Sony Portable Projector

Advantages: Easy to carry, light and compact
Disadvantages: Expensive to maintain

...I have used this Sony Projector for over 3 years. It is very light, compact and easy to use. It comes in a canvas carry case with shoulder strap. The projector itself folds up in to a compact carry case. The front cover folds over with a handle and locks so it can be carried like a mini briefcase. The control functions are on top of the projector. There is a row of buttons on the front, Power,Input,APA, and volume control. On the right are buttons for reset,menu,arrow keys and enter. There are 4 light signals,lamp,fan,power saving,standby. The port at the back has audio,mouse,video,svideo and scart to laptop connection. THe SONY LCD Projector made in Japan is very reliable. OPTIMA HD720X PROJECTOR

Advantages: QUIET FAN TOP PICTURE MUST BUY

...i have just purchased the optima HD720x and i can say it is top quality my old projector which i thought was a very good picture is no match for the 720x i have been running my pc downloads of movies through the projector and was amazed at the quality of picture this is even with out HD just awesome thought it was HD and i cant think what an HD input device will display . must say if i had a choice of the new 70inch plasma that cost nearly £2000 or this machine i know where my cash will go VALUE FOR MONEY . ps and im just projecting it on my wall that has been painted magnolia how simple is that SORTED. well its now nearly 12 months since i wrote this review and have had many hours of viewing like over a thousand now lol maybe thats because im using it many hours a day as it runs from my pc to watch films music videos and wait for it...

Sony VPL-CS1 A Projector Well Ahead Of It's Time

I recognise that this is a fairly old projector and pretty much outdated, but as I work with secondhand electronics, I am seeing this projector becoming more and more popular. If you are looking to buy one secondhand I wouldn't expect you to pay any more than £200 at most. Please do not be put off by the fact that this projector has a brightness of 600 lumens. It is on par with projectors of around 1500 lumens. Infact, it is far better than most projector of double the brightness (1200 lumens) the projectors that come to mind are Toshiba's, but I'll review some of them later. ...This is projector is affordable but still has some positive features. The resolution of 1024 x 768 allows clear projection with much detail. However if you are interested in High definition or multimedia i would not recommend this. However for business or education this is perfect. The 2200 ANSI Lumens allows the pictures to be very bright in well lit conditions. It was very easy to set this up and epson provided all the cables in needed. This epson website is also very helpful for driver and software updates. Even though this is not a DLP projector i think this projector meets its demands nicely and is a good price. Other products to consider would be the Optoma range since they also are very good....
