...This company specialises in insurance for static caravans, lodges and chalets and caravan holiday insurance cover from Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance plc. The company provides extensive cover for all sorts of holiday homes and personal needs. I first heard of this company when the insurance on my caravan was due for renewal. When I first purchased my caravan, the site owners had recommended a company and we had taken out insurance with them the previous year for £213.96. This company had sent us a renewal quote of £254.16. At the same time I had a letter from the caravan park telling us of Leisuredays. However, this month, whilst at University, my car was stolen, and found burnt out. It has been a fight to get a settlement, and they provide no update as to the status of the claim. Royal & Sun Alliance are a well known insurance provider, they are probably best known for their home and car insurance but if anything is 'insurable' I'm told they insure it. Highly recommended pet insurance provider

...Pet Plan certainly aren't the cheapest pet insurer, but they are one of the best! The main bonus that puts them ahead of the rest is their 'cover for life'. This means that each year, following the excess payment (mine is currently £45), the animal is covered for continuing illnesses. Many insurance companies only pay out for the same disease for one year only, or up to a certain amount. If your animal is diagnosed with a long term illness, this can mean disaster with these companies, as you will shortly find yourself paying the bills even though you thought your pet was insured. Pet Plan insure cats, dogs, horses and rabbits (there may be more that I am not aware of). You get a discount if you insure 3 animals with them. Pedigree animals are more expensive to insure than crossbreeds and Pet Plan rarely refuse to pay out...

Poor Service

Advantages: Provident's approved repairers provide courtesy cars.
Disadvantages: Very difficult to speak to senior person in their admin dep'ts in case of problems with claim.

(In fairness, it must be said that a courtesy car was provided for my use). It was precisely 6 weeks and 1 day before my car was returned. ...Prior to becoming an Internet user, I spent many an hour scouring adverts for telephone numbers of possible Insurance providers who seemingly were offering fantastic deals. Once through it would transpire that these deals were not all they were made out to be. Eventually I turned to Direct Line as my motoring insurance costs were escalating to ridiculous proportions. Within minutes they had undercut their rivals by quite a considerable amount. Because of this I made enquiries about their household insurance and again was favourably impressed by what they had to offer. ...Friendly call centre, and staff speak English, which is something that seems strange to mention. However, an increasing amount of call centres seem to be operated in non-UK countries. Some of them speak good English, others do not. I have been with Direct Line car insurance for over two years now, and I couldn't recommend them enough. My new car has been unlucky in having a couple of scooter riders bash into the back of it. They have all been correctly insured, and I haven't had to make a claim against my own policy yet!
