The HP 300's bigger, stronger brother

...This range of print cartridges from HP is the bigger and better version of the HP300. Those of you who remember my stunning, wrongly uncrowned review of the HP300 will remember how it ran out after just 140 pages. Well, this time I splashed out on the upgrade. Basically, these cost £30 each, although I picked them up on ebay for around £19 brand new and sealed. They are print cartridges that do a lot more than the HP300. The black and white cartridge will give 600 pages of print (4 times what I got out of its baby brother at just twice the price). The colour one gives 440 pages. Oki toner cartridge - Professional, excellent quality printing.

Advantages: Professional quality. Simple to change, good colour
Disadvantages: Expensive, not sure if it is recyclable

...I have been using the Oki toner cartridges for apporximately 12 months. In my opinion the quality is fantastic, clear and precise. When a notice pops up telling me to replace the cartridge it can be ignored for quite a considerable time, even when running low on certain colours I have still found that the quality is good. When the time comes that the colour reproduction is not good enough then as long it is not for an important document I have found that by just simply removing the cartridge, shaking it about a bit and replacing it, it can bring the colour back to life and will add extra life to it.On the whole I feel it produces professional print quality. I think it is an expensive item but have not compared the longevity against an alternative product....

Fantastic print quality but high maintenance costs

...I bought this colour cartridge for my HP Deskjet D4260 and have found that the colours are absolutely fantastic! I have never seen such crisp, clear quality on a printer before. Even when I printed photographs on standard paper rather than photo paper, the quality was still superb. Also printed documents were of very extremely good quality. I usually print out all documents in draft quality rather than choosing the available normal or best print option, simply for the reason to make printing more economical and to make the cartridge longer. And I have to say that even the draft printed quality of documents on the HP 351 and HP 350 (Black) XL are very good. I never had to choose the normal option, not even when sending letters and invoices to customers. I have always found the cartridges very easy to fit and have never experienced...

The Cheap and cheerful ish Cartridge!

Advantages: Cheap, colour print is good, easy to insert

...Hello and welcome to this review! My gosh those trial cartridges that come with your printer sure do run out quickly! These cartridges are greatly priced, much cheaper than other brands such as HP! However, there is one problem I have come accross when using the Lexmark 1 Cartridge. That being - When black is printed, it doesn't quite come out black! Its more of a green colour. I understand this is because colours are mixed inside the cartridge to make black but the best colour they can make must be green:( I thought it may have been my printer however I bought a second and its exactly the same! I would definately say for the price of this printer and cartridge range It is good for people doing everyday printing, however if you are printing invoices etc and require that crisp look Im afraid you will not get it...

Canon Yellow Third party Ink Cartridge

Advantages: Cheap, Does the job, Better for the environment

...This review is for the yellow Canon ink cartridge that i bought from my local ink refill store. I bought this as ink for canon printers can be extortinate so decided i would try and save on costs and try out third party ones. on first impressions,the only thing that appeared different from the original ink cartridges was the packaging. In terms of printing quality,it looked quite similar however when i started printing out more and more copies,the morethe quality degraded. The ink cartridge doesn't last as long either as the genuine ones. They also have a tendency to smudge and also do not dry as quickly. Overall i probably would not recommend them unless you are looking to use it very ocassionally...
