Advantages: too many
Disadvantages: a little dusty

...Had my PS3 for 3 months now and I am addicted. Graphics are amazing and i may now need to invest in a larger tv.... The look of the machine is cool - a bit retro and i believe there is a slim down version available soon. If you're thinking about a console - i can say its a genuine gem! the hardrive now stores all my photos and i'm starting to load my music too. One thing that is a very small niggle is the dust attraction... it seems to be loaded with static no matter what i do with it and it's always covered in dust. Although - that said it is a very small point to make. Games wise - i have GTA4, Burnout paradise, colin mcrea DIRT and the essential Call Of duty 4 - which is wrth the entire console on its own!!... Advantages: Superb graphic, sound and gameplay

...This is undoubtedly the best FPS on the ps3 console with amazing graphics, sound and gameplay. The surroundings are extremely realistic and the wide range of weapons is fantastic. Modern warfare is definitely the best in the series and the best war game on the market. Despite all of this praise, there are some minor flaws- the single player mode is very short and if you don't have online accessibility then your gameplay is extremely limited when you have completed the game. Also, the price is fairly steep as can be expected for a game of this quality but i managed to get it pre-owned in great condition for £28- bargain! Overall though, this game is the top FPS on the console and is an absolute definite purchase not only for fans of the genre but all ps3 owners!... Read review

...I got my Wii as part of a free mobile phone upgrade as it wasn't my intention to buy one as I already own a PS3. However, I wich I had bought one earlier. Let's be honest, the graphics aren't a comparison to the PS3 or XBox360 but the gameplay on the Wii is very addictive. So much so, the Mrs also plays on it and she's never played on the PS3. The Wii can also produce HD quality pictures which is within the Wii option menu. Since owning the Wii I have also bought the Wii Fit which is a great addition to the Wii console. I find the gameplay and general addictiveness with the Wii outshines the PS3 and XBox360. If you have an HD TV I recommend you upgrading the connecting wire to a component cable as this improves the picture quality no end. I can't recommend this console enough. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't give up my PS3 but the Wii... Read review

...a USB port on the back for connectivity, which is useful if you have a PSP or a computer to hook the controller up to. The Actual Console: The machine is black and shiny making it look very attractive. It is compaible with most types of memory card and the PSP. The PS3 can be positioned in an upright way if you don't have much space or want the PS3 to have better ventilation but it is just fine laying flat. There is 4 USB slots on the PS3 meaning that you can hook up a mouse and keyboard to the PS3 if you want to type information in rather than using the controller. This is actually very handy because you can now browse the internet from your PS3 so you can use the keyboard to type in web addresses and other things which is very useful as it takes a long time to type with a game controller. ...I think that the Xbox 360 is a very good console. It doesn't have the power like the PS3, but more people do own it, meaning more options online, although this will probably change in a few months/years time. But it is still a very good console!! Enjoy my review on the console!!! Looks I think that the 360 is a very good-looking console. I think that the dip in the middle of the console makes it look very cool! The console is made of dull white plastic, which is quite a good thing because it means that dust will not show up like it does on the PS3, although overall I believe that the PS3 is a better looking console! It is also quite a bulky console, but then again, so is the PS3, so you cannot really say that it is better or worse than the PS3 going on bulky-ness. ...When you think of a games console you think heavy, uncomfortable and always getting tangled in wires. Well not the PS3 sixaxis controller. The first point of interest is the wireless cabability of the controller. The controller uses bluetooth which allows a constant stream of information from the controller to the PS3 with no lag time. The second is because it is bluetooth the range of the controller is about 20m, you will never need this much length but it means there will be no-where in the room that you can't use it. The last point about bluetooth is that it does not need a direct connection therefore the contoller doesn't have to be in direct vie of the PS3. ...The main reason why you would want a fan attached to the PS3 is to cool it down. Everyone I have spoken to that has one finds that if they use it for long periods of game play (let's face it who doesn't), then the console gets very hot. This is very bad for it because all the components do not perform to their best, which may mean reduced performance while playing, or more crucially, a shorter life span. With the components inside getting overheated many times, it means that they will not last as long, and there have been some reports where PS3 get very slow or just stop. Sony have indicated that it does get hot sometimes, and have put LED lights on it to tell you to switch it off so it can cool down. ...I recently sold my XBox 360 as I desprately wanted to try a PS3. Having owned the previous Playstations I was not disappointed with my purchase. I was also looking for a Bluray player which at the time cost more than the PS3. This made my purchase even more worthwhile. My initial thoughts was that the PS3 is bigger than the XBox 360 but a lot more quiter. In fact, you barely know it's on. A bought the basic 40GB pack which I find more than sufficient. Some of the other benefits the PS3 has above the XBox 360 include: * Free Wireless Controllers as standard * Bluray Player Built-in.
