We found inside three boxes, each product was individually packaged, considering this set was so cheap I was expecting the items to be thrown in rather more haphazardly. Inside the toaster box itself, there was the usual plastic and polystyrene wrapping, a one year guarantee and the expected user manual, which I never once looked at and think I have probably lost now. Proline 2000 Third Time Lucky

Advantages: Inexpensive, Good sound and picture quality
Disadvantages: brand name has a poor track record with regards to dvd!

...Proline dvd players, it has to be said, have had a distinctly shaky start! The first model had to be recalled when it wouldn't play The Matrix. The second, sprayed gold and supposedly bug free, recently came a cropper when it wouldn't play the Gladiator features disk. Having just invested my hard earned cash in the third edition I'm hoping, for both our sakes, it'll be a case of third time lucky! Aesthetically speaking the Proline 2000 isn't the best looking bit of kit in this price bracket. Whilst Proline appear to have taken on board criticisms with the 1000 model the overall impression is still disappointing. The 2000 model is far smaller than its predecessor, ideal for a hi-fi unit, but on the downside less sturdy than it's sister. Gone too is the tacky gold finish, we now have a tacky silver finish! Proline 1000 - The BEST budget player

Disadvantages: Doesn't send screen format switching signals

...Anyone who has read my recent review on the Proline toaster, will have realised that this is the kettle from the set in which I also purchased the toaster. For anyone who has not read my toaster review, while looking for a vacuum cleaner my boyfriend spotted a gift set of a Proline toaster, coffee maker and kettle, for the bargain basement price of £15.00. The kettle came double boxed, one box for the set and one box for the kettle. The kettle was covered in plastic bags and polystyrene to keep it in place when we opened the box. There was a one year guarantee in the box along with, yep, you guessed it, another lost instruction manual. Honestly, who can blame me? Who needs instructions to boil a kettle?! My Experience of the Proline PDW041

...This is my first review, so please bear with me, but here goes: When our dishwasher broke just before Christmas (I haven't reviewed that one!) we tried to obtain a small tabletop dishwasher from the same place we got our original; to no avail. So looking through Comet's website they only had two, so we decided to go for the Proline as it was well within our budget. This, however, turned out the be our first mistake. Getting the unit home, we unpacked it and realised that the manual was written for people in hard water areas, as it instructs the user to add salt in the salt bay at the side, but doesn't say what happens when you don't need it.
