Advantages: Works in relatively bright conditions, quiet Disadvantages: unreliable, very big, short bulb life
...Updated review.
I have been using the Panasonic PT AX 100E as my main TV, in conjunction with a freeview box and a DVD player, for just over a year now. I paid £900 for it then, but the price has dropped and even the improved PT AX200 can now be bought for about £700. The reason for the low rating is because of it's unreliability and Panasonic's inability to fix it when it went wrong, as described below. In all other respects it is a very good projector.
The picture quality is extremely good in a dark room and quite watchable during the day even with the curtains open for all but the darkest movies. In bright conditions the colours can become a little washed-out although there are various viewing options on the remote control to compensate a little. For some very dark films however you should wait until the room can be blacked out...

Review of Panasonic PT-AX 100E
Advantages: great interior; trunk space; looks Disadvantages: invoice is up due to high demand
...Ahh, drop drooling over the car! You must resist the urge. It costs way too much now, just wait till 150k of them are shipped next year. The PT Cruiser is the first real challenge the Beetle gets since its rebirth, as its even more funky than the VW, and I actually think its a better car. First of all, the Cruiser is hardly a small car like the Beetle. Its not a big one either; however, the fact that you can fold down all the seats except for drivers gets it the categorization of being a truck. Yeah, not as big as the ones you are used to, but this thing is indeed a truck. But no, some will say its just a van, and others will claim is a sedan. I tell you what; PT Cruiser is a hybrid, a car that should be given its own category.
First of all, its looks will completely shock you. The PT styling is completely retro, except for the fact...
Advantages: Nice toaster and it illuminates Disadvantages: Only worked for a few months
...Those of you who recently read my Breville Kettle review will know that I also purchased the matching toaster as a set.
Unfortunately the toaster has not lived up to my expectations, and sadly departed from my kitchen only a few months after purchase.
I do not seem to have much luck with toasters at all, and if I manage to keep one beyond it's guarantee then I consider it to be fantastic!
I have bought cheap toasters, expensive toasters, and they all never seem to last that long, so I have came to the conclusion that I may as well just stick to buying cheaper ones from now on.
This Breville PT45 toaster came as part of a set including the kettle. I paid £35 for the set from Littlewoods, although both kettle and toaster are available to buy separately.
As I mentioned in my kettle review, I really wanted a kettle that illuminated...

Review of Breville PT45
Advantages: Picture quality stunning, panasonic auto size brill. Disadvantages: no external speakers supplied, only one RGB scart [4 AV total]
...function of a TV is the Picture !!! and this one gets 5 stars !!! [sounds ok too], read 'What Tv and Video' Apr 1999 review [got 5 stars then and they still give it's replacment 5 stars ]. The newer TX47 PT10 replaced it in 2002 and uses the same picture tubes, so thats saying something about the quality of the electronics.
Main features that make this TV shine are: 100Hz [no flicker] picture, Digital picture noise reduction [ no grain], non-reflective 47 inch screen, high picture quality even in a brightly lit room, An extra wide viewing angle (160° horizontal and 86° vertical),and mutch more !!!!
To conclude: if i was buying today, I would still put this TV in my top 5 !!! [ 4 years on ]....
Advantages: Nice design, good value, teletext, perfect for a small room Disadvantages: mono, not stereo
...I received the Philips 14PT 1556 for my birthday a couple of years ago, so I don?t know exactly how much my parents paid for it, but I believe you can pick one up for about £100.
The TV itself has a 14 inch CRT colour screen, weighs 9kg, has mono sound output, an infrared remote control, and a one year warranty. This has proved more than adequate for the use in my bedroom, although because of the lack of stereo and small size I wouldn?t recommend using it as the primary TV in the house.
The TV is modelled in metallic anthracite, has a modern curved design, with large functional buttons on the front. It can be tuned either automatically or manually using the supplied remote control or the buttons on the TV itself. The menu system on the TV is clear and easy to use ? even without reading the instructions. Brightness, colour, contrast...

Review of Philips 14PT1556
Advantages: Looks, build quality, smooth to drive, roomy, easy to park Disadvantages: Not a lot
...About 18 months ago when I was in New England I rented a Chrysler PT cruiser for two weeks & clocked up more than 1000 miles, it gave me a good opportunity to assess the vehicle for this review.
As you will see with the pictures of the actual vehicle it is a modern interpretation of a 1930s American hot rod & Chrysler have done rather a good job. The low front & high rear ends with slab sides mimics the old hot rods as does the pointed bonnet line & front wing styles. The retro look is carried over to the interior with body coloured painted metal dashboard along with little details as the fake ivory gear knob & old style chrome door handles.
The car was originally to be badged as a Plymouth PT Cruiser but when the parent company (Chrysler) decided to terminate the Plymouth brand the name was changed to simply Chrysler. The 'PT...

Review of Chrysler PT Cruiser
Advantages: Unique styling, retro looks, shiny gear lever Disadvantages: Where do I start?
...When Chrysler launched the PT Cruiser six years ago I was among the crowd who went: "Wow!" Put simply, I thought it was perhaps the single bravest move an automobile company had made in many years.
The concept of taking an old Hot Rod style vehicle and turning it in to an every day usable vehicle was intriguing and the retro styling, inside and out, was definitely an attraction to me, and to many other road users.
It took me some time to get my hands on one of these cars, and eventually I ended up putting my Jeep Grand Cherokee into the garage for some extensive (not to mention expensive) repairs in order to achieve my goal and drive one of these cars for a few days.
And what a disappointment it was.
The exterior design is still as bold and exciting as ever. It oozes uniqueness and says something about the driver's desire...

Review of Chrysler PT Cruiser
Advantages: fantastic looking, reliable and good performance Disadvantages: not the easiest to park
...Love it or hate it, no one is indifferent to this car.
‘Might as well be a hearse!’ screamed my sister, ‘don’t EVER put flowers on the back shelf whatever you do!’. However I think the PT Cruiser, with it’s gorgeous retro styling and totally unique appearance, is a fantastic looking car, and two weeks into owning mine I am quite delighted with it (although I wouldn’t have gone for a black one).
It’s the styling that sets it apart from most other cars on the road (certainly anything else within our budget and range of options). The pronounced grill, curved fenders, downright practical ‘liftgate’ (this car has it’s own vocabulary!) give it a look which combines the nostalgic with the contemporary, the practicality with the uniqueness, the versatility...
