main bus route for the majority of the services for the area. But...

PREMIER TRAVEL INN - OXFORD CENTRAL
Advantages: close to the city
Disadvantages: close to the traffic
...This particular Premier Travel Inn is situated on the Oxford Business Park. It is just off the A4142 on the junction with the B480 and it is opposite the Rover Works, 3 miles from Oxford city centre.
My husband originates from Wallingford near Oxford so we travel up that way occasionally to see old friends and family. We were finding it more and more difficult to find a reasonable B&B for the night. Most of them in that area are £60 upwards for a room.
BOOKING
++++++++
We booked our room online. This was very easy to do. You find the hotel that you want, then check availability. You can then choose the type of room that you want and reserve it. You only pay for the room upon arrival and it can be cancelled as close as 1pm on the day that you arrive.
You can check in after 2pm and do not need to vacate until 12pm...

Holiday Inn Seaton Burn - Newcastle Upon Tyne
Advantages: Helpful staff, good facilities, large comfy rooms
Disadvantages: A little bit far away from the city centre.
...My weekends away with the girlies always have to be cheap affairs, so we usually end up staying in some dodgy B&B on Brighton seafront or the back roads of Great Yarmouth, but when I was booking our trip to Newcastle, I stumbled upon the Holiday Inn website, and bagged us a right bargain!
The price
We booked on the Internet a standard double room, which slept up to 4 people in 2 double beds. The cost of this room per night was £54.50. Which works out to about £14.00 each per night! Cheaper than most B&B's!
When we arrived at the Holiday Inn though, the price of this room was advertised as £155.00 per room per night. We queried this, and were told that our rate was the Internet rate, and as such we saved £100.00 per night!
So please, if any of you ever need to book a Holiday Inn, do so on the Internet and save yourself...

Smooth landings
Advantages: Great price, comfortable, good food, family friendly
Disadvantages: None
...served and well cooked. Wine prices were reasonable, too.
**Arrival**
Check-in as standard is 3pm and check-out 12 noon. The process was quite smooth. I have found it advantageous with this chain and others to print off a copy of my booking confirmation and take it with me.
I had pre-booked breakfast and so I was expected to pay for the room for one night and for breakfast the following morning on arrival. Everything else is on a pay-as-you-go basis.
**What else do they offer you?**
There are meeting rooms available, but that is about it.
**What is nearby?**
The clue is certainly in the name of the hotel: Premier Travel Inn Newcastle International Airport tells you what you need to know - it is 500 yards from the arrivals door at the airport.
There is also a Newcastle-upon-Tyne Metro station more or less outside...

Good budget comfort
Advantages: Location; Price; Friendly; Comfortable
Disadvantages: Breakfast; No Papers
...When it comes to 'budget' hotels you know exactly what you want. A comfortable bed in a clean room in which to put your head on the pillow for a night. Anything else is really an added extra.
Being from Newcaslte originally, but living in Edinburgh, I travel down fairly regularly and find that staying outside the city makes it easier (and quicker) to get to. And when I'm only down for a night, with a friend, to go to a football match... Well you don\'t really need anything fancy do you?
We booked our night in the Premier Travel Inn because it's near the airport and so has a good road link to drive to it, and because it is handily located just across the road from a Metro station making it easy to get to the city centre.
Booking online I selected a twin room, with two full breakfasts, coming in at a grand total of £75...

Premier Travel Inn Southwark - London
Advantages: Excellent value, location
Disadvantages: Basic hotel
...I try to arrange a couple of days break for my husband and myself, away from the children, every Easter holiday and we like to visit London and see the sites. If you are looking for reasonably priced accommodation in central London then Premier Travel Inn is probably your best bet. I considered three - County Hall, near the London Eye; London Bridge, north side of the bridge and Southwark. I have to admit that I didn't know where Southwark was until I looked on a map and I was surprised to find out how central to everything it was, so I chose to stay here.
The Premier Travel Inn Southwark is about eight minutes walk from London Bridge Underground Station - so make sure that your luggage has wheels! I struggled but had a rest in the grounds of Southwark Cathedral at the halfway point. Doctor Who fans may remember the episode...

Premier Travel Inn - Preston East
Advantages: close to the motorway, cheap
Disadvantages: TOO close to the motorway!
...We have recently travelled up to Scotland from Devon and on the way home needed to break up the 12 hour journey. We stopped at Premier Travel Inn - Preston East.
This Travel Inn is literally right beside the southbound motorway near junction 31a northbound. We were travelling Southbound, so had to come off at junction 31, join the northbound and come off at junction 31a.
PRICE
++++++
We paid £48 for a room which is Friday to Sunday rates. Monday to Thursday would cost £51.
BOOKING
++++++++
We had an AA Road Atlas with us and also a directory of all the Premier Travel Inn's in the country. This is a very handy booklet as it has directions and location for each Travel Inn.
I telephoned the Inn and was put through to a central number as they were busy. They took a provisional booking and the Travel Inn called me...

Premier Travel Inn Dumfries, best by far
Advantages: Rooms, Cheap price, staff
Disadvantages: None
...I stayed at the Premier Travel Inn in Dumfries just over four years ago for three days and once for a night a couple of years ago.
The first time round it was on a Thursday night arrival for a long weekends partying in preparation for my wedding on the Saturday. We were getting married in a castle just up the road but felt that the Inn offered the ideal cost savings for family and friends to gather before hand and just have a darn food time.
COST
At the time I paid £39 per room. That's not bad at all for two people sharing. The Inn at that time had just under 50 rooms and was located just of the main roundabout as you enter Dumfries just of the A75. It offered closeness to Dumfries town centre whilst being 20 odd minutes from the main motorway to the north and south of the country. I think Carlisle is about 30 miles down the road...
