...I have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend. The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home. The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep. We opted for the breakfast deal and we were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and warm there was also plenty of choice. Access to the hotel was excellent for both able bodied and non-able bodied people, we didn't have a wheelchair but we did have a six month old baby and a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from...

A Taste Of Asia

Advantages: Great food, great staff and service, very clean, sticky rice to die for
Disadvantages: no kids menu a little priceier than your average curry house

...I've never tried writing and review on a restaurant before but Asia Lounge is one of my favourite places to eat so I thought I'd give it a go and hope I do it some justice. What Is the Asia Lounge Asia Lounge is the newest restaurant in Bury, Manchester. It only opened at the back end of last year. The restaurant serves up authentic Thai and Indian dishes. The chefs themselves are from Thailand and Pakistan. The restaurant has two floors and can seat 200 guests. As well as taking bookings it is also available to hire for functions. Although the Asia Lounge isn't a take away it will do so by special request. Location Asia Lounge is located on Rochdale Road, Bury just on the corner of Heywood Street. Premier DS-5080

Advantages: Cost-effective, lightweight, excellent photo quality

...Back in March, I was in need of a digital camera, but was looking for one that wouldn't break the bank...Ideally, the Premier DS-5080 5 Mega Pixel camera is on the market then! For a camera of such image quality, I was somewhat taken aback that the retail price was just shy of the £100 mark. Excellent! The first thing that instantly struck me was the weight of it. Lightweight, if possible to say so, is an understatement! Its thin silver body with sliding lens cover and flat LCD monitor ensure that there is little "excess" materials used in the making of it. As the image of the product shows, it's streamline look is very attractive and pleasing to look at and use. Sliding the lens cover will switch it on and then you have the fun of the very straight-forward menu, that I must confess, I was able to use and navigate around...

Premier, not perfect

I have actually been known to stay in a Youth Hostel on a business trip - but generally I opt for what have become known as 'budget hotels' - you know the ones: Premier Inn (a.k.a. Travelinn as was), Travelodge, Innkeeper's Lodge. These are the earthbound equivalents of budget airlines. No frills. But you do expect them to deliver on the basics. ...Used Gadget Asia back in January 2008 to purchase a Nintendo DS Lite for one of my daughters. The bundle included 20 games for £145.00. We decided against the fast delivery option as reviews on the web suggested these would arrive with a bill from customs. The unit arrived OK within about 7-10 days and most of the games work fine. Great purchase, good value for money, superb experience. Based on this, we decided to buy another DS Lite bundle from Gadget Asia on 24 August 2008. The bundle this time was a Nintendogs DS Lite with 25 games for £140.99. The unit arrived within the same 7-10 days, but the first problem occurred when we tried to charge up the unit for my daughter's birthday - the charger supplied did not work. ...and just a stop over we didn?t enquire into anything else that the hotel may offer but I would definitely recommend this to people looking for a weekend break or a wee stop over like ourselves because that?s what its obviously for, its not a resort or holiday place its just somewhere to lay your head, have a few wee drinks and probably some nice food and when they have offers even better, our offer of £29 was excellent as the normal price for a room for a night is £59 so technically we got 2 nights for the price of 1 and saved ourselves a pound woohoo?.I actually think that offer is still running with various locations from the Premier Inn Hotels just check out their website www.premierinn.com Thanks for reading and I appreciate any and all comments received....

Weymouth Premier Inn

Advantages: handy for ferry, beach, town, County Park

...This Premier Travel Inn is at Lodmoor Country Park in Weymouth, and very convenient for the Sea Life Centre, the town/beach and the ferry. We were catching a ferry from Weymouth in Dorset to Jersey at 7am on the Sunday morning. We only live a 2.5 hour drive away, but didnt want to leave anything to chance and also being pregnant, wanted to make life as easy as possible! So we booked into the Premier Travel Inn at Weymouth. It is on the A353 and was 2 miles from the ferry. We decided to visit the Sea Life centre as we had a free entry voucher from Tesco. I was still shocked at the price though as it cost £13.95 for 1 adult to get in. The centre was ok but I have seen better! Lodmoor Country Park is quite good, there was a big slide and mini go carts for the kids, and you can park and visit all of the attractions...

...Air Asia are a no frills airline based in South East Asia with connections locally around that region as well as up to China. There are also now flights between Kuala Lumpur and London plus 3 destinations in Australia (The Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth). I have only flown with Air Asia around the South East Asia region and so cannot comment on their long haul services. The range of destinations within Asia is very broad with hundreds of connections, including many to different islands of Indonesia and into Burma (Myanmar). Kuala Lumpur is the hub with Bangkok a secondary so these have the broadest connections. In terms of prices Air Aisia certainly live up to their name of being a cheap airline-one way prices for most short routes are around £20 taxes included and you can check on luggage up to 15kg without paying extra. ...We have stayed at Premier Inns in the past and felt fairly confident that we wouldn't be disappointed when booking Premier Inn Parkway in Guildford. Premier Inns offer standard accommodation, so you know pretty much what to expect. They guarantee their customers a 'Good Nights sleep or Money Back' and all come with a restaurant or pub adjoining, to serve residents with breakfast and evening meals.
