...I have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend. The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home. The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep. We opted for the breakfast deal and we were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and warm there was also plenty of choice. Access to the hotel was excellent for both able bodied and non-able bodied people, we didn't have a wheelchair but we did have a six month old baby and a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from...

Lovely Leeds

Advantages: Lots to see and do
Disadvantages: The weather can be disappointing

I have lived in more rural areas, out of town suburbs, studentville, and even dabbled in some almost city living. It's one of those cities that has been experiencing a boom over the last twenty or so years, overtaking the other cities of West Yorkshire to become the largest, and arguably most successful. Traditionally it really began to develop as a municipality from the beginnings of the industrial revolution, being at the centre of the woollen industry, and has a long history with textiles. Just look at how Marks and Spencer began! Nowadays, it has hard to class Leeds as one thing in particular - different areas all function as independent towns whilst being part of the larger Leeds - and with most cities has it's share of division. Premier DS-5080

Advantages: Cost-effective, lightweight, excellent photo quality
Disadvantages: Disadvantages!?!

...Back in March, I was in need of a digital camera, but was looking for one that wouldn't break the bank...Ideally, the Premier DS-5080 5 Mega Pixel camera is on the market then! For a camera of such image quality, I was somewhat taken aback that the retail price was just shy of the £100 mark. Excellent! The first thing that instantly struck me was the weight of it. Lightweight, if possible to say so, is an understatement! Its thin silver body with sliding lens cover and flat LCD monitor ensure that there is little "excess" materials used in the making of it. As the image of the product shows, it's streamline look is very attractive and pleasing to look at and use. Sliding the lens cover will switch it on and then you have the fun of the very straight-forward menu, that I must confess, I was able to use and navigate around...

Jurys inn - Cheap hotel in Leeds

Disadvantages: Soulless, very noisy from outside

...Jurys Inn, Leeds is a reasonably priced hotel that is a 10 minute walk both from the train station and shopping centre of Leeds. We stayed here one weekend in August 09 and it cost us £60 per night for a room with a double bed and a sofa bed (though it would have been squashed with 3 of us). We found the hotel clean and presentable, with reasonable facilities, but very soulless. The staff were polite, although reserved rather than warm. It is part of a chain of hotels, and I got the impression that probably every other hotel in this chain is exactly like this one. Checkout was at 12, though you could extend this (at a price). The facilities in the room were fairly standard for a budget hotel chain - there was a fair selection of tea and coffee, a desk with internet connection point, a television with more channels than we could hope to...

I have actually been known to stay in a Youth Hostel on a business trip - but generally I opt for what have become known as 'budget hotels' - you know the ones: Premier Inn (a.k.a. Travelinn as was), Travelodge, Innkeeper's Lodge. These are the earthbound equivalents of budget airlines. No frills. But you do expect them to deliver on the basics. We chose this hotel because of its location, the late check-out time and because it looked alright from the website. ...For a wonderful day or evening out go to Leeds Castle. It is not in Leeds as one would suppose but in Maidstone, Kent. During the Saxon times the area was called Esledes and the name Leeds came from that original name. It is not just a castle for you to wander around and look at the antiquities; it is a castle that is - once seen never forgotten, whether that is for the Norman architecture, the surroundings or the wonderful event/s you may experience there. I have now visited this castle twice in my life, the first time with a boyfriend and it makes a wonderful romantic day out and the second time with my husband and in laws, this made a fantastic family day out. Premier Inn - Premier Staff - Happy Enough

...and just a stop over we didn?t enquire into anything else that the hotel may offer but I would definitely recommend this to people looking for a weekend break or a wee stop over like ourselves because that?s what its obviously for, its not a resort or holiday place its just somewhere to lay your head, have a few wee drinks and probably some nice food and when they have offers even better, our offer of £29 was excellent as the normal price for a room for a night is £59 so technically we got 2 nights for the price of 1 and saved ourselves a pound woohoo?.I actually think that offer is still running with various locations from the Premier Inn Hotels just check out their website www.premierinn.com Thanks for reading and I appreciate any and all comments received....

Weymouth Premier Inn

Advantages: handy for ferry, beach, town, County Park
Disadvantages: none

...This Premier Travel Inn is at Lodmoor Country Park in Weymouth, and very convenient for the Sea Life Centre, the town/beach and the ferry. We were catching a ferry from Weymouth in Dorset to Jersey at 7am on the Sunday morning. We only live a 2.5 hour drive away, but didnt want to leave anything to chance and also being pregnant, wanted to make life as easy as possible! So we booked into the Premier Travel Inn at Weymouth. It is on the A353 and was 2 miles from the ferry. We decided to visit the Sea Life centre as we had a free entry voucher from Tesco. I was still shocked at the price though as it cost £13.95 for 1 adult to get in. The centre was ok but I have seen better! Lodmoor Country Park is quite good, there was a big slide and mini go carts for the kids, and you can park and visit all of the attractions...
