The film follows two starting magicians, Angier and Borden. They start off as good friends but then turn into rivals when Angier's wife is killed in a magic trick that went wrong. The two spend the film, trying to work out each other's secrets and ruin their tricks, eventually ruining their livelihood. Borden then however discovers a trick, the ultimate trick. Nolan's Prestige has the Power to Astound

Advantages: Expertly layered & constructed plot, great performances
Disadvantages: Some may see the ending coming?

...For a good year or so, this film was sitting on my shelf unloved and unwatched - when I was eventually drawn to it after I realised it had been directed by Christopher Nolan (of Memento, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight ...), I discovered just what I'd been missing. For my money, this is simply an outstanding film in so many ways. A strong cast produce performances to match reputations while the plot twists and turns, skillfully keeping its secrets from the viewer. Stylistically too, The Prestige is a great success. It captures the look and feel of the era, when Magic, Trickery and Science were rather less distinct than we consider them now. The "prestige" of the title alludes to the final act of the typical tripartite magic trick. First comes "the Pledge", in which the magician shows the audience something apparently quite regular...

Advantages: Looks great

...This Deco toaster by Prestige looks really good! I own it in red. The advantages to this toaster include... * A matching kettle available (alhtough as you will see in another of my reviews this is not all that great) * It has two slots for toast which can be adjusted according to the size of the bread * It looks good in stainless steel and your chosen colour * It's buttons light up and are easy to press * It has reheat, defrost and bagel settings and a cancel button * Has a crumb tray * Has cord storage This kettle looks fab in my kitchen! Buffet RC prestige Clarinet

Advantages: Great Quality and Sound

...After starting the clarinet at school i asked for a buffet B12 clarinet for christmas. I kept this clarinet until the last year of my A levels but my clarinet teacher advised me that i needed a new one to progress further. Because of this i then started to try many different clarinets. I tried nearly every model and every make and narrowed it down to a Buffet RC and a Buffet R13. The reason i chose an RC prestige was because of the dark mellow german tone compared to the R13 prestige which gives a brighter french tone. This clarinet served me well through my degree, i gained a first in major performance with this clarinet and enjoyed every minute of practicing with it. now i am a woodwind teacher i would always tell the pupils to go for Buffet as they make outstanding clarinet. Even the most basic models are well built and sound good...

Prestige Glass Kettle- looking cool in my kitchen.

Advantages: Easy to monitor boiling, keep warm function, looks cool
Disadvantages: Fear of glass breaking

...The kettle in my home recently broke so my dad told my sister and I we had to get a new one. He gave us a number of features he wanted and after searching we were able to fulfil all of these in the Prestige. They were 1. be able to see how full it is, 2. have a separate base, 3. be quick to boil and 4. have a reasonable capacity. We bought this Kettle in John Lewis for £39.99 and have found it to very efficient. What attracted it to us was the use of a glass to store the water. This is great as you can see not only how much water is left without having to look inside but since now that I have used it for a while I can tell how soon it will take to boil due to what the water looks and how disturbed it is when its working!
