HP45 Print Cartridge

Advantages: Print quality, ease of use
Disadvantages: Too expensive

...can malfunction and leak, but I have yet to experience this happening to any of the ones I have had. With my recycling hat on, there is no mention on this cartridge of whether any parts have been used from recycled materials. I?m assuming then that HP are not trying to used recycled parts in this print cartridge, which seems a real waste considering the amount of these cartridges that must be used and thrown away on a daily basis worldwide! Here comes my usual gripe with Hewlett Packard consumables, I feel that they are too expensive! OK £20 might not seem that excessive a price, but considering that you usually need a colour cartridge too for around the same price, you are talking about £40 just to replace the ink in a printer that probably only cost £80 to begin with! I don?t think that it is particularly fair to consumers...

QUALITY PRINTING AT A COST

Oki toner cartridge - Professional, excellent quality printing.

Advantages: Professional quality. Simple to change, good colour
Disadvantages: Expensive, not sure if it is recyclable

...I have been using the Oki toner cartridges for apporximately 12 months. In my opinion the quality is fantastic, clear and precise. When a notice pops up telling me to replace the cartridge it can be ignored for quite a considerable time, even when running low on certain colours I have still found that the quality is good. When the time comes that the colour reproduction is not good enough then as long it is not for an important document I have found that by just simply removing the cartridge, shaking it about a bit and replacing it, it can bring the colour back to life and will add extra life to it.On the whole I feel it produces professional print quality. I think it is an expensive item but have not compared the longevity against an alternative product....

Fantastic print quality but high maintenance costs

...I bought this colour cartridge for my HP Deskjet D4260 and have found that the colours are absolutely fantastic! I have never seen such crisp, clear quality on a printer before. Even when I printed photographs on standard paper rather than photo paper, the quality was still superb. Also printed documents were of very extremely good quality. I usually print out all documents in draft quality rather than choosing the available normal or best print option, simply for the reason to make printing more economical and to make the cartridge longer. And I have to say that even the draft printed quality of documents on the HP 351 and HP 350 (Black) XL are very good. The Cheap and cheerful ish Cartridge!

Advantages: Cheap, colour print is good, easy to insert

...Hello and welcome to this review! My gosh those trial cartridges that come with your printer sure do run out quickly! These cartridges are greatly priced, much cheaper than other brands such as HP! However, there is one problem I have come accross when using the Lexmark 1 Cartridge. That being - When black is printed, it doesn't quite come out black! Its more of a green colour. I understand this is because colours are mixed inside the cartridge to make black but the best colour they can make must be green:( I thought it may have been my printer however I bought a second and its exactly the same! I would definately say for the price of this printer and cartridge range It is good for people doing everyday printing, however if you are printing invoices etc and require that crisp look Im afraid you will not get it...

One thing, is that when I print the color has to be immaculate to what I actually have produced, but that's where I want to warn people not to buy color cartridges for the sake of printing photographs, there is usually a separate cartridge for this, although it usually replaces the black ink, please check if that is the case as the photos will come up more blurred and out of focus. The color is of standards color, I wouldn't say it's great. It dries up fairly quick witch is always a good thing.
