Digital Photo Printing at Boots

...I have a digital camera, and keep my photos on my computer's hard-drive, but occasionally I like to get better and more interesting pictures printed, it just seems so much more natural to hold a real photo than look at it on the screen, plus it's better for showing them to people when a computer or TV isn't available, or giving photos to people who don't have a computer or DVD player. I recently therefore took a batch of my digital photos to Boots to get them printed. Boots now have self service machines for digital photos, which allow either instant, 1 hour or 24 hour printing from various sources. This can be a memory card, a photo CD, or Infra-Red direct from a compatible phone or camera. Fast, easy person photo printing

...My father won this photo printer in a New Year dinner prize draw earlier this year, together with a Sony digital camera. Being the wonderful dad he is, he gave them as a gift to me and my husband so that we could take some great photo memories. Our version is not black - its the white one. The printer also came with a 'print pack', which contains print cartridges and photo paper. Each cartridge gives 40 photos. We had a lot of photos from our honeymoon and other lovely times since we'd been together, and having this little printer is perfect for lazy people like us that don't want to make the trip to the local photo shop! This is a very convenient solution for printing out those precious holiday snaps, at a very high level of quality - make yourself a cup of tea and discuss with family whilst sorting through photo collections...

Ooooooo, it's a photo

...Please Note: This is a copy from my review at Doyoo.co.uk Quality Ink = Quality photographs. It is as simple as that. This ink is fantastic and to my surprise it lasts for a great deal of time to be honest. I have printed far too many photographs to count with this cartridge on photographic paper, with the photographic printing turned on (hence, meaning a lot more ink is used), and the cartridge is only half empty. That puts a smile on my face :O). Honestly, though, it is a great cartridge to use, the printing time is a joke. Really. It takes like 4 minutes to print one photograph, why...once again I have no idea. Besides that, the quality is great, it dries up super fast for photo ink and the price...well...it's not cheap! It is around 35 GBP from the HP website last time I checked and about 28 GBP from my local Tesco...

QUALITY PRINTING AT A COST

INSTALLATION AND USAGE RECOMMENDATION Installing the cartridge itself is simplicity itself, simply lifting the cartridge cover in the printer, removing the used cartridge, and then clicking the new cartridge in place and then replacing the cartridge cover. Simple instructions are included with the printer, which you do not even have to read, as the instructions are done in a picture format. With regards to the type of user, I would suggest that this is for the low to moderate user, and not recommended for a volume user e.g. office or school, or else you would be replacing the cartridges on a regular basis. The cartridge contains HP pigment-based inks and I must admit, the quality is excellent but I would not recommend it for photo and special project printing. HP WARRANTY...

...I love taking photos and take my camera everywhere. As a result I get loads of great photos that I want to print. I have a small printer that prints 6 x 4 but as it costs about £30 for an ink cartridge and 100 sheets of gloss paper, working out at 30p per print, this isn't the most cost effective way to print my many photos. I discovered snapfish.co.uk about 2 years ago and although I only used it now and again at first, I now use it regularly. Snapfish is an online digital photo printing service. ...a bit limited, and I had to scratch my head a bit before I could work out where to load the paper! (its from the top) I have certainly not been dissapointed with my purchase. For simple word documents, it prints quickly and, to my untrained eye, is very crisp and professional looking. The 'draft' setting print is (obviously) a bit light, but using the normal settings produce excellent print. Similarly, for photo quality pics, the quality was excellent. It really looked like a picture that had just been developed from old fashioned film. Unlike some other printers, it will print 'borderless photo pics'. It also features front and back USB ports to link easily to your laptop / mobile / digicam etc.. Annoyingly, a USB cable is not supplied.
