Toshiba TLP-S30 A Form Over Function Projector
Advantages: Looks Great - Very Stylish, Compact & Very Light.
Disadvantages: Not Bright Enough At All
...The Toshiba TLP-S30 Projector
This projector is very aesthetically pleasing, it looks very modern and and the face of it looks to be a great projector.
There are several important factors to look at when considering buying a projector and that is the brightness. This projector boasts a 1400 lumen lamp. For those of you who aren't used to projector terminology, lumens are just a unit for the measure of how bright the bulb in a projector is (and lamp is just the correct term for a projector bulb) Now this isn't an amazing brightness, but the Sanyo PLC-SU20 (just as an example) works comfortably at 1200 lumens and around 1500 lumens is really what somebody new to projectors should probably be looking at.
So the brightness of this projector is good then you woul think. Well actually no; On paper the projector should perform very...

Typical Toshiba
Advantages: Ease of use, memory capacity
Disadvantages: Quality, feel, value for money
...The Toshiba Satellite L500 is the same as most other toshiba laptops. It looks stylish and can do all the basic functions that you would want for a laptop. However, when you use it, you dont feel very comfortable because it feels very cheap. The keyboard is very flimsy and feels like it is about to break every time you type something and the mouse pad and buttons do not respond well. However, the number pad on the right hand side of the keyboard is great as it makes it so easy to type numbers. You can buy this laptop with a range of processors and sizes of harddrive so you can choose the one which suits you best. The display is actually very good but the battery life could have been improved. On my model it will last for a maximum of 2.5 hours on its lowest power setting.
Overall, this laptop is reasonable at most things but not...

A great budget DLP Projector
Advantages: Low price, vivid colour, ease of use and setup
Disadvantages: Resolution could be a bit higher, slight screen-door effect
...I bought this projector for my home cinema system and i have been very impressed with it. For the money, i don't think there is a better projector packed with features and superb ease of use.
The picture quality is more than satisfactory for watching DVD's and playing PlayStation games, and i also use it for viewing photos from my PC. More die-hard home cinema enthusiasts may find the resolution not up to scratch, and it does suffer slightly from the screen door effect, but i find the picture excellent. Another obvious benefit is the massive lamp life of 4000 hours, which means it'll be a very long time before it needs changing. I have also found that this projector has one of the cheapest replacement lamp prices around, from just £140. The brightness is brilliant and this projector is so easy to set up and use that anybody could use...

Epson EMP X5
Advantages: Good price
Disadvantages: Low resolution
...This is projector is affordable but still has some positive features. The resolution of 1024 x 768 allows clear projection with much detail. However if you are interested in High definition or multimedia i would not recommend this. However for business or education this is perfect. The 2200 ANSI Lumens allows the pictures to be very bright in well lit conditions. It was very easy to set this up and epson provided all the cables in needed. This epson website is also very helpful for driver and software updates. Even though this is not a DLP projector i think this projector meets its demands nicely and is a good price. Other products to consider would be the Optoma range since they also are very good....

Budget priced projector fits the bill
Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: No fancy features
...100A SVGA Projector - 2000 ANSI lumens, 3yr de-install/re- install warranty
* Image Brightness - 2000 ANSI lumens
* Max Resolution - SVGA 800 x 600 (Native)
* Dimensions - W x D x H 27.2 cm x 20 cm x 8 cm
* Weight - 2.3 kg
* Image Contrast - Ratio 2000:1
* Bulb Type - 180 W (3500 hours normal / 4000 hours eco)
* Power - 100 - 240VAC, 50/60Hz
* Supported Resolutions - 1280 x 1024; 1152 x 870 (Mac 21"); 640 x 480 (VGA/Mac 13"); 1024 x 768 (XGA) compressed
* Image Size - 0.7 - 7.69 m
* Throw Ratio - 1.9 to 2.1
* Projection Distance - 1.2 m - 12 m
Now I don't pretend to understand much of the above but from my perspective it was a relatively small machine which would make it easily portable and at 2.3 Kg it wasn't too heavy. The lamp life is reasonable especially in eco mode which should easily cope with the use...

Can you buy a full HD projector on the cheap?
Advantages: Cheap and bright full HD machine
Disadvantages: Poor colour reproduction
...This is probably the first of the high end home cinema projectors that I have felt is capable and bright enough to use in a commercial setting. It combines an impressive specification with a price that is low enough to bring full HD projection into their home cinema or meeting room. With comparable machines often costing two or three times as much as this machine, where are the downsides to buying a full HD projector on the cheap?
Specification/Connectivity
This machine is a 3600 lumen projector with a texas instruments full HD DLP chip and a 5 segment colour wheel. There is connectivity for HDMI, DVI-D, 2x VGA, VGA out, component video, s-video and composite video. There are audio inputs for all the inputs allowing you to use the projector as the switching centre for your home cinema if required. It has RS232 and ethernet...

Sony's Excellent Projector
Advantages: High Brightness, 3LCD Projection System, AIAS (Advanced Intelligent Auto Setup), Short Focal Length
Disadvantages: Abit Noisy
...The Sony VPL CX21 is a bright, slim, and stylish projector designed for mobile applications. A friend of mine has this and we always watch movies on it. The projector has many features which I've written about below with brief explanation of each feature:
- High Brightness of 2100 ANSI Lumens
The projector has three Sony 0.63-inch LCD panels and a latest designed 165 W lamp, it has a brightness of 2100 ANSI lumens, which provides amazing image quality even in very high ambient-light. The projector has a resolution of XGA (1024 x 768), this simply means fine display of even the smallest details.
- 3LCD Projection System
This is what the Sony projector is all about, it has a 3LCD projection system which means the projected images are bright and natural and for this to be achieved it has 3 LCD panels. It provides high light...

Toshiba Equium
Advantages: Value For money
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...

Mini LED Projector with USB connectivity!
Advantages: LED bulb, quick on quick off, USB connectivity
Disadvantages: Wish it was offered in multiple colors
...I?ve owned the Optoma HD20 for a while now, and I must say it?s a great projector, but I?ve always wanted something portable, something that was small yet powerful, and that?s when I found the BenQ GP1. Of course, you can?t compare the performance between the GP1 and the HD20, but I got to say, for the price you pay for the GP1 and the size and weight of it, it really is an amazing mini projector.
Although only with 100 lumens, it is 100 lumens of LED (RGB not white) lamination, and I must say if you compare it with standard LCD or DLP 100 lumens, the LED?s 100 lumens are quite a few multiples higher. And the device is absolutely TINY! It weighs only 1.4 lbs (0.6 kg)! Another great thing is that the GP1, being LED, is able to have instant on/off capabilities, which saves a lot of time. And you can forget about changing bulbs, as LED...
