Did I enjoy my stay? Absolutely. Would I pay £180 to stay here again? No. (That?s not just a reflection on this place?I wouldn?t choose to spend that much to stay anywhere.) But it?s old world glamour that you can?t possibly compare to the Travelodges and Premier Travel Inns of this world, and for one night this Palace can make you feel like a Princess.

The World of Peppa Pig
As many of you may have already guessed from some of my other reviews ? my two year old daughter absolutely loves Peppa Pig. Unlike many other programmes she likes, I actually enjoy this one too (after seeing it over and over daily how can I not start to like it!) and as of yet, I have not got to the point where I am wanting to throw the television out of the window whenever it is on which is a really great sign!

This year, I was in charge of organising our office Christmas party, and, being based in South East London, the department tends to head to Bromley or Greenwich for a meal. The booking process was slightly tiresome, seeing as the particular member of staff we made our booking through was somewhat challenged in the brains department. The initial booking process was easy. Keeping your first pre-school child happy when a new one comes along can be something of a challenge. The focus of attention, out of necessity, is usually lavished on baby and so you have to be careful not to inadvertently leave the older one out, ensuring enough quality time is spent with them so that they don?t resort to ?other? means (tantrums, strops, and creatively destructive behaviour?) to get one on one with a parent. The temptation is to plonk them in front of Nick Jr. or CBeebies for hours on end, but turning your kid into a goggle-eyed zombie spouting catchphrases from the likes of Dora, Diego, Peppa Pig and Lazytown does not strike me as the height of responsible parenting.

Peppa Pig is a children?s animated television programme which my daughter has recently fallen in love with. Each episode is only five minutes long so keeps her attention really well, possibly one of the reasons that she loves it so much. The episodes follow a young pig called Peppa and her family and friends, each of which are different types of lovable animals. Episodes feature every day activities such as school and going to the park with some really funny moments that even I have to laugh at.
So of course, as my daughters birthday approached, when people asked what would she like, I had to say Peppa Pig ? especially as she had just learnt to sing the theme tune!

...My granddaughter seems to have everything associated with Peppa Pig from DVD?s, books and toys to duvet covers and cushions and loves playing with all the paraphernalia. So when I saw this Feltastic product I just knew she would love it.
Priced at £5.99 from The Works it comes in a clear rectangular plastic wallet measuring 39cm by 34cm and has a plastic but sturdy carrying handle. To open and close the wallet there are two white poppers. Inside there is strong, stiff, unbendable board measuring approximately 37cm by 32 cm covered on one side by blue and green felt. The blue section covers ¾ of the board and obviously represents the sky and the green the grass. And on the other side is a piece of bright yellow card which illustrates all the other products in this range including Dora, Diego and Shaun the Sheep.

.... There are 3 Peppa pig puzzles inside this box from Jumbo puzzles. My granddaughter loves Peppa pig along with many other 3 to 5 year olds.
So what better as an incentive to sit and do puzzles than ones featuring her favourite character. These puzzles are recommended for a 3 year old my granddaughter nearly 4 has had these since last summer.
There are 3 puzzles one with 6 pieces one with 9 and one with 12 pieces. These are not large floor puzzles but small ones to do on the table. Each one although a different number of pieces is the same size. The individual puzzle pieces quite thin too .They is made of thin card which could get bent. While alright for home I think these would soon get bent and pictures damaged in a school / nursery setting.

...One of the presents my daughter received for her fourth birthday recently was this Peppa Pig Little Library collection. Although she is a big fan of Peppa Pig, I did wonder whether she might have outgrown these types of books but I was wrong. They are definitely books younger children will appreciate but she has happily sat and 'read' them many times too. I think that because each book has only a few words and a simple text, it is easy for her to almost memorise it all which makes her feel that she can read (just like her older sister!).
There are six little board books that come altogether in their cardboard container. They are only about 5cm squared. All of them feature Peppa Pig, a popular children's TV character, and focus on a different aspect of her life. The six titles are:

I know I can hear you tutting saying that it is wrong to let a child get their own way all the time, but there are times when she doesn't get her own way.
