...My Presents - by Rod Campbell.... My Presents is a lovely board book for pre-school age children. It is by the popular author Rod Campbell whose other books include, The Zoo and Oh Dear. This book that I have is a board book, meaning it has a hard cover and all the pages inside are also hard, making it hard wearing for little hands. This is one book that we have had for quite a while now and Jack loves it. The book has 18 pages and has a very simple story. The first page says "it's my Birthday and I'm having a party. All my friends have bought presents, shall we open them?". The rest of the book guides you through each present bought by a particular friend. Busted's Present For Everyone

Advantages: An excellent album featuring fifteen fantastic Pop Punk anthems
Disadvantages: Lyrical intelligence can at times be at a minimum

...Busted were an English Pop Punk band which released two albums and nine singles during their four year history. Active between the years of 2001 and 2005, Busted were a massively popular pop phenomenon with four Number One's to their name, and eight of their nine singles in fact having reached the top 3 in the Official UK Chart. The ninth can in fact be discounted entirely as it was only a Limited-Edition single which never could have entered the charts anyway. Mrs Henderson presents nudity - shock, horror...

Advantages: Interesting story, good acting
Disadvantages: Not everyones idea of a good film

Initially her plans are rejected but spotting a loophole in the law she suggests that her nude actors will be motionless, like statues in a museum and describing them as works of art her plans are eventually reluctantly given the go ahead. I found Mrs Henderson Presents to be a very enjoyable film. It has a mixture of both serious moments and comical parts too but the balance between the two always seems to be about just right. Judi Dench portrays Mrs Hendeson wonderfully as a headstrong character that is always arguing and bickering with Mr Van Damm, to the point where things get so bad that she announces that she will never step foot in the theatre again, but this is a love/hate relationship that the couple thrive on. ...I have two little girls who absolutely adore all of the Disney Princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc), so they were really delighted when they received the Disney Princess Tin as a present for last Christmas. I have to say I was surprised when they unwrapped it, because having seen and felt the package, I was convinced it was yet another tin of biscuits - so it was a huge relief to discover all of these Disney items in a tin instead!! The tin contains two full colour story books, three activity books, a set of felt pens, some stencils and some stickers - a real treasure trove for little girls who love Disney princesses and art!
