...I am going to review one of the older books as Judith Miller brings one of these books out every year. She also brings out an antiques price guide annually aswell the paticualar one I am using as reference is the 1997 to 1998 version. Judith miller and her team go round different auction houses and photograph items that are worth a fair bit. A lot of these things are modern day collectables, starting from the later end of the 19th century up to present day. each page has photos of the items which include a price, ie valuers estimate, say as £25-£40 If you go to car boots or flea markets it would be a good idea to look through one of these books, and get an idea of whats worth something amd what's it not. The list is obviously not comprehensive but it does give useful background information on establishments that are available. There is also a guide to pricing. Final Thoughts Overall this I think the guide-book is satisfactory but it didn?t light the flames of excitement about my trip. The layout just doesn?t lend itself to ?dipping in? and finding little pieces of information. All the necessary facts are contained but somehow they were just a little tricky to find. Brilliant Brits Guide!

Advantages: Clearly laid out with really useful information.

... The chapters relating to the major themeparks are all laid out in the same manner so makes the guide very easy to use. There is lots of general information about the park followed by a map and then details of each attraction including height requirements and suitability for particular ages. There is always good advice on how to manage each park, hidden gems that you might miss and prices of merchandise to help you budget. I read these so much I think I commited them to memory. However although my family frequently had to chase me to keep up we never missed a thing and were never tired and irritable as I had planned suitable quiet things (like Disneys-Its a small world) inbetween busy spells of thrill rides. I also knew where to sit for the best views of the parades and how best to manage getting in and out of the parks at the begining and end...
