Sensible Pro Evolution Soccer!
Advantages: It's Pro Evolution Soccer, in handheld format for crying out loud...
Disadvantages: Some long loading times and a lack of a Master League likely to put some fans off...
...tie to non-league Nuneaton Borough.
Luckily, you just can't keep the second best football game ever made down. Before you know it, that difficult away tie has become a simple 5-0 thrashing. Konami have done the sensible (pun intended) thing and have converted Pro Evolution Soccer to the PSP with the framework of the machine in mind, along with how gamers are likely to utilise the PSP in its portable capacity. Thus, the game is leaner and more compact, removing many decent yet irrelevant elements of the more powerful PS2 version, whilst maintaining the most important aspect of all previous versions of Pro Evolution Soccer - the actual football engine that provides the realistic gameplay.
Indeed, it's the football that you pay for and it's the football that you get. The main game engine looks as realistic and as gorgeous as it ever did...

Pro Evolution Soccer 5
Advantages: Return of the king
Disadvantages: Lack of teams/depth
...Here we are my people. It's back, the fifth installment. The king. The champion. The legend. The myth. The greatest game known to man!!
The Pro Evolution Soccer series came about from the Japanese 'Winning Eleven'. Back then it was a rather meek game compared to the mighty FIFA. But the first installment gave the gamer looking for a competitor to FIFA a glimmer of hope. I did actually see Pro Evolution Soccer going for 97p in 'Game' a few weeks ago. A bargain for the game that started it all.
For Christmas, I wanted this game, first and foremost. Master Claus didn't fail and on the 25th of last month I was enjoying my first game on Pro Evolution Soccer 5. I seem to recall my first game being I as Everton and my brother as Barcelona. I beat him 5-2, much to my delight. Even in the first game you could see what the developers...

Pro Evolution Soccer 5 Review
Advantages: Best Football Game Out
Disadvantages: Not all licensed players
...This game has been the best football game around for a long time now and its keeps getting more popular while the Fifa series is losing a bit interest. Pro evos game play is twice the game play of Fifa. Every year the two games come out and Pro always comes out best. The more the game goes on the bigger crowd of supporters the game is getting. John Terry and Thierry Henry are on the front cover as they are great fans themselves. Apparently Henry has been playing it for ten years now so it has to be a good game. The graphics are stunning on this game and they have made it a lot more realistic with personal and unique actions on certain players. Fifa may have the licensing but they havent got much on the gameplay. Pro evolution will take a little time to get use to, but after that you will be wanting to play it again and again. it is very...

Pro-Evolution Soccer 5 for the PS2
Advantages: gameplay, graphics, net-play,
Disadvantages: referees, loading times
...Pro-Evolution Soccer 5
Despite playing Fifa Football for most of my gaming life I decided to see what the fuss was all about with the latest in the Pro Evo franchise, No 5. The game has already reached a best-selling status by joining the many other elite Platinum games, which gives you a fantastic game for a fantastic price, saving you a bit of money! It boasts Arsenal's Thierry Henry and Chelsea's John Terry on the cover so you automatically know that these two Premiership giants are fully licensed as well as thousands of other players in Europe and the rest of the world. In the previous PES games this was a bit of a distraction because while the faces of the players reflected their real-life counterparts, the names were altered so it would not infringe on the player's copyright. Thankfully for the majority of the game is filled...

Pro Evolution Soccer 5
Advantages: Excellent gameplay , improved graphics and most realistic football simulation ever
Disadvantages: Commentary inaccurate at times and licenses only for some teams
...let them down slightly. The ball now runs a lot more fluently and realistically. The Players move, and tackle, like they would in real life, and the game has been enhanced to move on from the Arcadey-style used in it's predecessors to a realistic football simulation. The satisfaction when you score is now at least trebled, and no more ridiculously high scorelines, as the difficulty has been significantly increased, which adds to the challenge the game offers.
With plenty to keep you occupied, all new kits, clubs and licenses (Arsenal, Chelsea, Celtic, Rangers, Dynamo Kiev and FC Porto to name but a few), aswell as the inevitable roster update, Pro Evolution Soccer 5 is the new King of Football games. Many thanks to Konami for many sleepless nights. This is the best game money can buy, and offers great levels of enjoyment to both football...

Pro Evolution Soccer 5
Advantages: Great football realism
Disadvantages: Commentary
...Introduction
Pro Evolution soccer 5 (or Winning Eleven in the U.S) is the fifth game to be released on the Playstation 2. The game is produced by Konami, who have also produced titles such as Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Pro Evolution soccer 5 has to be the best football game for the Playstation 2 at the moment, people argue that FIFA 2006, which is made by EA SPORTS is better because of the licensing of all of the teams in the game. However there is a way to get fully licensed kits and this is by purchasing a Max Drive which are on www.play.com for around £10. Once you have a Max Drive, to get realistic kits you have to download an option file, which can be found by looking on Google. The game has fully licensed leagues and teams from Serie A (Italian League), La Liga (Spanish League) and Eredivisie (Dutch league). The game has 57...

Pro Evolution Soccer 5
Advantages: Excellent graphics during gameplay, excellent footballing skills within game, can unlock classic teams and players,
Disadvantages: Quite complex to do certain skills
...This game is the best football game out by far. Its gameplay is what makes it such a superb game. You can do brilliant skills just by moving the right analogue stick. However, more complex skills are more complex to do. You will need to get use to the basics of the game before trying to do skills and mastering the game.
The graphics are above average. The sound is very good, although the commentary can get annoying sometimes.
You can choose to play with up to 8 friends, or you can start your own season, with a default team, or a team created by the game. You will work your way up to the top, and you will get more experience and money, so then you can start buying and selling players. You can chnage formations, and by saying this i just don't mean choosing like 4-4-2 or 4-5-1, you can actually move players on the screen. There...

Celebratory Pro Evolution Soccer 6
Advantages: Flawless Gameplay, Unrivalled Multiplayer
Disadvantages: Unlicensed Teams, Accustomization Difficulty
...equally as well with either foot! In Pro Evolution Soccer, Maradona would sooner try his trademark left-foot-behind-right shot rather than unleash one with his weak right.
Minor details like this apply for more players than you'd think, but there is also a solid stat-based formula for every one of them, making sure that Wayne Rooney has far less inaccurate shots than Gary Neville and Patrick Vieira passes better than Marcelo Zalayeta. What's more to say of a system so intricate, that a player's ability is taken into consideration when the referee decides whether or not to produce a card?
The fantastic Artificial Intelligence, ranging in 5 difficulty levels, also assures that when having two computer teams play each other you'll get a very realistic interpretation of football, actually imitating the way these particular teams play. It won...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
Advantages: Strong graphics, good gameplay, wide spectrum of AI
Disadvantages: Poor online capabilities, still lacking a fully licencsed lineup
...The PES series of football games are often said to be the best of the bunch, with game play better than FIFA games, even if the graphics aren't quite up to scratch and at the cost of all the teams not being licensed.
Well PES 2008 is a good game, no doubt about that, and being the first next gen PES, it had high expectations to live up to.
Well the graphics in the game are certainly good enough for next gen, with players moving with greater fluidity and more naturally than the previous outing, PES 6, and theres a fair few teams too, however compare it with the latest FIFA outing, and it seems distinctly average.
The Premiership remains unlicensed, apart from player names, and not even all the international teams have the correct player names, however we have come to expect that from PES games so lets put that aside and focus...
