Makes Public Transport Fun!!!
Advantages: Good graphics, good sound, loads of extra features, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Not much manafacurer support
...start and end of level saving, which annoys the hell out of me I just have to add. If you turn it on without a game in it boots to an easy to navigate home menu which allows you to access a wide range of extra features (previous title). It is also quite erganomic, it does not force you to bring your hands very close together as many portable games consoles and mobile phones do.
5/5
Manufacturer Support
There is a booklet of trouble shooting that comes with the PSP that seems to address any possible problem you could encounter but, as far as I can see, no helpline to call etc.
2/5
Value For Money
Well worth it, will eliminate bordem whenever you are forced to sit in one place for any extended period of time, such as public transport.
5/5
Overall
A nice little buy, I now take this pretty much...

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Advantages: FAIRLY CHEAP TRAVEL
Disadvantages: LACK OF BUSSES ON SOME ROUTES
...WALK OR BUS IT FROM A TO B? WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
As I dont drive and most of the locations I have to get to are a long distance, the only option is to take public transport. For shorter journeys I prefer to walk.
There are three options available to me. Walk, bus or train for the local services.
I will walk up to a 35 minute journey depending on the weather and my level of tiredness, but im very happy to do so as its a great way to keep fit. Sometimes I have no choice in the matter as some parts of plymouth are not served by the busses or you have to pay an expencive amount to be taken all round the houses to get to the location you require.
The bus, well for most routes its quite cheap and quick but could do with more routes. In plymouth we have two main companies, Citybus and First Western, both are reliable but First...

public transport? what public transport!!
Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: see op
...With regards to public transport, nothing can beat the convenience of your own car.
I would use public transport, if it was a viable option, but it's not. Not for me. I live in a rural village, and before everyone gets on my case saying "Ah well, that doesn't count". It does count. I and my family are part of the community and I am a memeber of the public, therefore I should be entitled to better 'public' transport.
I am interested in the envirnment and such like, but I will not be put down for using my car. To me it is essential and vital to me and my family's life style.
I'll give you some examples of me using public transport:-
Where I live, I have a village store (too expensive for a weekly shop), a butcher shop, a pub and a post office. The bus service is one every hour. Not regular i.e on the hour, on the half...

THE NIGHTMARE OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Advantages: All in opinion
Disadvantages: All in opinion
...How many of us rely on public transport? For most of us it?s the only means of travelling from one place to another. How many of us have waited at a bus stop for almost an hour on a cold winter?s day? How many of us have had to put up with train delays? How many of us have had to push our way through crowds of people in order to get on the train? Transportation in London is a nightmare and this is only the surface of the problem.
London?s Public Transportation system must be one of the busiest and largest in Europe, and it has all the overcrowding problems to match. There are two main rush hours in London which if you can avoid then do so, they are between 8 and 9.30am or later, from 4.30 to 6.30pm. Although not many of us can avoid travelling these times because most of us start work at the same time and finish at the same time...

Review of Member Advice on Transport

Public transport should be re-nationalised.
Advantages: Sociable. Environmentally friendly.
Disadvantages: The state it is in at the moment.
...We need a properly integrated public transport system. At the moment people just can't be bothered to buy expensive train tickets in order to wait for ages for trains which don't run on time, and buses which do not give adequate information about when they will arrive or where to get on.
For all its faults though - public transport is the ONLY viable system of transport at the moment. If we carry on driving everywhere, we will become a nation of obese couch-potatoes.
I do not drive and don't intend to start driving. I usually find I can get where I want to go with public transport - even if it is in the middle of Leicestershire somewhere! Whether I arrive on time is another matter.
If the government brought all public transport back under public ownership then it could be properly planned, so that buses and trains would actually...

Public transport just isnt getting better
Advantages: Usually come at some point
Disadvantages: Always always late
...I have noticed recently that the government are constantly promising us things they dont seem to achieve. I do support the labour party and am so happy not to be ruled by the incompetant tory party but Labours views on public transport are wrong.
Being a poor student I have to use public transport at least 2times a day, sometimes 4times a day. It has its advantages to a car such as in the short term it is cheaper because there is no way I can afford a car! But this advantage is considerably outnumbered by the disadvantages.
2 years ago I used to go to the local town centre for 65p. and now it is a pound. Ok so 35p isnt exactly a huge increase but if it is every day throughout the week that I have to pay this money it soon mounts up.
Also, have you ever heard the phrase you wait for ages and then 2come at once? Well it is...

Expensive public transport
Advantages: Public transport
Disadvantages: Unreliable, grumpy drivers, expensive
...and swearing at everyone, but the driver didn't make him get off or anything!
The buses are normally very clean and I hardly ever see any chewing gum stuck to seats or the floors, I very rarely see any litter either.
Overall service?
Pricey and I definately wouldn't rely on the buses getting to you on time, espicially at rush hour time and when it rains/snows that always seems to make the buses late or not even run!
I know a lot of people dont have any other modes of transport but if you have to get somewhere for a specific time I suggest you get your bus at a reasonable time.
I also think the electronic boards aren't very helpful as it doesn't inform you if buses are running late or have been cancelled....

It's no holiday on the buses.
Advantages: See text.
Disadvantages: See text.
...This is a review on the joys of public transport, whatever they may be! We shall now take a little time to consider any possibilities that there may be, both for or against this supposed public service. And anything could come of it!
On the plus side, by using public transport you are in fact taking advantage if one of the many wonderful services that is being provided for by your local council. Yes, the services are run by a company that is not to do with them - but they can only run the service, if it is authorised by the council.
You are also taking the greener option, because the service would run even if your car does. Therefore, by leaving your car at home to take the bus you are in fact reducing the number of vehicles on the road by at least one. And if you encourage other people to do the same, then you can sit back...

London Transport Museum
Advantages: Great place to take kids
Disadvantages: Not very big and a bit pricey for adults.
...galleries, Shop and Café. There are lifts to all floors and many of the exhibits are sunk into the ground to allow wheeled access through the carriages and so on. There are ramps for all short drops and the gangways are plenty wide enough for manoeuvring buggies and chairs.
What will you see~
Set over three floors the museum shows the history of public transport in London over the last two hundred years. The journey starts as you take the lift from the entrance to the top floor.
This unheralded introduction is quite clever but easy to miss. In the lift you are meant to feel like you are travelling back in time, news headlines coming through the speakers tell of the death of Princess Diana, Armstrong walking on the moon, peace in our time and so on until the doors open and you see horse drawn omnibuses. However by the time you twig what...
