Disadvantages: far cry from the origanal

...the 21st century, as is the storyline and the hi tech gadgets that are used to pull off the bullion robbery. The new style Mini Cooper, (which aren't so mini anymore) are re-introduced, racing again through the sewers and the subway systems after bringing L.A. to a complete gridlock. There are a few similarities between the '69 movie and this remake but the main movie is totally different. I suppose if this movie was given a different title I may have enjoyed it more as I was constantly comparing it to the original, so this spoiled it slightly for me as I was totally lost as to why this was called 'the Italian Job'?? considering most of the car chases and the action was in Los Angeles??
