...( or PStwo )as it is now called is even easier to use than its bigger brother it features a built in I/R reciever for the DVD remote but they have done away with the ilink port which had no function on the old console. You can connect to the Internet with your new slim PS2 and enjoy the online features ( if you have broadband ) because your new machine has a built in network adaptor. Personally I recommend you purchase the USB headset for online gaming aswell but unlike the Xbox Live service for using the Xbox online the PS2 online service is totally free. However to use the online service you need a Network access disk and code to utilize the service fully, I sent off for mine on the 4th January 05 and have not recieved anything yet. ...After getting fed up with my Microsoft Intellimouse (standard), as the dirt hindered the use of the mouse, I decided to upgrade to the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer at a cost of £30 from buy.com with a voucher, its has an "optic eye" which enables it to work without any inner ball. After a years worth of testing all I can say is that it is excellent, it is fluid, never becomes clogged up with dust, and looks really cool with its silver case and red optic eye. It works really well on all surfaces excluding glass. Included in the box is the mouse, a ps2 adaptor(which therefore allows you to use either usb or ps2), basic manual and a installation cd to tweak the settings of the mouse, The only criticism I have towards the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer, is that it is only for right handers only, the colour begins to fade over time... ...This is the second of my reviews on mice, and as such it has a slightly upbeat nature in comparison to my last review on the XPRO mouse. That is not to say that the Microsoft Wheel Mouse is perfect, but it has many advantages over the XPRO mouse (the main one being, the fact that it doesn't wander off randomly). The Microsoft Wheel Mouse is a very typical OEM style optical mouse, with the standard two buttons and a scroll wheel. It is not spectacular looking, but looks and feels functional (looks aren't everything!). Mine was supplied with a PS2 adaptor so that I didn't have to use up a USB port on the machine - useful on older machines with few spare USB ports. ...When i bought this item i had the choice of various different makes, but i went for the logitech one because i liked the look. It has great feautres, has never stopped working for no apparant reason like some cordless things do and has never acted up ( by this i mean, intermittently not doing what it's told) it has both p/s2 connections and a usb connection. I struggled to get it to work with the standard p/s2 connection but once i attached the usb adaptor and plugged it in it worked straight away. It has many feautre buttons for changing the volume, opening windows media player, msn hotmail etc etc. All of these buttons work without installing te software. The game is played via the PS2 with the usual controllers but in addition to these there has to be one or two microphones connected to the console via a USB port so the complete equipment list for this game is as follows: the game itself, one/two microphones and an adaptor for the PS2 USB socket (for the microphones). The microphones/adaptor are transferable between games in the same series (Singstar 80's, Singstar Rocks!, Singstar Pop, Singstar 90's and Singstar Legends) so you only need to buy the microphones once!
