Yamaha PSR 3000 - A One-man Orchestra..

...really getting hooked on the likes of Jimmy Smith (a jazz organist), so I turned my attention to the electric organ. My first instrument was a small Lowry Holiday followed by a small Hammond (great keyboard sound, but rotten base). In my twenties, I turned professional and purchased a small Yamaha with Leslie speaker - (a sort of spinning speaker inside a cabinet that produced a rich sound). Because of it's light weight for portability and reasonable prices compared to most other organs, I have stayed loyal to Yamaha ever since. I now own a HE 8 (old technology now, which I will soon be updated no doubt) and a PSR3000 - a 61-key electronic keyboard, which is the focus of this review. Focus 1.8 TDCi - a great not so little car

Advantages: Fantastically economical for its class
Disadvantages: High torque from engine can be expensive on tyres

...I've had a Focus 1.8 TDCi for a little over a year, following a two year stint from a Fiat so I may be a little over enthusiastic about the Focus! However, I've been driving for over 20 years (Oh God that long...) and have driven a silly number of cars over this time. I think I've found a car I finally can settle with for at least the rest of the finance term!!! Which is unusual as I get bored very quickly! The feel of the car overall is one of comfort but without the disconnected feel you can get in some larger cars and you really can have the confidence in the motor to pull hard when you need it. Inside, the car feels roomy for its class and the seats seem to hug you quite nicely. I used to have to sit at a slight angle in many of my older cars to reach pedals and steer yet in the Focus I can sit in a relatively normal position...

18 Wheels of Steel - Haulin'

Advantages: Very Simple, Highly Addictive, Lots of Variety
Disadvantages: Can get slightly boring

...I don?t often play games on the computer, mainly because my computer isn?t capable of playing anything worth playing. However this is one of the few rare games that my computer can handle and is somewhat entertaining. Now I must say that Haulin? isn?t the latest game from the 18 Wheels of Steel franchise, in fact it comes somewhere in the middle, but if the old version is this good, the new version must be killer. 18 Wheels of Steel has a very simple game concept.You have to drive a truck from point A to point B without damaging the truck or getting fined by the police and losing all your assets and hence the game (big problem at the beginning for me). The game does give you a variety of what sort of goods you want to haul which can vary from a rack of cars to some vegetables and even animals. You?ll be hauling this stuff across America...

Land Rover Freelander 1.8 XEi petrol

Advantages: Excellent, unobstructed view for driver, spacey interior, useful wind-down back window, economical, great towing
Disadvantages: loss of power up hills, can have mechanical problems

...This vehicle is Great for a younger person, as it has a cheaper group for the insurance than most other 4x4's with it's 1.8 engine. With most other 4x4's having 2.0, 2.5 engines, I needed a 4 wheel drive but could not get/ afford the insurance with being just over 20 at the time. This vehicle competes well against other 4x4's in aspects of: TOWING, using a horse box I moved home in 3 trips and having put all the white goods in one trip I didn't even know I was towing. I have also used it to tow horses up and down the windy highland roads. It's ECONOMICAL petrol consumption. It is very SPACIOUS, I used my Freelander to move house filling it full to bursting and on the 400 + miles on country road and A roads it still managed an average of 37 to the gallon. Panasonic Lumix FZ18

Advantages: Large zoom, small size, extensive ISO rating and Leica lens
Disadvantages: No remote shutter release, facility, no auxiliary flash shoe, a little fragile.

...Having owned the FZ20 for some time I had no hesitation in buying the FZ18 when I saw it in the QVC shop in Birchwood. The price attracted me at £149.99 and then the 15% discount for my pensionable age on Mondays made it an absolute bargain. The only fly in the ointment? They only had the Silver models available but for that money money hey I can live with it. On first handling it is quite obviously somewhat smaller than the FZ20 and whilst the lighter weight is in some circumstances a bonus it doesn't feel as solid or sturdy as the FZ20. That aside it takes all my Olympus auxiliary lenses with the optional adapter. One good point over the FZ20 is that a 46mm Skylight filter can be left permanently screwed to the front of the lens; something of an oversight on the FZ20. 18 Hours of unmovable colour!

Advantages: Good range of colours - good value for money - 2 in 1 product.
Disadvantages: a bit hard to remove at end of day - a bit dry without the balm.

...12 hours just got longer! the original 12 hour superstay lipstick is now 18 hour superstay! I bought this lipstick product by mistake..I was actually wanting the loreal version, but never the less decided to give it a go! It comes packaged in a cardboard box with a little window in the front, so you can see your product colour before purchase. I do advise you to try a tester though, as the colour on your lips is a little different to the tube. When you open your package you will see that it is dual ended, at one end you have a small container of coloured lipgloss with a sponge tipped application wand. You apply this first, and allow a couple of minutes for it to dry, it does feel a little drying on the lips...but don't panic..this is where the other end comes in.... you open that like a regular lipstick and you will see an opaque...

THE 18-30 experience!

Advantages: amazing fun, free bars, an experience of a lifetime!
Disadvantages: expensive

...I have already written a review on the Tzante hotel, which is where we stayed on our 18-30 holiday to Laganas in Zante, and I stand by what I said before: Go there. It was perfect and of all the people I know who went to Zante this summer, we were the only people to be happy with our hotel! 9 of us girls went away with Thomas Cook and paid £360 (i think) for a weeks accomodation and flights on a room only basis. Expensive, yes. We could have got it cheaper had we waited until later to book the holiday but we didnt want to risk not getting all 9 of us in together! Nights out in Zante our great. Alcohol is expensive in many of the clubs although cheap in the liquour shops - which are all over the main clubbing strip. Make use of the free bars that you can get through the 18-30 nights and sometimes do listen to the deals advertised...

UNDER 18 AND OVER 30.

Advantages: Cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: Hardsell for poor entertainment

...It has been a few years since I took my first and last 18 - 30 holiday (well actually more than a few years) but after reminiscing with my old travel companion, all sorts of memories that I just have to pass on have been rekindled, and many more that I absolutely, positively will not. I guess the first question is why a blue eyed angle such as my self would go on an 18 - 30 holiday. Well I was studying Leisure and Tourism at college and thought it was about time I took some of the theory and put it into practice, being a student I couldn?t afford to. My friend and I hit the travel agents and looked at anything that would get us away. The cheapest holiday we could find was with Club 18 - 30 to Costa Brava. I think the holiday came to £180 for a week on bed and breakfast (dad paid which I thought was very nice). Now don?t get me...

Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec C-MAX.

Advantages: Roomy, upmarket quality & quiet.
Disadvantages: Hand brake position needs getting used to.

...7 footers! Upholstery is plain side panels with inset silvery zig zag finish, it comes in 2 colours according to the paint colour.ie Dark has light upholstery & light has dark finish. TOYS, adjustable steering column, upwards & in & outwards. Intermittent variable wipers with the advantage of speed for front match the speed for the rear wiper. If the front wipers are on and you go into reverse the rear wiper automatically wipes. Built in computer, giving mileage, MPG, amount of fuel left in tank, average speed, low outside temp and for those of you that go abroad changeable miles to kilometres. The engine, comes in 1.6 petrol/1.6 turbo diesel, 1.8 petrol & 2litre turbo diesel. Rated at 110 BHP for 1.6's, 120 BHP and 136 BHP. Fuel consumption so far has been impressive, todate I am achieving 36-36.5 MPG. Mileage is now at 23...
