Perfect Pressed Powder!!

Advantages: Inexpensive and really works
Disadvantages: No powder puff included

...As you can probably tell by my previous reviews that I am a Clinique fan! Everyday I use their liquid foundation finishing off with a dusting of loose translucent powder! Now despite the Clinique powder being so fantastic I have discovered that this is not suitable for transporting in ones handbag! Much too big and also rather messy if it was to open. Then I had a brainwave (bit unusual for me that one!) - why don?t I buy a pressed powder compact for touching up my shiny patches in the afternoons! Call me tight or a skinflint if you want ( I am Scottish!!), but there was no way that I was forking out another £17 for a Clinique powder albeit a pressed compact one. So whilst in Superdrug one day I had a browse at the make up. My goodness what a selection they had. There were six or seven sections of well known brands...

A cheap and not so cheerful pressed powder!

Advantages: Cheao and it does make the skin feel soft
Disadvantages: No visible results apart from a powdery look

...The other week when out on a date I got totally drunk! Hence to say the date didn't go at all well (the main reason I reckon I got drunk actually lol) but worse than that I lost my No7 brand new pressed powder! The following morning I woke up with the hangover from hell and missing my powder cursing saying I'd go out with someone in the first place! lol. Advantages: Good value for money; does the job; behaves like any other face powder
Disadvantages: It used to be cheaper!

...I've worn face powder for as long as I've been wearing make-up, because I tend to look shiny if I just use foundation or tinted moisturiser as a base, and I don't really suit the shiny look. Sometimes when I'm buying cosmetics I'll go for a more expensive brand, to treat myself to a product that's perhaps a little nicer to use, or has more of a striking effect. Advantages: flawless looking skin, great coverage for those will oily tzone
Disadvantages: don't overapply , you'll look gastly

...You can pick this powder up in Boots for around £2 which is a great price to pay for make up but Im not really convinced on how well it actually works. I wear make up every day, its part of my morning ritual to put on a bit of powder and sum blush but this make up didnt really seem to cover my skin or really make that much of a difference to my skin at all, in fact I might as well not bothered in applying this make up without a foundation on underneath, yes we all want the natural look but you need your make up to have some effect otherwise whats the point in wearing it. However if you use a foundation this make up seems to start to work and you can see its effects, and it looked quite natural too when put on, though every day I dont like to wear foundation so I dont think that this is the make up for me. ...I had been on holiday, and on my return was browsing around Boots looking for a fairly inexpensive powder that wouldn't make me look like an oil slick - I'd gotten a tan and felt brave enough to go without my foundation!
