Canon BJC 250
Advantages: Cheap, simple to use, generally nice to work with
Disadvantages: Expensive cartridges, poor output, poor paper handling
...The Canon BJC 250 bubble jet printer is a small lightweight printer suitable for printing simple documents for the home or office. When I bought this printer is was about Ģ90 and has proved ideal for all my essays for school and college.
The printer cartridges typically cost from about Ģ17 to Ģ25 depending on what cartridge you buy and the retailer. You can buy 4 different cartridges, dedicated black, colour, photo colour and fluorescent colours.
The printer is small compared to others and I have it sitting on my mini tower computer and I still have space to put my pens ;-).
In operation the printer is fairly quiet and does not rock the desk like others. The output quality of the printer isn't as good as more expensive printers like Hewlett Packard or Epson but it's still not too bad. The paper loading is rather poor though...

Very good little printer (BJC - 210, same as 240)
Advantages: Very small reliable printer
Disadvantages: not dual cartridge
...I have used the BJC-210 (the same as the 240, just an older model) for about 3 years and it has never once not worked or given me any hassle. I first bought the printer as i needed one fast for school, so i thought i would buy a cheap one, then upgrade at a later date. I have never needed to upgrade the printer.
The only thing that is a set back about this printer is that it isnt Dual cartridge, so if you want a colour print, you have to put the colour cartridge in and take the black out. therefore if you have a colour page with black text, the black text will come out a very dark green. This is onlly noticeable though if you look very carefully and dosent worry me too much.
The printer is small. It tores the paper upright, and there is no paper tray, so you don't have to have a huge desk to store it on!
very good printer if...

Excellent Printer From Canon
Advantages: Excellent Print Quality, Fast Printing, Reasonable Price
Disadvantages: None
...My printer had been playing up for a couple of months, I normally (99% of the time) only use it for printing in black for invoices, however I do occasionally print something off in colour and sometimes print a photo. It was missing one of the colours out now and again and so I decided it was time for a new one.
Why Canon?
My old printer was a Canon and although it was playing up it had served me well for about three years of constant use. I also think the design of the Canon printers is very good, I think they are far better to look at than most other makes and this is quite important when you are going to be looking at it everyday, sat on your desk. Another reason is the fact that the ink cartridges are much more affordable than some other makes, I once had a Hewlet Packard printer and required a second mortgage everytime they...

CANON BJC 1000 - 7 YEARS OF SUCCESS
Advantages: VERY REALIABLE
Disadvantages: SLOW SPEED IN "OPTIMAL" QUALITY SETTING
...Albeit I speak Spanish, Iīll write on English.
One word: FIDELITY. Iīve got brand new from 2001 and itīs slow but works excellent. Never papar jams, flips, flops or so. I lost the CD and found drivers on 32.186.415 sites on the Net.
No power, online/offline buttons con confuse.
And also, the program included tells me EVERYTHING that happens.
Iīm so used to itīs sound that i thinkīs music.
Also, comparing the cost with Epson catridge, it lasts much longer (about $28 for six months).
The only time it didnīt print was when the print head was dirty due to much BC05 use. Now I owe it and my syster hates it. Well, she can enjoy the super speed Lexmark Z705 and see if last many years as my Canon.

Canon BJC - 250
Advantages: Good long lasting cartridges, small - requires very little space
Disadvantages: Only one cartridges can be installed at a time (black or white)
...I bought this printer 8 years ago, a recommandation from the staff in Currys. I never had expected this printer to last such a long time, and still regain its good condition after so many years
.
I had a few problem when I first purchased the printer, such as it kept spitting out papers without me commanding it.
The customer service I recieved from the manufacturer was good.
When it did start working, the picture quality was good for my need and the best feature of such a printer are, its need for space is very minimum for a printer, and all though the cartridges cost between Ģ15 - Ģ30, the cartridges last for a long time. The black cartridges last for 100 page printing and colour cartiridge lasts for 60 pages.
The colour printing is quite slow at times, but the quality of print is good.
After about 5 years of my purchase...

Cute printer gives you what you need on the move
Advantages: Portable, cheap to print, small size on desk
Disadvantages: Slow, only average print quality
...doesn't hold that much paper in the tray (?twenty sheets), so if you are doing a lot of printing you might have to top it up.
3. The print quality is only really good for documents, not photos - although I have printed photos out on glossy paper and they've been OK, it's not what it is designed for.
4. Given it's a portable printer it was very annoying to discover that the software/driver for my desktop Canon at work conflicted with this one. Naturally I wanted to be able to use this at home (where my printing volume are low and my requirements more draft than presentation quality) and a more high volume one one my desk at work. But I couldn't! How stupid. Had to change my Canon printer at work for a different one (swapped with someone else in the office) then it was OK. You'd think Canon might have seen that one coming though.

A Good All-round Printer !
Advantages: Quality and speed
Disadvantages: The cartridges are expensive
...BJC 6000 Canon
A Good All-round Printer
This is a good all-round printer for family or office use. The printer is low costing to run around 4 pence per sheet black and white and 6 pence a sheet colour. The printer is very quite and produces some top quality photo print-outs that you won't be displeased with as you would expect from a photo printer it prints up to 1440 dpi (dots per inch), which is very good. I purchased this printer around 2 months a go and it has also produces printouts with my fullest satisfaction also I have had no trouble with it.
Advantages: High Quality printouts
Disadvantages: Costs quite alot to run....

A good basic colour printer
Advantages: Good print quality, cheap to run
Disadvantages: Poor paper handling
...We bought this Canon BJC-620 colour inkjet printer to replace a black and white Canon printer in our small office. We had been through four different black and white inkjet printers, but really liked the last one (a BJ230), which is why we chose to purchase another Canon printer.
COST & SEPARATE INK TANKS
The main reason for choosing this particular model was the cost.
We particularly wanted a printer with separate colour ink tanks. The BJC-620 has separate tanks for black, cyan, magenta and yellow ink. Having separate ink tanks reduces your running costs considerably, since you only need to replace each colour one at a time as it runs out. At the time of purchase (about 5 years ago) this was the cheapest model with separate ink tanks available, and cost a little under Ģ200.
RUNNING COSTS
The printer is quite economical...

A Good Cheap Printer For Light Usage
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...I bought a Canon BJC-1000 printer when on a tight budget and was pleasantly surprised by its performance. The Canon BJC-1000 is a very good budget printer, offering a print quality which will be more than good enough for the average home user. It is easy to setup under Windows 98, simply a case of running the CD and I have never had a problem with paper jams or such like.
One of its major weaknesses is however, its speed. Printing a large document or graphics can take for ever and if you use the high print quality setting it absolutely drinks ink. Therefore if you intend to use you printer alot then you would be well advised to steer clear from this offering but for light use it is a very good option.
Another problem is that the Canon BJC-1000 is one of those printers which requires you to switch the ink cartridges around if you...

Canon MP 460 printer
Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: poor photo prints
...to print over 50 different photos. All of them were left looking like everyone had freckels and skin tones were next to useless. Definatly not ones you want to show anyone. Even when put through a cleaning cycle there was no difference. On the bright side, when you printed text using only black ink it was crisp and very clear right down to no 8 font size.
Apart from the nice looking screen area it has nothing to excite me. After using the machine for a week I have took it back to the shop, why, because of the banding, lack of colour depth and a sqeek on the slide rail when the cartridges are going across. So not really impressed with this one. I would stay clear and pay more for a good printer. Canon has failed on this one I think....
